  7. Cilco has terrible customer service, terrible response time, and terrible reliability. Scum of the earth. You can tell the employees truly don’t care. That’s a telltale sign of a company that doesn’t care. I should get 5 stars just for dealing with them.

  10. Terrible customer service and still without power. Was told to be home at 8 am for service and now they are saying sometime today. Not acceptable!! All because of their mistake I lost a freezer full of food no power had to stay at a hotel. Definitely looking for new power company.

  13. I set aside time from a busy schedule (I have to work for a living) so they could do a “meter exchange”. No one showed up, I waited all afternoon. They didn’t bother to call with an explanation either. If they can call me to let me know when they will arrive, can’t they call and let me know if they’re not coming?!!

  21. I was having issues keeping my water heater pilot light lit. During the night my furnace pilot light went out. Woke up to 62 degrees in the house. Called Ameren and they had someone to my house within a half hour to replace the meter. Awesome service. With a wife and two children at home the response was much appreciated.

I was going to do the survey at the end but I never received the option to. She was fantastic, very polite and professional. Don’t ever call the automated number unless you want to waste your entire day. 10 minutes to literally get transferred to a person, just so they can transfer you BACK to speedpay which is automated. Completely awful customer service. I am unable to pay this bill that they keep harassing me about, because I can’t talk to a real person.
