  1. Poor customer service. It takes forever to get any answers from these people. They never call back and never follow up. It can take months to purchase a product through them.

  3. Impossible to get through to a person on the phone at Portland ME location. I had to go there in person to speak to someone….I was the only one in the store and was waiting, I called them and was put on hold and not one phone rang ??

  5. These people went above and beyond for my friend in a pandemic to get her a lift chair so she could sleep at night. Excellent customer service and caring compassionate people here.

  6. Unless you show up to the business and wait for someone to assist, you will never get a phone call or email. Their contracts with any insurance needs to be revoked.

  7. Same experience as many others. Hard to get someone on the phone, hard to get exact answers. Even had on person hang up because I asked them to clarify what information they were looking for. Save yourself some frustration and find a place that will at least act like they care about you. This place will not.

  8. Visiting from out of state when mom’s wheelchair wheel broke. Black Bear was a life saver. Not only did they have replacement wheels,the replaced it on the spot. Truly a lifesaver,with friendly staff.

  9. It’s very frustrating to work with a so called professional company that has such a poor level of communication between providers, follow through of what they say they will do, disfunction in the billing office, and lack of awareness of their customers account.

I have to rely on them for all my child’s needs and they make you feel like a nusence when you calk to get an update, they have lost multiple scripts for equipment and just down right dropped the ball numerous times. Wish there was another company we could get his equipment through.

  17. I work for an agency in the State of Maine and I have had continual issues with them to get back to me and my consumers within a reasonable time frame. The one in Bangor specifically is bad. I had a consumer waiting for over 9 months for a wheelchair then they double billed Medicaid for the chair when he still hadn’t received it.

The worst service I’ve ever experienced, actually had to make multiple (5) calls to place a wheel chair order for my mother and to date over a month later, no one has returned mine or the OT’s calls (numbering well over 10) requesting updates, or to explain changes in billing.
