  7. The observation deck is second to none in the city. Buffalo looks like a European city from this vantage point, with grand boulevards radiating out from Niagara Square.

  8. Buffalo City Hall is the seat for municipal government in the City of Buffalo, New York. Located at 65 Niagara Square, the 32-story Art Deco building was completed in 1931 by Dietel, Wade & Jones.

  9. There are more potholes in the city than there are residents you cannot go 10ft without falling in a pothole 6 to 15 in and a foot 2 3 foot by diameter. There garbage pickup is horrible they leave trash all over the place cleaning of the side streets horrible

  10. Old building with observation tower open to public for free. The tower has 360 view. You should visit the city hall and the observation tower if visiting Buffalo.

  13. Went here on an amazing, sunny, Friday afternoon and went up to the observation deck. What a great 360 degree view of the city, the Lake, the river – you can even see the mist from…The Falls!

  14. Was there because of parking tickets, the judge for the parking ticket was a white lady with blond hair, she was so unfair and cruel. She made me pay a total of $550. I think it was cause i was black. The system is a money pit, we just want …

  15. Beautiful piece of American architecture yet city needs to move on from that Art Deco era and operate outside of the backwards mentality. Would make a wonderful museum on American Culture though.

  16. 1930’s Art Deco building with Native American architectural highlights. During business hours on weekdays take the elevators and, eventually, stairs to the observation deck. The best view of Buffalo is had here.

  17. Incredible piece of architecture & a place with incredible presence. A huge Art Deco masterpiece, like a gigantic throne for the Genius of our City. It combines Classical, Germanic, & Native elements to visually represent the elements of …

  18. I had to go here to pay off a ticket that I got when I was hit by a car while riding a bicycle. Everyone was very nice and accommodating and made the experience a pleasant one despite the fact I was paying off a ridiculous ticket.

  19. The most beautiful City Hall I ever see! It’s a amazing building, decorated with a Indian elements, making a unique building. From the observatory hall is possible see all the city.

  21. I needed my birth certificate. There were complications. But they did not act like bureaucrats — they treated us as human beings and compassionate in the birth certificate office and got the job done. It was a pleasant surprise. Good …

  22. While covid is going on you must call and request an appointment from your desired selection.. here is a picture with numbers. However they do not return phone calls in timely manner or emails. I didn’t get a return email for almost 3 weeks. But my appointment was made within 3days.

  23. People from all over the world come to see this architectural masterpiece. My favorite highlights include the beautiful Council Chamber, the observation deck & the 1st floor entrance and Hallways! Worthwhile to schedule a tour!

  26. Saturday morning well spent. This is my second time in Buffalo city but visited city hall for first time. Given the Covid Conditions I could not go inside but from outside it is visually beautiful and well maintained. A must visit place in case are visiting Niagara Falls.

  27. It was a terrible experience Because Nothing opened at the same time And instead of Having taxpaying Citizens Way in a warm Lobby they had you wait outside like a derelict. In addition dont even think of disputing to them because it’ll …

  28. No parking anywhere (I’m handicapd) I counted 7 cars with no tag parked in handicapped spots. I complained when I got in building. Guard looked at me like I was a alien? Building is nice. I wa there to add a gun to my pistol permit. No wonder no one goes to city no parking.

  29. A majestic landmark erected in 1930. The architecture is exquisite, breathtaking and timeless. A must see in the City of Buffalo, Nee York. You can also go to the top and get a great view of our beautiful city – make sure to check online …

  30. Looks very nice from the outside. Saw a couple getting married infront of it. Brave couple, seeing as this is the sketchiest area I’ve ever driven through. Didn’t see a lot of homeless, but felt the need to lock my doors at traffic lights

  31. Truly spectacular Art Deco masterpiece highlighting the unique qualities of the City of Buffalo from the friezes on the exterior to the paintings in the lobby – fantastical! Don’t miss the stained glass ceiling in the Common Council Chamber …

  32. Hello Buffalo its me Jeffrey Mendez I have a bone to pick with the city. Now the issue for the last 2 1/2 months I’ve looked for an apartment because my rent went from 550 to 1100. Now that’s not the problem I got the message, look at what …

  33. It’s nice to walk up to a counter and find yourself speaking with a customer service representative that had just been verbally abused but when it’s your turn they do not carry over thier feelings of the the previous customer, and instead …

  34. There is a lot of hoops to jump to get in the building bit that’s the times we live in I guess. But once I got in the building I was to quickly move through to get my business done. The one issue I had was the lack of seating while …

  35. It was so nice. I went to the parking ticket department at 2:45 on a Friday and there was absolutely no one in line! I did not get my problem resolved, but I’m awaiting decisioning in the mail. Got a ticket issued at 5:30 near Roswell, at …

  36. If touring Buffalo, I recommend you stop here to check out the incredible view of the city from the observation deck. This is also a great stop if you have an interest in architecture.

  37. It’s a beautiful building, inside and out, with exquisite architecture and design details. The employees I encountered were all helpful and friendly. My only issue was the lighting. It is kept very dark in the lobby and hallways making it hard to read signs and see where you’re going.

  38. Birth certificate office. The worst place ever, worker are disrespectful and always angry answer. Every time i went the office was empty and they were just eating fly, they do no even know what is to work hard. They are never doing nothing and they never answer the phone either.

  39. A beautiful and grand city hall that harkens back to the day where Buffalo was a up and coming powerhouse and needed a municipal building to reflect that. This is Art Deco at its best. The building is quite ornate and has many intricate details to check out. The observation deck offers amazing views of the city and is free of charge.

  40. There are some beautiful buildings in Buffalo but the city hall building takes the cake. I don’t know of a city hall anywhere that looks as impressive as this one.

  41. Stay away from this town they have speed traps and speed cameras. It’s a dirty town. Stay away from this town unless you like giving your money away.
The restaurants in this town they are not worth going to

  42. This city of Buffalo City Hall, simply put is not only an ICON for the city but moreover a representation of the cities history. A history that most cities in the United States wish they had. This is a must visit and even better make your …

  43. One of the most beautiful city halls in the United States, a stunning example of Art Deco all throughout the building with a grandiose presence. The Observation deck has great views of the surrounding region and on some days you can see Toronto as well and certainly Niagara Falls. I highly recommend visiting for a tour.

  44. A very fascinating place to visit with an amazing view of the city. Take an elevator to the 25th floor and three flights of stairs up to the 28th where you can view the city.

  45. Nice building, nice environment.
Unfortunately, we didn’t know that almost everything was closed on Sunday, so we didn’t have much to do except walk around and sightsee.

  46. Eye catching building in downtown Buffalo, which looks even more impressive inside with its ornate design and architecture. We came here as visitors and wanted to check out the observation deck (free of charge) at the top floor. There is …

  47. The top of the City Hall gives you a wonderful view of Buffalo. The building itself is beautifully designed and built. Check it out if you have a chance

  48. The Variance Board is an Obsolete Archaic waist of time and space, this Rev Lewis has to be the most Rude, Disrespectful Hateful individual who exists outside his positional Ethical boundaries in the position he holds. …

  49. Buffalo doesn’t like citizens to take the metro system.. it wants them to climb over snow. Most cities shovel snow or provide heaters in cold weather, but not Buffalo.

  50. The building itself is a deco work of art, with an awesome observation platform at the top. The employees who I have interacted with are generally friendly and helpful. The only thing that I don’t like are the modern security checkpoints, as I miss being able to just walk in and enjoy the spacious entry foyer.

  51. Really friendly staff that made us feel welcome in City Hall and Buffalo in general. Views from 28 were spectacular and I look forward to when the tours resume. Lots of kids art on display to contrast the normal functions of a bustling city hall. Remember! They’re only open on weekdays.

  52. This building is must see architecture! Too bad that Covid-19 has it closed currently for tours, but even then, there are many Art Deco treasures to discover from the exterior only.

  53. Cool Art Deco piece to see if you’re an Art Deco fan. Inside has a lot of cool pieces of art to see. The observation deck is alright if you enjoy views of metropolitan cities. Truthfully unless you do the tour you could see and experience the building in under an hour. Still cool to see if you need something to do.

  54. Very easy to get into and going up to the observation deck was free and again easy, go to the elevator bank and just hit the button go up to 25 and then the stairs up and boom you are there!! Beautiful view and well worth a stop!!

  55. There’s something to be said about the laziness of neighbors who leave their Christmas decorations up all year. What’s to be said about a city hall that does the same?🙄 (photo included) …

  56. Real nice art-deco lobby! The observation deck is free and zero people were there when I went. (Unfortunately the balcony part of the observation deck was closed.) You’d think think place would be popular, but it seemed surprisingly off the beaten path.

  57. The building itself is beautiful, and the lobby is just as breathtaking. The art deco style is wonderful. The free observation deck on the 28th floor provides a 360 view of the surrounding area. You can see the high rises in Niagara Falls …
