Wanted to drop a few lines to thank linemen and others who worked in the early hours of thanksgiving morning to restore our power. BARC is definitely not the most wallet friendly company I’ve used and aren’t always the friendliest when you have a complaint, but they are very swift in getting your power restored!
Really thankful for BARC’s advancement of rural broadband. It is amazing internet. When there are outages, power is always restored quickly for us. Everyone has been courteous that we’ve interacted with, and I appreciate BARC being a leader in clean energy, rural internet access and solar. Thank you!
I’ve never known a power company to be this bad. We lose power multiple times a day and get fed the same line “We’re working on it” We’ve used so much propane in the backup generator that it’s costing us more than our power bill per month. Looks like it’s time to contact the SCC because this is unacceptable.
No communication whatsoever. Not with customers or with their own employees. Statements are contradicted depending on who you speak to. They shut my power off with no notice or email and it cost me over $800 to get it back on just for them …

At least 1 power outage a week. I wish we could switch to another provider but apparently that is not possible in our area.
Unreliable service. Extremely poor communication with customers. Website is pathetic. Least responsive and least reliable utility I’ve ever had.

Payed my internet bill and they won’t cut my internet on for me to use even know I Payed for it
BARC provides great service to their customers. During a recent week of heavy storms they worked many long hours to restore power to their customers.
