BPU provides power, water, and wastewater treatment with in the city limits of Brainerd. We also provide wastewater treatment to all of the Baxter area and power to some of the Baxter area.

Run like Comcast. /// EDIT: Comcast is more fair and reasonable. These mean spirited people enjoy it when you are struggling to pay the very high energy costs they charge, and they love it when they get to cut you off.
Bpu is the worst electric company ever, ridiculous prices and deposit you pay for what people use before you it’s a joke! Power goes out all the time and takes them forever to fix. Try to report an outage an the website won’t allow it, call to report trees down that took the power lines with, press 1.. what a waste of time, it rings and rings then hangs up. Mind you this is the emergency contact number. No sense in even trying again, hope no one gets electrocuted…

Writing a review to balance out all the negative ones! They’ve always been courteous and fair with me, and the power is always back on in a reasonable time if there’s an outage. I don’t have any complaints.
