This is one of the best places I have ever had service very helpful very friendly up to date and have gone out of their way to help me and never charged a penny extra!
Terrible service. Power goes out every single year on July 4th weekend. Need to update their equipment.
Power goes off or has a ‘power surge’ EVERY SINGLE DAY. Ruins programmed recordings or programmed anything in general. Never dependable at all.
I had issues with the employees inside the office at first, but the guys that work on the lines are great, and extremely friendly.
I’m sorry that 5 stars is all that’s available to rate Cherokee Electric. In my opinion they rate much higher than that. Thanks for all you do .

This place is terrible, they understand they have a monopoly over this county and you have no choice but to use them. They are inconsiderate and disrespectful. Too many power outages and everyone I ever talk to is just plain rude. I want to move from this whole county bc of this company. It’s sad.

I don’t think they understand the concept of a cooperative. I was with another EMC in Georgia and that experience set my standards too high. Rates are higher than average, no transparency and billing practices are questionable. I see myself investing in solar power in the future.
Paid 3 weeks ago and still no power to our new home. We were told when we paid that it would be done by the end of the week. We wouldn’t have moved in if we knew it was going to take this long.

We had power at Curleys Cove Campground. Power went out regularly and we assume it is Cherokee Electric not able to keep the power on and poor infrastructure.
