The training will cover all the usual content of the Phase 1, and working with clients both traditionally in-person, as well as online Brainspotting Therapy. The training is fully credited towards certification.
Brainspotting Trainer, BSPUK
Brainspotting is both an in person and effective online therapeutic modality/psychotherapy and the training will incorporate not only the key principles of Brainspotting but also experiential embodied practice of working with others online using BSP techniques and the core principles of dual attunement.
Students will first learn the phenomenological approach that underpins strategies for Brainspotting, followed by strategies for identifying and processing Brainspots.
Attention will be given to the utilization and integration of Brainspotting into ongoing treatment, including highly dissociative clients. Brainspotting is adaptable to almost all areas of specialization.
Brainspotting provides therapists with powerful tools which enable their patients to quickly and effectively focus and process through the deep brain sources of many emotional, somatic and performance problems.
Seminar Objectives
- Understand the theory and the components of Brainspotting
- Utilize the techniques of “Inside window”, “Outside window” and “Gazespotting”
- Apply the advanced resource model
- Apply the theories and practices of Brainspotting
- Take Brainspotting into their daily practice
This online training is facilitated by Dr Mark Grixti, UK and International Brainspotting Trainer
Dr Mark Grixti
Dr Mark Grixti is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, systemic therapist and EMDR consultant based in Sussex, United Kingdom.
Mark is an experienced UK and International Brainspotting Trainer and Brainspotting Practitioner. His work in the field spans all ages and both online and in person approaches, all of which he brings to BSPUK Trainings. He is also an experienced Consultant in Brainspotting offering consultation (called supervision in the UK), including online group consultation, popular in its richness of learning and clinical application.
