  1. There was a problem getting a prescription that was supposedly called in. The pharmacy said it wasn’t called in. It was extremely difficult to get help in correcting this by phone.

  2. Asked about full body yearly check he said he could see melanoma a mile away didn’t have to check body gave me scrip. That burnt the hell out of my skin had to use cold compresses for 24 hrs when he talked to me he didn’t make much sense. Thank you Jim De

  3. Appointment was changed to the Punta Gorda office without notification, found out when I arrived at the Port Charlotte office for the appointment I had made a year ago. Had to reschedule to July.

  4. I had a possible issue, they got me in quickly on a day and time I requested They saw me, checked the area in question, verified it was nothing serious and I was on my way. I would use them again

  5. I use this practice for dermatology needs and brought my parents in when they moved to the area. Even before they saw the doctor, they reported that they wouldn’t go back. Front office staff We’re rude and condescending. I can attest that I also thought the women were rude.

  6. My second trip was even better than the first. The skin cancer that was operated on is gone. They did another freeze on a pre-cancerous growth and were done. Thanks!

  8. The dermatologist and the staff are very friendly knowledgeable atmosphere was awesome the office and examination rooms were very clean and sterile I would recommend coastal dermatology everyone I know

  9. I was treated by Dr. Levitt. He is new to Coastal Dermatology, He brings a great many years of experience with him. I will be requesting a switch to him as my regular doctor.

  10. I only have positive comments about Dr. Gaar. I have had basal and squamous cell cancers in the past and Dr. Gaar does a thorough full body exam. My questions and concerns are addressed in a personal and professional manner. I readily recommend Dr. Gaar.

  11. Very poor scheduling. On follow up visit i was not even on schedule even though i had their written copy. They said they could squeeze me in if i would wait about an hour. Never had a followup visit.

  12. Had a biopsy done over 3 weeks ago and had not yet had a call from the office about the results. This has happened several times before from this office. Also, no one answeres the phone there, evry extension I tried today sent me to voicemail. Customer communications appers to be a low priority at this office.

  23. Great Dr. Not crazy about their iPad registration. They could have sent me a link to my email address so I could have done it at home where I have all my information instead of balancing the iPad on my lap leaving a lot of information out because I did not have it at the time.

  24. It was an informative visit but I wish I had had a written synopsis of what was said and treatment options. Without my spouse being with me due to Covid 19 protocol, I did not have my second pair of ears to catch all the information.

  97. All staff was helpful, friendly and courteous. The appointment was within 2 weeks of my call and the ensuing procedure 2 weeks thereafter. They are obviously very concerned and caring about their patients’ health. I’m so glad I got my issue addressed here!
