Bright Health Reviews ( 51 )

  1. Horrible! This is insurance is not easy to work with, read the fine print, they don’t cover much, they don’t work well with providers, and they are new and inexperienced.

  2. Run, far away. They cover virtually nothing. So far I went to both an Urgent Care and ER near my home, they covered zero. I will be dumping Bright ASAP.

  3. This company is changing the healthcare insurance industry for the better. If you are tied of the same old model then you definitely should check them out!

  4. It would be kind of nice at some point if you could acknowledge whether as a candidate your application was considered or denied. Makes me wonder what I would be walking into – given the other horrible reviews. FOLLOW UP to YOUR RESPONSE. IT WASN’T A MATTER OF THE RESPONSE BEING TIMELY – THERE WAS NO RESPONSE – AT ALL, NO CLOSURE.

  5. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY A DIME!! They are a startup (just raised Series B) and operate like one. They do not understand their own policies and the staff is sophomoric at best. I pay thousands a year for coverage, and thousands a year out of pocket. Yet, Im healthy and have only one issue, a medical eye condition.

  6. Have called repeatedly, everyone hangs up on me. My I’d # is printed wrong. Have spent as long as 96+ minutes on hold. If I try the call back feature, they let the phone ring one time and hang up.

  7. HORRIBLE, run from this company as fast as you can, I signed with this insurance company my self and my 2 boys back in December of 2017. I needed surgery on both of my feet due to bone spurs that developed. I was denied surgery because …

  8. Bright is an amazing company changing healthcare through innovation by leveraging technology. Bright truly focuses on member care and strives to always promote positive change.

  9. BrightHealth has been a great company to work with. They have been very responsive to all of my questions and everyone I have dealt with has been professional and courteous.

  10. The plan that I had with Bright Health didn’t cover my most vitally important medicines. Making it nearly impossible for me to afford them.
This taught me to always ask. Which , I was sure that I did.

  11. This company values their brokers and their members. They have a great portfolio of product offerings for Individuals looking for insurance for themselves and their families. If any issues arise they are quick to address the issue and work to find a solution.

  12. We started using Bright Health after United left the individual market in Colorado. The coverage was reasonable in terms of cost and the benefits. We hope to continue to work with them next year, too!

  13. I work with Bright Health as a vendor and have been impressed with their structure and professionalism. Working with multiple departments across their business, it’s clear they care about their customers and they care about their partners.

  14. HARD to work with and TERRIBLE coverage! They lie too, they told my doctor and I they would approve a medication and then continued to deny it over and over (leaving me in intolerable pain no less)! When I would call they would tell me it …

  15. It’s wonderful to work with an health insurance company that actually listens to there agents and takes action. We are able to give customer feedback and make suggestion on things that need improving and Bright Health actually follows up.

  16. Bright is a horrible company that wastes a lot of money thus making your health insurance cost more. Constantly changing their mind on manager paying out huge severances. Then hiring new replacements with huge signing bonuses.

  17. I have had coverage with Bright Health since December 2016, as my most recent employer had a 90-day wait period on health insurance. Once I got my health insurance through my employer, I decided to keep Bright in case anything happened. I …

  18. I’ve left multiple voicemails this week and none of my calls have been returned. Zero. All emails to my Bright House rep are bouncing. The reason I just looked them up online was to see if they’re even in business anymore. Don’t bother. Spend the extra for Blue Cross instead.

  19. If I could give 0 stars I would. I enrolled through Connect for Heath in 2017, not knowing all of the rules. When I tried to make life changes for the year 2017, It has been a nightmare not only dealing with Bright Health but the exchange …

  20. They changed my premium from 60 dollars a month to nearly 400 a month without informing me and I can’t get anyone on the phone to dispute this nor can I access my online account. Bright is a scam

  21. I have been waiting for months for the visa card for the health insurance rewards and the card has never arrived at my house. I call every week and they always tell me that they will send a new one and they never do so, it is sad that they lie like that to those who are subscribed to their health insurance

  22. I work as a vendor to Bright Health and couldn’t ask for a better client. They are communicative and kind. They provide insight and context that allows us to do our jobs successfully. This is a truly great group of people. I highly recommend them as an organization to work for, partner with, utilize, etc.

  23. Bright Health has been a truly collaborative partner of ours. Their corporate team is open minded, innovative, and thinks in the lens of best serving their customers and agents. We would highly recommend working with them.

  24. My husband is self-employed and we changed insurance plans from United Health Care to Bright Health because we couldn’t afford the new premiums. Bright Health was the ONLY option we had to keep our doctor. Its only been 3 months, but …

  25. They contract mostly 1 star clinics. Could never find half decent doctor and the few with decent reviews can not accept new patients or 3 month for your scheduled appointment. We experienced absolutely terrible patient care with any contracted clinic. Poor value

  26. WARNING! WARNING! Bright Health is a total scam. Run away as fast as you can. Don’t believe me? Go ahead and try this test: Call any health care provider anywhere and ask if they accept Bright Health. I live in a fairly big city …

  27. Have been working as a business partner with Bright Health’s marketing team since the turn of the year (2021). They are a smart, responsive and trustworthy group of folks to work with. They have a “tiger by the tail” and are doing great things in the health care category. Looking forward to a continued relationship with them.

  28. BEWARE: Bright Health makes their members PAY 100% of OUT-OF-NETWORK providers. Also, Out-of-Network services ARE NOT a part of OUT OF POCKET MAXIMUM. I did not know this and so I am now faced with $6,000 of medical bills AFTER I have paid my $5,000 deductible. My calls to Bright Health have not resulted in a BRIGHT DAY!

  29. The worst experience with this health care insurance we enrolled knowing how much we could afford but once we receive the membership cards everything was completely different. The fine print tells something else, customer service bad …

  30. Worst website ever. A teen in their basement playing video games must be the It person. Error messages, multiple login requests, content displayed over words, boxes unaligned. Hot mess. Has an emailed login code every time for each screen. …

  31. DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE! sure it’s cheaper than the rest but when you but you get what you pay for. Needed them on the weekend and you cannot talk to anyone. Had to pay out of pocket because of this. Stay away!

  32. In October I received an official notice that stated my health plan would automatically rollover into the new year if I took no action. On 12/31 they sent me a message that my coverage was terminated effective immediately. Then I called the …

  33. If I could leave negative stars I would! Moved to new State bought brighthealth care insurance – they denied claims saying I had no insurance.- yes I do have paid statement. They have been working to fix this issue for 6 months. Got one …

  34. Bright Health was the best insurance experience I’ve ever had. Their website actually made sense and was easy to navigate. The one downside is that they are smaller and don’t work with as many providers yet, but all my main services were …

  35. Bright healthcare insurance refused to cover meds I’d been on for years after my heart attack, even with my doctor explaining the dangers (possible death) of me switching to a new medication.. worst insurance and customer care I’ve ever had, what a joke! Run away as fast as you can..

  36. Worst customer service I have ever met. They don’t know anything and just they say we will bring it up with our supervisor, and never here back from them. They always overcharge you and no body is there to answer your question. …
