Without internet 6 months and phone for 6 weeks. Have called at least 20 times and all I get is excuses. The only service in the area and they company knows it so they don’t care. I’ve have this service for 9 years and it just keeps getting worse.
Absolutely garbage. You pay $90 a month for slow internet and a phone I don’t even use. It’s an absurd amount of money to pay for slow internet. Google fiber is 1000/1000 and you pay $70. Cherokee is 8/1 and you pay $90. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
Well we had them come and install a internet cable and phone bundle in our home and these bafoons have 30 feet of cables layin in the floor and the service just doesn’t work. Everytime we call them and ask them to put the router in a different room and get it off the ground so it’s not sitting in the floor they don’t show up
The internet service is a joke. They cannot/will not fix issues we have had with them for years. Internet consistently drops and reconnects, making it hard to complete anything online. They have a monopoly on the service in this area and can charge whatever they want and not provide the service because there is no competition.
It has been months of calling every month to report that the internet is so slow you can not even get an episode of anything watched without loading 20 times. We even upgraded. I can turn off all devices in house but one and STILL is slow…
EDIT: Finally, after 1 year of calling for service calls, one year of slow internet, one year of Cherokee blaming my phone for my slow internet…ONE YEAR OF ME ASKING FOR A NEW MODEM…finally I got a new modem and finally I have internet …
This is the worst company I’ve ever worked with. The internet is slow and they adamantly say it’s because I have a printer. Breaking my contract this month to go with literally anyone else.
Their service works well it’s really high compared to anywhere else but it’s all that’s available also they got a grant for 2 million to provide fiber service over two years ago and have not completed it yet

I’ve had Cherokee service for over 5 years and it always works! I’ve only been down 1 time in 5 years, and it was fixed within 48 hours. Really impressed with the level of service!
We have utilized Cherokee for our smart home for over two years. We had our reservations that the service offered would meet our high demand. Overall we are happy with our internet service and the technicians that installed were great. We are satisfied customers.

This place is a dumpster fire. If you have the option to use a different internet provider, even if it’s more expensive, use it.
