I’ve had both trash and recycling service at my house for years. I’ve never had an issue with them getting picked up as scheduled.

There is no online notice when Thanksgiving pickup occurs. Also, no way to email them. And the new waste bins we ordered have never arrived.

Customer service rude. Because I did not have my trash out by 6AM and driver saw me put it out they did not pick it up. Canceled my service, just not worth it. In looking at my last bill, they charged me for extra trash when I was on vacation and did not put out any trash.

I wanted to comment about the phone issue at Alaska Waste in Anchorage. I too called multiple times to be on hold for 20-30 minuets just to be disconnected. It has been happening for the last 2 months and can get frustrating.
$25 “reactivation fee?!?!?” Just for taking 30 seconds to enter a different credit card! Bogus. Their weekly service is ok, although every now and then they don’t pick up your trash. Have to call them to have them come back. They need competition.
There was a wait until I got through. When Christina came on the phone everything went like clockwork. She got my information, brought up my account, and emailed me the payment from 2015 thru 2018. Wish I could leave zero stars. Terrible customer service, BS fees added without warning, took our trashcan for “non-payment” when we are setup on auto-pay and had zero balance due. Their mistake, yet charged us over $50 in fees to bring our can back out.
