The hospital is severely understaffed. The CD unit rarely has a nurse on shift. The techs though are very caring and do try hard despite the circumstances. The kitchen staff are friendly and the food is not bad. The detox unit is small so …
CenterPointe was awesome
Overcrowded. Understaffed.
Horrible, rude and unprofessional…
A poorly run facility with poor management.
Bad
Had a really great experience
Great experience with an amazing staff!
It was my REGRET
Great place to get the help you need
Horrible service. Doctors dondont show up when they are supposed to .
Good support for those in need.
stay clear if you want to get well!!
Warm ,comfortable, friendly and inviting atmosphere
Best vist ever for my brother
Don’t waste your time trying to put a loved one into this facility… mine came out worse than before.
Wonderful staff, that teaches you the tools you need for your recovery in the outside world.
Awesome place if you want the help
Hmm….been here 2 hours now. Only spoke to someone for ten minutes only to continue staring at the same 4 walls immediately after.
Terrible place. Bad things happen there.
I went there but I ain’t going back it was my worst nightmare
The Therapists and staff saved my life. I participated in the plan as prescribed. It works if you want it to. But you have to want it.
This place made me wanna gouge my eyes out with pliers:) they didn’t give Sadie chapstick
🤧 …
Although the hospitals methods of treatment may not be as primitive as places such as Bedlam were, a numerous amount of questionable things did occur at CenterPointe. The most prolific of these atrocities I witnessed upon my brief yet …
The staff at Center Pointe really care about their patient’s. I would definitely recommend them for your care.
My son was at this hospital for two weeks and was worse when he left than when he went in.
The only place in MO to help my boyfriend…. and saved him from prison. Thank You
great staff good food over all great experience
DO NOT BRING YOUR TEENAGER THERE!! I WENT WHEN I WAS 13/14 AND ITS NOT A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BE TRYING TO RECOVER FROM WHATEVER THEYRE RECOVERING FROM
This hospital treated a family member and helped him it was a night and day difference. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing a little extra help.
Saved my life, I don’t think my recovery would have happened if I went anywhere else
CenterPointe is helping my partner get back on their feet after some rough patches. This has been an invaluable resource toward recovery and getting meds all figured out. Patrick, our social worker, has been absolutely wonderful working through complicated issues with work too.
If I could give it 0 stars, I would. First, my daughter was in their outpatient program for self-injury. What a waste of time. Then, last week, she was having a really hard time and I brought her to the hospital. First, they took us …
DO NOT under ANY circumstances send your loved one to loved one to Center Pointe. They are merely churning people through with no regard for their safety or underlying issues. They are not experts in the field of addiction or psychiatry …
I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with Centerpointe outpatient and Psych Care Consultants–and I’m told they’re affiliated with one another. Lousy management and staff in general. Yesterday, Centerpointe sent police to my home to tell …
Parents, please do not take your children here.
Dr Greg Mattingly and the entire staff at CenterPointe hospital are very professional and extremely nice. I’m very blessed to have Dr.Mattingly and CenterPointe Hospital so close to home.
They stuck didn’t put my paper work in got me fired
I was recently admitted to Center Pointe Hospital for Alcohol and Opids Dependence. My life had spiraled out of control where I hit bottom. On a Wednesday I had a sever a panic attack. I had gone to Harris House and the evaluation showed …
The staff at Centerpointe is excellent. They truly care about the patients and cater to each individual needs at a time when they need it most.
it’s helpful for me to have this additonal time of thereapy while i’m unmedicated due to pregnancy and honestly this program is probly the best option for me at this time. but the topics are repetitive, and boring/tedious
They treated my son like an experiment. Every month it was a new drug added, when I asked for a simple antidepressant for him, they would put him on mood stabilizers, antipsychotics or every other drug besides what I asked. We switched to Crider, they put him on a antidepressant and boom 110% better!!!
I took my 12 year old son there. The staff were obscenely rude for no reason. They would not release my son, saying that DFS was wanting him kept there for days now. DFS says they have absolutely nothing and/or no reason to keep him …
Nurses and technicians very good – administration scam
Between Mr. Charles and the staff they’re truly awesome people, as a patient I was sure what to expect, but other than a couple nurses they are amazing and the food isn’t bad too!!
Took more than 4 hours in waiting room maybe 5 and charged a lot after. Also desk attendant was quite rude. Do not recommended.
I wouldn’t hesitate to send my own adult family member here. I found the food much better than other hospitals, but you’ll pack on the pounds if you don’t eat a lot of salad! The nurses are all super busy, so I found the best way to get my …
I was a patient here when I was 14, 3 years ago. I was admitted at 2 in the morning, & they forced me to do assements on my mental health then rather than in the morning. I was a teenager, meaning I should be in the adolescent area. There …
Horrible place!!!! Stay away and please for Godsakes do not let them perform ECT on you. You need to be in a real, certified hospital for this. My last visit all I heard were code blues from this unit. The nurses have been replaced by 10th …
Im. Not Doug pickle using his google.telling everyone that has had the unthinkable happen and are even questioning yourself but down deep even though they used your illness to make u guestion things that at the time u mabe wondered how …
My girlfriend went here and has gotten nothing but worse. The place is awful and makes people more insane, and they take away anything that may keep them from going crazier than they already are. May help those seriously in need of …
I was i here for self harming. And it was okay I guess. People were nice but ive heard the rules and everything hasve changed now.
Center pointe is my favorite psych ward that I have ever been to. The food is great the staff is carrying. They hardly ever judge you and if they do they have the decency to talk about you behind your back and they never had to strap me …
My daughter (age 15) has been in this facility for 4 days now and I’ve been very impressed with the communication thus far. I get a phone call every day with updates, and they listen to and address my concerns. My daughter says Centerpointe …
Center Point saved my life. I can’t say enough about the nurses, techs, and staff. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, drugs and/or alcohol, please consider Center Point. And a shout out to “Coach”! An amazing person and tech.
the staff is amazing!!!! sarah the social worker deserves a raise and so does every staff that works on the acute unit! they are all so helpful and caring even when crazy people are being crazy
So compassionate. I called ahead of time & they got me right in & really listened to me. I feel so much better knowing they’re going to get me the help I need.
This place is horrible the nurses are rude and there is no communication between doctors nurses techs and social workers I was in here for severe anxiety and depression and they made it worse keeping me locked up when all I needed was meds …
I don’t know what has changed but it’s definitely a change for the better. My son was at this hospital 7 years ago and I swore I would never take him back, but there was a crisis last week and they were the closest. …
Do NOT be deterred by the cold, rude and aloof staff at the front desk/admissions. Once you get passed their awful demeaner, the center is truly the best of its kind.
Very nice facility
Everyone was very nice and caring l would recommend my fam and friends or anyone for that matter. Loved it!!!!!
I do not recommend this place. It took four hours to get my partner checked in. That is way to long for someone needing help. Also they knew the date when he was going to be released but couldn’t give him a time. The morning he was to be …
My daughter was in there an was not empresses with it for her really all they did was detox an never got down to the problem . an the staff had know compassion for her family members as a mother careing mother calling an asking about my daughter the nurses told her I was over bearing. Wow !!!
Great place my husband was there 7 days got on new meds and after a long 6 months i got my husband back..thank you so much they saved my marrige and my husband
My father went they never explained why he couldn’t be outpatient,he has his phone and can’t use it,and not allowed any visters even though he has a daughter who is busy during phone time.He did have a room until 10 at night. How do you …
I’ve been here 3 times. It’s nothing but a waste of time. I DID NOT GET BETTER I only got worse. The 3 times I was there I was there almost a month. 3 and a 1/2 weeks. Keep your child away from this hospital. The staff didn’t care about the needs of us at all.
Being able to talk out your issues, and hearing other people’s problems is what group therapy is all about. If this is not your thing, don’t come here! It helped me get over my dad’s murder! Therapy is what you put into it, and what you get out of it.
A poorly run facility with poor management. Today, I filed a formal complaint against Dr. Arain/Psych Care Consultants/Centerpointe with the Dept of Health and Senior Services as well as an organization and also filed a grievance with my insurance carrier
Absolutely horrible. They basically refuse any kid that is a ward of the state, they will come up with all kinds of reasons why they don’t meet the criteria and the kid is left to just taking drugs. I hate this place.
You guys have ruined my life. I came here when I was only in 5th grade due to being suicidal. I wish on my soul it wasn’t to late to press charges for what this facility has done to me. Do not ever take your loved ones here i can’t even go anywhere near the town this hospital is at or I start to break down crying
I really enjoyed my time here. Every staff member genuinely cared about mine and every other patient’s recovery. I highly recommend Centerpointe Hospital to anybody seeking help with addiction.
centerpoint really helped me alot during my first part of my recovery! the staff is very nice and helping and have backrounds of addiction themself. i would definatly recomend this program! thanks centerpoint for changing my life(:
This place is a joke! They don’t care about you all they care about is money. Nice as can be till you get locked in then they don’t care at all. The doctor I seen was a joke, the only person I seen that seemed to care or want to help in the least bit was the social worker.
I love the way I was treated here. If I ever needed help again I would come back here. I would recommend any family or friends that needed help to come here. I love the way they do meals here. I appreciate how the staff checks on us at night. They even helped me get transportation home when I needed it.
The staff are excellent. They saved my life, especially Matt Lindquist and Dr Azfar Malik
Horrible this place is not a detox center!! Which I was led to believe upon my assessment and intake. They do not give u any meds to come off dope. The staff was rude and condescending. Do not go there! I voluntarily put myself in there and they tried to make me stay against my will.
My psychiatrist has canceled every single appointment that I was supposed to have with him for over a year. I really need to see someone and because of their policy I cannot see anyone else in that building but the one that keeps canceling on me. This is ridiculous. Very unhappy, very unsatisfied.
The only thing that I did not receive world class service on was, meeting with a medical doctor when I checked in to Detox. I had some swelling in my mouth. It eventually went away, but it would have been nice to get some antibiotics.
This place was a life saver for me. My therapist David was amazing and helped me understand things! I have been back and will be returning if needed! This is the ONLY place that has ever helped me! I highly recommend it to everyone! For behavior health, co-occuring disorders, and drug treatment! I have used it for all…
I had to stay for a month and I must say I am grateful for every single person I came in contact with. The staff is hard working and they do their best to work together to help you out. Sometimes it can get kind of busy and hectic with new …
My wife checked in voluntarily after they promised that she could leave at any time and now centerpoint is refusing to let her go even though I have called and pleaded with several of the staff to let her go. She is not at risk of harming herself or others. Lawsuit is being filed!!!!
All the negative people are crazy, do not listen to them. They might’ve called on a Saturday or Sunday when they aren’t open for prescriptions. I got a call back from an insidepatient worker that was super nice and helpful. It was my …
This is one of the most helpful places I’ve been to! The Staff really care about the all the patients, and are above reproach. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a place for treatment. They helped me with my mental health and substance abuse problems! I love centerpointe!!!
This place and the staff are completely dedicated to what they do. I just left chemical dependency residence and I cannot say enough about it. They help you every step of the way and provide so many tools and information about your disease. If I ever need help again or have a loved one that needs help, THIS IS THE PLACE!
Dirty, food taste like waste. Management elderly and confused. Poorly ran. Groups are a joke. All they want to do is make money. Half of the other people who were in with me were in multiple times. They woke me up on the first night of my stay to ask me for my copay. Rooms are horrible, have to share a bathroom with 4 other people.
This place ruined the course of my life in 2006. They put me on enough meds to kill a horse and gave me a misdiagnosis of Bipolar after seeing me for 5 minutes. I cannot get it removed from my medical record or get life insurance because of …
Worst and longest wait I’ve ever experienced. The nurse was extremely rude and unprofessional. No body checks in and the front desk attendant is no where to be found. If you enjoy waiting hours to be seen/updated this is the place for you. I on the other hand will not be back.
I went to check in today and they said it would take 6 hours before get me checked in. I had an appointment even. They wouldn’t let me go outside to smoke and then tried to tell me I couldn’t leave. I was about to call the police and they finally let me leave. Never going back there.
Do not send your loved ones here. The staff will laugh at patients when they open up to them. They will talk about the patients in an inappropriate way openly. Oh and no matter what you say they most likely will put you on medication for bipolar disorder even if you dont have a previous history with bipolar nor the symptoms.
Center Point Hospital is an exellent place to get treatment. They treated me well and made sure all my meds were right and working for me and all my needs. i learned so much about my addition and what i need to do to succeed in everyday life so I dont relapse. I would recommend Center Point to anyone who has an substance abuse issue.
CPH is an excellent facility. The doctors are very well trained and the treatment center for chemical dependency is amazing. The staff cares about how you are doing and the groups keep you busy and that helps you prepare for a fruitful and …
September 2016 my brother was in Centerpointe in St. Charles for alcohol detox. Day three he started going into DTs and hallucinating and the staff did not recognize this. They transferred him to the psych ward. Because of his delusions …
Horrible place my son went here he’s been worse off ever since, they treated him horrible and never apologized

Terrible hospital! Our mother is still there due to addiction. She is in the Silver Lining program. She is addicted to Ambien and they turn around and give her Remeron and Seroquel. We are headed to a new addiction. There is no counseling …
All I have to say is don’t let them diagnose you as bipolar like they do to everyone. The drugs will mess you up worse than when you went in. “Lithium for everyone.” The place seems so proud on their success rate, yet over %75 of the people …
Stayed in the adolescent unit for 9 days staff would openly talk about patients problems to each other. Made disgusted faces and rude comments about self harm. Food had no taste. Bread was as hard as a rock and made clinking noises against …
He lied to the judge trying to entrap me for an additional 21 days and the staff lied and told me that if I signed the voluntary contract that I would be able to release myself. As I glanced at the contract that stated physician ownership …
Do not recommend… 90% of staff are lazy food service is horrible didn’t really get treatment and the staff tia is very rude and insecure …. take this as a sign not to go here!!
Centerpoint hospital specifically excludes children in the foster system on their insurance acceptance. It seems like everyone other insurance is accepted for children seeking therapeutic programs, except for the insurance that covers kids …
First they wanted to report an incident that took place over 13 years ago that had already been taken care of and I had threaten legal action. Then they were going to put my child on serious meds without doing an initial blood draw until I …
I wish I could leave negative stars…NEVER EVER take your loved ones to this establishment. Once you check into this place, you forfeit all of your human rights and staff declares full Marshall Law and police are not allowed to enter. The …

I would give a higher score because a lot of the staff is great. But Kelly in the detox unit was a nightmare. No one going through detox trying their best should be told they will never make it. She invaded my personal space constantly …
Overall, the experience was good. However, I couldn’t give 5 stars for a few reasons. First off, I had an issue w/ a senior treatment staff member. I was advised to write a letter and turn it over to management. After spending a fair amount …
I would be cautious about sending your loved ones here. Mine went in trying to receive help only to be left with just the opposite. This place only cares about money. A doctor here forced a medication onto her to help her not crave alcohol, …
With new management and owners, this place is incredible. They really care for each individual and want to help as much as they can.
My brother-in law was there for 4 weeks! It’s a terrible place! I would never send anyone I know there ever again! When we admitted him we were told that we would get weekly updates. We never did and I would call several times a week …
Was there for 10 days. Put on meds “for my mood.” Was never told anything about discharging, so I had no Idea how to leave the hospital. They keep people there against their will and I had several doctors at once. Social worker was very …

I stayed at Centerpointe Hospital from March 29 until April 19 in the residential unit and it was the best experience of my life. Everything from the staff to the accommodations were wonderful. Centerpointe truly saved my life, I was down a …
Dropped my wife off to this place because she was in distress and I have so many regrets. Do not check yourself or your loved ones in here. A social worker left me a message the second day, he called during a different time than expected so …
It could have been worse but many things need to be improved. I’m going to share my experiences/observations and try to keep it somewhat short.
1) The front desk staff are cold and uncaring. …
CenterPointe is a great place to come should you need to seek help for mental illness or addiction. My only complaint would be that they keep the units way too cold (I was literally frozen-even with 5 blankets on my bed) the blankets they …
If i could give zero stars i would. notice how the owners only take the time to respond to positive feedback. taking away every human right is not the path to recovery for addiction or depression. everyone i know who has gone to center …
CenterPointe Hospital has truly changed my life. The nurses, techs and therapists are very dedicated and passionate about helping people recover. No treatment facility that I have been to ever taught me the knowledge and skills that I have …
Once you get there they take you back to a room and lock you in there and take all your belongings. Anything that you bring you need to give to someone who brings you in because this hospital takes anything without your permission and …
Demarco, Jervon.S Von.Don and Jasmine in the accute unit were very good techs. They were very helpful and gave me good advice. I couldn’t think of anyone better than them to work there and help their patients. This review is from Anthony …
Wretched facility. I was admitted in the adolescent unit in 2018 as well as the adult unit in 2019. Both times were against my will and upon being released I was even more suicidally depressed. During my 2019 stay I was threatened if I …
The food is about average for the most part but great recovery hospital for mental health conditions and drug and alcohol treatment. They have been helpful to me for many years now and sadly now in this visit the charge nurse Julie was rude …
Once again I am shamed that Google doesn’t have a 0 star option. Don’t go here if you require real assistance. You will wait months to get in just to be given a rough idea of what meds they should throw your way and then its out of their …
Best place all around couldn’t agree more if you need help go here I hope this place shuts down long time fellow deeds come on everybody give it up for centerpoint high oh I mean hospital lol this place is a dump and I hope this place shuts down like Malcom bliss did, turn it into a 3 star 5 storie hotel
I’m only giving one star because only two people went above and beyond. The rest were kind at times but also showed irritation at simple requests. They asked me to call home to have a family member google things when they could have easily …
Meh, its an inpatient hospital. Its not fun. Was on the adolescent ward a couple years ago. Previously, I was at SSM St Joseph in Wentzville which abused me and the other patients. Here, I was treated with respect the whole time and wasn’t …
Have had inpatient and outpatient services. Everyone there has been awesome. Even cafeteria workers were nice while I was an inpatient. I have used their outpatient services for quite a while. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The most …
Definitely the most unorganized and unprofessional treatment facility I’ve ever been too. It’s near impossible to contact Doctors to get prescriptions refilled. The living conditions are extremely dirty and not maintained at all. They push …
My grand daughter went for depression, mixed her up with 2 different patients, took her clothes ,staff took her book to admission hall some one else read, took her blanket from 3rd floor adolescents and some one else was using it, ..she …
Do not waste your time or money here. They do not care about anyone. I was only able to see a psychiatrist once in an 8 day stay. They only care about getting your insurance money, not about the people who come here to get treatment for …
Sometimes you make the best of a bad situation and it just isn’t enough. My entire stay was simply horrible levels of dead-naming, misgendering, and constantly advocating for myself and the other trans people there. I had a room for the …
They advertise they treat adolescent. Went with my son. 3 different people confirmed his birthday. Waited 3 hours for counselor to come in only to tell us he is too young to be treated.
Had a phone interview scheduled for today. Never received a call so I called to verify the appointment and apparently HR was unsure who was doing interviews today. As a RN this let’s me know that they are unorganized and I could have been to another interview at the assigned time. No thanks!
My brother was admitted and when I called to check on his condition my phone calls were not returned. This went on for several days, I was told because of his condition he would be in treatment for 6 weeks. He was released after 8 …

Wish I would have read reviews pre-treatment. My son was treated there and it was the worst communication ever. Now, we are trying to complete some FMLA paperwork, TWO PAGES only so he doesn’t lose his job and they —anyone— is …
The psychiatrists don’t listen to you and their outpatient program sucks. They don’t even show up to the appointments that they set up with you.
Friendly and thoughtful staff, excellent treatment. Daily follow up’s with the chief psychiatrists Dr. Malik to oversee your progress.
Daily meetings with consolers’ and recreation activities.
I came for detox and was giving nothing to make it even a tad easier so when I tried to leave…the Dr. Fazel refused. Then you walk around all day until there’s holes in your socks. They rarely gave my insulin on. Time. DO NOT GO HERE .
They only offer inpatient or group therapy. Not everyone wants to hear about other people’s problems, some people have what they call ANXIETY, surely you’ve heard of it. But thanks for Not helping those that need individual therapy
They herd you like cattle, and don’t treat you like a human being. Jennifer was awesome as I was leaving. That’s the only nice thing I can say about this place.
Centerpoint Dropped the ball every step of the way!!! Zero communication that was true about how long the stay would be or that they would help facilitate next steps for my family member. What they did do was continuously have my family member and us in a state of crisis. That is not a responsible way to help people heal!
not only the Worst experience but most disturbing experience in my life. The entire facility is filled with ants. Ants in the rooms, cafeteria, on the tables and even in the beds. You would think the goal was to treat people to make them …
This place is terrifying. Scary people work here. They fried my brain/short-term memory with ECT treatments which they are so cavalier with. They may very well have ruined my life. But hey, if you like nurses that will keep you waiting …
As much as I do support and encourage people to seek help for dealing with any and all type of issues they may be going through I could NEVER recommend CenterPointe to supply that treatment. My now ex-wife went here last year and did their …
Worst hospital in the entire world. Parents, don’t take your kids here if they need help. Adults, don’t go here if you need help. Horrible doctors horrible nurses. They keep your loved ones in what they call a safe space but in reality they …

Is the hospital perfect? No but they got me back on my feet and pointed in the right direction. You can find affordable (compared to others) help here if you want it. My life has done a complete 180 since being admitted here. The staff is …
This place is a joke. I’ve been hung up on twice, it took them 3 days to get my husband clothing. He had been in paper scrubs freezing. I was told they had sweatshirts, but he asked for one and they were out. Yet magically an hour after I …
As much as I recommend my friends to seek help, I will never recommend this location. My social worker saw me twice— the day I arrived and on the day of my discharge. She was extremely hands-off, and even apologized to me saying, “I’m sorry …
