Alaska Heart & Vascular Institute Reviews ( 58 )

  1. Excellent staff especially the gentlemen that scheduled me for my latest EP visit and device check. I would recommend this clinic for any cardiology needs in Alaska. You are in good hands with the staff here at Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute . Please disregard the negative reviews.

DONT RETURN CALLBACK REQUESTS I EVEN WENT INTO THE T BUILDING AND TRIED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AFTER 25 MINS.OF HER INVESTIGATING SOMETHING SHE TELLS ME THEY WILL GIVE ME A CALL TO SCHEDULE WHEN I WAS AT THE DESK LOL all to no avail still no appointments omg fml

  3. Unsatisfactory service. I was referred to get a test done and then visit a doctor. I went in and got my test done and then the receptionist asked me to schedule the doctor visit. I said yes however we forgot to do it. I called later and they told me that they do not have a referral for me to visit with a doctor which is just absurd.

  4. I had to go into this to do a CTA and Peter, Tom, Lisa and Dr. KELLEY all was so nice. I had a reaction to the dye and Peter and Tom didn’t leave my side. They are awesome. Dr Kelley saw me because he was in between patients. Honestly only want to see Kelley of I do have to go to Anchorage.

  5. Discounted everything I said, told me I was overreacting, and that there was nothing wrong with me, told me that even though I can’t lay flat cuz I wake up gasping for air unable to breathe and your doc said it’s probably heartburn. And my …

  6. I had a great experience with all of my visits here. Even when I was running behind 10 minutes they still saw me. I did call ahead and let them know. The front desk was polite and Dr Quinn was a pleasure. I felt heard and taken seriously and they did everything needed to make sure I was taken care of.

  7. Doctors have been great. Nursing staff needs a lot of work. Just had one hang up on me after saying you have repeated yourself over and over. I get it. Well.. patient care dosent seem to be a great concern of the nursing staff… but I would highly recommend dr. Wu. And some of the other doctors.

  8. I am a healthy 30 year old female that suffered SCA. 4 months later they’re no closer to finding out what caused it or why I continue having chest pains and other symptoms. They don’t seem motivated to find answers even though my EF has …

  9. Lack of attention to detail, each visit is like starting over, reminding the doctor and staff about why they are seeing you. Incoherent plan of treatment, unresponsive, rude. The result of a virtual monopoly in cardiac care. Prime example of insurance harvesting.

  10. I highly recommend Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute. I needed two ablations for two different issues, and it went great both times. I highly recommend Dr. Compton. He took the time to clearly explain what was happening my heart so that I …

  11. Won’t let me do a stress on my heart because im not vaccinated…. Bringing my services else were. And if I end up finding out I have an issue there will be more done!

  12. Dr. Wu has been following my care for the last few years. I mostly saw him at the Homer specialty clinic, and once in his Anchorage office.

  13. This is one of the worst! And I mean WORST medical providers I have ever had to work with! They have yet to release my father’s medical information to his surgeons out of state and everyday they don’t is a day my dad is closer to death!!!! …

  14. These people have been life savers for my spouse and, in turn, myself. If you have a heart or vascular issue of any kind this is the place to be seen in Alaska. Dr. Willcox restored my spouses quality of life, as did Dr. Wu. These people …

  15. If I could give zero stars I would. Today I called to make an appointment, I was drilled like a drill sergeant. I want to find some medical records first before they will even make an appointment for me. How does somebody go get their heart …

  20. I worked at Alaska Heart Institute in Anchorage, Alaska for 5 years. The physicians and leadership truly respect and care for their employees and patients. A lot of time, energy and heart goes into finding ways to improve the experiences …

  21. The doctors are great. The nurses, not so much. I’ve never had such an issue with anyone until recently. 11/16/2018 did a holter monitor. I turned it in. It is now 12/27/2018, and I havent even received my results. But, they have them. I’ve …

  22. Well, I did not have a primary care physician, so talking to these folk was not really possible, but I did manage to get a referral through an urgent care clinic, and then things started happening. In fact, the biggest barrier to my …

  23. Thanks to my wife for letting me use ‘her’ Google account to leave this rating.

  27. They do not have enough people to answer the phone. It has been that way for years. It’s not just a covid thing. I’ve spent over an hour last week on hold. I left 3 messages so I could get an appointment for my father after being released …

  28. This is an awful place to work with, they do not coordinate with your referring doctor’s office and the employee’s never call back. I would not trust this office with my family member’s care. I would like to add that when I asked for help …

  29. These people are a complete NIGHTMARE. If I could give less than one star, I would. The facility is nice enough, but a long wait time for no reason I could see. The procedure I was sent for was completely unnecessary. Clearly the Anchorage …

  30. When I got a call to get my appointment first scheduled, I was told would be at the “providence location at 8am, please arrive 15 min early.” When I arrived, there was no one to check me in until 5min to 8:00. At that time I was told my …

  31. One star seems generous. Horrific service. They completely ignore their clients. No one answers the phone or returns messages. Been trying to get a prescription refilled for months (I’ve been with them for 15 years), and I simply cannot get …

  32. I share my complete disgust with the rest of the reviewers here. Unfortunately AHVI has a monopoly here in Alaska and they make sure to take advantage of that by taking your money and giving nothing in return. Getting an appointment is hard …
