When I arrived, I had to wait 15 minutes outside of a closed garage door before I could park and get to my room on the 11th floor. Secondly, after I parked I discovered there was no elevator to my room so we had to walk three floors up and …
The location was great as it was less than a block from where i had to attend meetings. The room was very nice, large, and comfortable. The included breakfast was not as great. It’s set up in an inconvenient way for getting people thru …
Great location, affordable and clean rooms, and friendly service. The breakfast has limited options but it’s decent and complimentary so no complaints there. Free WiFi. The food at the bar was good but the portions were a bit small.
Wonderful hotel service, but way too expensive. 24/7 restaurant was great, although service very slow. Rooftop restaurant beautiful view! Rooms, bed, shower, totally incredible, great view as well. Staff and management wonderful.
There’s a Hyatt House close by, stay there if you have a choice. When we checked in exhausted at 10 pm, they said they overbooked our two queen, one sofa bed room. The receptionist lied when she said she was upgrading us to a bigger room. …
Beware if you book through a second party – the hotel double charges your credit card! I am wondering how many double charges they get away with. I booked and paid for our stay through american airlines vacations and hyatt has been extremely slow and unresponsive for almost a month now. More
OK so I’m a little biased towards Hyatt place anyways but this place was wonderful the Room was spacious of course very nice and clean the staff was amazing the breakfast was great in our dinnertime tapus dial meal was very tasty. It was …
We stayed for a long weekend to visit DC. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the National Mall. Although located by Highway 395 you don’t here the traffic. We had a restful sleep every night. The breakfast is a great value with a …
New building, my stay was nice despite overlooking the highway. 3rd floor bar/lobby is ok, but rooftop bar is nicer though small. Valet at front is helpful. Most places nearby close early in the afternoon. This is several blocks south of the National Mall (large open field in front of Capitol)
The staff is extremely helpful and hard-working. Love the automated “Avvi” system for requesting needed items from housekeeping. They magically appear! Me and my two grandchildren felt very safe here and we were only blocks away from the L’Efant Metro Station.
Had a great stay at the Hyatt. Enjoyed the room and especially the free breakfast in the morning. The one downside I found was that there is a fire station built into the hotel, which is why the lobby is on the 3rd floor. This is only a …
Comfy beds, great room service. Roof top bar was quiet and comfortable. Main restaurant staff was in a state of confusion, both times I visited. Mgr approached 10 minutes after waiting, 4 other wait staff just wandering around. 2nd visit, …
The room was a nice size and was clean (though did not have a view). Check in is different with the lobby on the third floor. The staff seemed unprofessional and not very well trained; when we checked in the attendant seemed to be …
Excellent service from all staff here. The manager explained things to us personally when we checked in. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. But go to breakfast early because it very busy after 8:30am.
Just okay. Room wasn’t ready upon arrival at 3:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. Breakfast was so-so. Room was cramped. Sliding bathroom door didn’t lock. Valet parking is convenient and safe but typically expensive. However, the room and bathroom were clean. Willis was very friendly and informative!
Nice rooms, free Wi-Fi, and new and modern. Free full breakfast. The CityBar Rooftop Bar & Lounge has a great view of the city. However, the wait staff was not attentive. And pricing for the same item at the same time was billed at …
We chose this hotel based on a couple of things. First was location. It’s close to the National Mall, as well as transportation (Federal Center SW Metro). Second was the free breakfast buffet. This saved us a couple hundred dollars that we …
Mona checked us in and eagerly helped us when our room wasn’t quite ready (we arrived early but didn’t indicate early check-in). Willis was also charming and helpful the first evening, as well. …
Hotel was nice and the breakfast was the free high carb buffet special. The lobby is on the third floor which makes for a confusing check-in especially if the valet guys are busy. Hotel parking is valet only and expensive. We were upgraded to a suite when they mixed up our reservation.
Nice place clean very clean breakfast is included and it’s near to everything we walk from our hotel to capitol to White House to Lincoln. It’s like 2 and half hours walk Hotel is near to everything.
Great atmosphere and aesthetic. The room was lovely. Weird about this hotel though, you have to go up to get to the lobby, so the first floor looks like a small unassuming office type building and someone will direct you upstairs.
Everything has been perfect! Check in was a breeze and rooms are very nice. The floor to ceiling windows are really nice. I have had dinner here and the continental breakfast. Both were delicious!
I thought the rooms were decent. They seemed pretty bad at restocking like when we used up all our soap they didnt stock it and we had to ask for it. The breakfast was fine but the selection and the people clearing plates are kinds of …
Utter disappointment at this hotel is the nicest way I can possibly describe my experience with the receptionist at this hotel- for different reasons. I stayed over 100 different hotels (and more days of stay) in my life time so far in the …
I enjoyed this hotel for vacation to DC. It is within walking distance to the Mall and close to the Metro, plus taxis are everywhere. A breakfast bar (both hot and cold foods) is included. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, it made for a nice stay. Thanks to the Hyatt Place Washington DC staff!
Great location !!! Just step out and visit the historic places around. The breakfast was great for most people. As a vegetarian I found enough things to eat. They have a very nice gym to workout. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I’ll definitely come back if I could afford it.
The facility is modern and super clean, with rfid cards. The breakfast was good, but the lack of hot food options made them hard to get; the eggs on today were really popular. Everyone on the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, especially the concierge, who greeted us and helped us find dinner options in the area.
A very nice, modern hotel, right off of the national mall. Beautiful and affordable rooms with the best “breakfast included” I’ve ever had. Pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy, cereal, juice, milk.. As much as you wanted. Such a great value. Will DEFINITELY be back there again!
This hotel is rather inexpensive for the location. It’s within walking distance of national Mall and Smithsonian museums. Our room was clean but did not seem luxurious. They don’t tell you that the parking costs $42, and the restaurant in …
Nice, modern hotel with free hot breakfast (including corned beef hash!). Lobby is on the 3rd floor and parking is valet st $40/not however meter parking is available in front with 2 hr limit Mon-Sat at $2.50/hr rate. Wasn’t able to check …
We stayed here at this beautiful hotel for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. One waitress especially, Kim was excellent with our 18 month old daughter and went out of our way to help us get warm milk to get her settled in. We would definitely go back!
I stayed there May 31st -June 4th. The staff was incredible. I was very pleased with the breakfast and the selection. Checking in and out with ease. Housekeeping was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly. Lounge on the roof with a beautiful view. I’d definitely stay there again. Great location for site seeing.
Attended a brunch and the layout of the hotel made it easy to find where you needed to go. Food was fresh and displayed really well. Sound system was just right so all 300 of us could hear. Staff was friendly.
Great location and bar. Rooftop bar was quaint and if we were traveling with all adults, would have liked to have enjoyed it more. All in all room was great, noise level minimal and easy to see sights and get back for evenings.
I travel on business a lot and I was impressed with this hotel. Good location for federal work on the south side of the mall. Good price, friendly service, breakfast, clean modern quiet rooms- classy. Not much food nearby. The L’Enfant plaza food court works for lunch, but walk a mile north for the good dinner options.
The service was wonderful. My husband and I stayed here with my brother for four nights/five days on vacation. We had issues with the AC unit in our room and we’re upgraded. The only issue we experienced was actually with other guests being …
The Hyatt Place/National Mall may not be the most modern or fanciest place in DC, but by far the staff is the best in the city. My daughter lost her stuff animal, “Giraffe-E” during our stay in Washington DC and was extremely distraught. …
Smelled like trash on the ground floor , and the hallways had no AC, elevators took forever since only 2 were working and the customer service was okay. Asked for extra blankets one night never received them after having called twice.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean spacious room and bathroom. I will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to my friends.
Walking distance to the National Mall, the Smithsonian Museums, the Capitol Building, the Congressional office buildings and the Supreme Court.
So it’s hard to tell during Covid-19 how service would have been. I was close to all of the museum and walking distance from the capital building. The service was great during the day. Especially with the manager but so so at night. They …
Beautiful new hotel with modern touches that just opened a week ago. Friendly staff, although still training. Very nice lounge area with pc’s, tv, snacks ($4 cookies?!), breakfast bar and outdoor seating with heat lamps. Seasonal pool and …
While the rooms are adequate, what I fail to comprehend is why they force you into signing up for their (admittedly free) rewards program in order to receive free breakfast. In retrospect, the quality of the breakfast was not worth the …
What a fantastic hotel. Every single employee we came in contact with was superb. Everything was perfectly clean. The bed pillows, and bed itself, were great. Beautiful and modern. The free breakfast was like nothing I’ve seen before. The rooftop bar was great. I would surely recommended this hotel to anyone!
The room was haunted, whole place smelt like marijuana, breakfast was like a low income school breakfeast and very stale. Parking is very expensive , terrible neighborhood. Felt like a drug den, the carpets need to be changed and house keepers do not wear gloves to clean rooms! More
Nice place to stay in DC as the rooms were pretty affordable and relatively new. The metro station is about an 8 minute walk if dry. Breakfast was nothing special but included, so cannot complain. The area and surrounding neighborhood seemed safe even for late night walks. More
This hotel was great the front staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make our trip more memorable. The room was also a lot better than comparable hotels.
The rooms were nice. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Only complaint was that our bathroom door didn’t shut right, but that wasn’t much of a problem. The location was fantastic too, walking distance from museums.
Clean and spacious rooms. Bathrooms are well lit and spacious as well. Staff is courteous. Located near plenty of museums, the national mall, all the great tourist landmarks. Delicious food spots nearby as well. Internet speeds are abysmal though!
We only stayed one night. The room was clean and large. The front desk person was very helpful in providing the information about the area. Breakfast was included and had good selection. It was served from 6:30-9:30am. Valet parking only with additional charge.
Nice new hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is a disaster, though. Not enough tables, long lines, and waiting time.
Pool area is a bacteria bomb. No possibility or demands for washing before entering More
Best value for the National Mall area. We got a very nice suite for about 100 dollars cheaper than other comparable hotels in the area. Breakfast was very good and they had lots of options if you are on a diet. Staff was very friendly. …
Everybody was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing (great waffles). You had to pay for valet parking, $40 over night which would’ve been nice to know before. And the room was very expensive. Overall it was a nice stay but the price stings. Nice hotel though.
Great location, new hotel, rooms very large, clean, great amenities. Plenty of towels and washcloths; many hotels are stingy with theirs. Rooms are always clean; I’ve stayed here 20+ times. Hot breakfast is included. My only complaint is a …
Clean, modern hotel with great proximity to Capitol and congressional offices. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Problems include the check-in policy and room hvac units. I checked in online and received an email at 9:00 a.m. saying my room …
The hotel is certainly acceptable, but not excellent. Our first room was a suite at 1102 which means a corner room which seems like it would be great. The room layout, however, was awkward and the AC was BLASTING and loud in the bedroom. It …
A clean and new property that has all the typical benefits of a Hyatt Place. Rooms were comfy, building was immaculate, and staff was super-friendly. The breakfast area is larger than most Hyatt place properties which worked VERY well given …
Excellent service. Great rooms. Tasty free breakfast. Great location. The only shortcomings were elevator wait times at peak hours and the undisclosed 7.50 daily parking tax (in addition to the $40 daily parking rate). I expect hotel …
Fairly easy to get to from 395, friendly staff, easy check-in, our room (king suite) was very large and comfortable, also quiet, our room literally looked over 395 and we couldn’t hear the traffic at all. Easy walk to the new warf area. 24 …
Free breakfast was advertised, that didn’t happen. I asked if they had a simple vending machine and was told we could walk to the 7/11 …down the street and around the corner . Nevertheless, I was charged 3.58 for a 20oz soda at the “free …
My kiddos and I stayed here for a week. When we arrived, very early in the morning, we were greeted by a very nice girl by the name of Angel. Throughout our entire stay here, she and my boys continued to share a new friendship, which was …
My wife and I are retired and we travel a lot.We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and very courteous. Not like some of the other chain hotels. I was particularly impressed with breakfast and it’s …
Very accommodating hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The included breakfast was very good and the bar/snacks looked good. Nice overlook of the city either from your room or the dining area. Parking is $40/night at the attached garage.
The Sales Staff were very poor at answering emails and unprofessional. I had to call three times to request a credit card authorization, and in general everyone I dealt with were unprofessional. The room and breakfast was up to date and clean. But, I would not recommend the hotel based on the unreliability of the staff. More
Alright. I got this room as a steal price wise, so I don’t have too much to complain about. I stay at Hyatt locations a good bit. This is probably the worst room I’ve had through Hyatt. There were bugs in the main room lamp. Stains on every …
Very nice location. Just 7 min walk to National air and space museum. Taxi stand near by. It’s right across the street to NASA. Fire station downstairs. Our suite was very good and spacious. Only complaint is that there was one unwashed plate in the kitchen cabinet in our room. The breakfast buffet was very good.
Just got back from quick stay. I have to say one of the very best experiences staying here. Check in a breeze. Lance was very polite and accommodating, Megan great at holding our bags upon checkout. Rooms big and clean. Free breakfast …
Very clean hotel and excellent location. Walking distance to National Mall area and Metro. Great breakfast and lobby area. Staff is extremely nice. Breakfast is ok. Scrambled eggs are dried and overcooked. Sausages were good along with the fruit selection. I would definitely stay here again.
The hospitality and customer relations from the staff is outstanding. Our family has never been treated better. We travel as a family of 6, two adults and 4 toddlers and the room was perfect. I would highly recommend. A big thank you to the …
Its has been spectacular! From the moment we arrived at the front desk to going up to the suite to enjoying the complementary breakfast. The hotel is very clean, the beds are very comfortable and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I would stay again and again. It is one to remember!
Great hotel! My room was one of the best that I’ve stayed with in a little while. It had lots of space, a nice desk area, king size bed and a wonderful bathroom. I couldn’t ask for more.
We just got back and stayed at the Hyatt Place for 3 nights. We are a family of four and we enjoyed ourselves. We thought the hotel was nice, clean and in great location for sightseeing. We were three blocks from the National Mall and …
I recently stayed here and I had a great experience. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were amazing. I was there for a week and each day the staff provided service with a smile. During the week it seems …
It’s clean and modern. Good walking distance to the national mall and also to national stadium. Breakfast was ok. The rooftop bar was nice. Had to knock off a few stars because the a.c. unit in the bedroom was EXTREMELY loud. Like …
The front staff was helpful when we checked in but the staff was rude/short the next morning when we came down for breakfast. The room was clean and nice. Would’ve been 5 stars if not for the cranky morning staff.
My brother was visiting me over Thanksgiving from the west coast, and wanted to see DC. we decided on the Hyatt as a good compromise between location and price. The location was great, just a couple blocks from the mall. The room was clean …
The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was ideal for walking to the Capitol area. The breakfast was extensive and tasty. Our family would choose this hotel again without hesitation. It was excellent!
I’ll start with the good, and that is primarily based on the location of the hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay within walking distance of most of the major museums and attractions, this is a great option. What is also nice is …
The assistant that checked us in rolled out the red carpet for us. He not only was fast and efficient at getting us set with our room but went above and beyond that. The first way he helped us was by offering us a membership with Hyatt. At …
We spend 3 nights here just recently and found the hotel to be lovely. It is listed as a 3 Star hotel. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The rooms were adequate for what we needed. The location was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
Pluses, great location, clean, friendly staff.
Minuses – horrible breakfast (nothing hot, no protein for breakfast except cream cheese, which ran out and only butter was left), elevator smelled strange (but …
Good location with cleans rooms and decent sized bathrooms. The free breakfast was also a plus and featured much more than your typical continental breakfast. The front desk staff was also very polite and attentive. Overall a great place to stay!
Couldn’t be more pleased! We were with a group of 55 for the Pro-Life march last week, 20 of them being children. The staff was more than gracious, though our kids were very well behaved, they treated them with so much patience, it was …

Better than many hotels in the area, but some things are stellar, some lacking. No bathtub, only a few rooms have them. The room had an odd smell. Breakfast was good, not outstanding. Lobby small, can be crowded in the evenings. No seating …
We really enjoyed our stay at this Hyatt. The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They were also quick to bring us extra towels and things we needed since there was 4 in our room! This spot is within …
Very good location. Neat and renovates rooms. Good breakfast included. Rooms have shades but not curtains which is annoying if you want to sleep a little bit longer in the morning. The a/a unit in the roon is way too noisy. On the good side if you are a tourist you will wake up early and not miss anything.
Nice pĺace. We were on 12th floor (Outstanding view). Enjoyed all the workers there. Extremely courteous and professional and dapper. Darn good breakfast! And free with the room. Great elevators. Parking valets were always nice. A …

Very clean room and friendly crew. The size of the room is decent. Only issues would be the overcrowded elevators and the noisy AC. Almost forgot… The crispy wings we ordered from the hotel bar was soooooo good.

Clean, modern hotel with very friendly staff! Well-appointed rooms and an amazing breakfast selection. Fitness center is very spacious and the equipment is in good shape. Some traffic noise can be heard in rooms facing the interstate, but the hotel provides complimentary earplugs. Will definitely return again.
Nice place, service was very reactive. The valet was AWESOME!! Our car needed a jump, and this guy went above and beyond. Very very helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more help. More

-For my 8 night stay I had the room service once. They’ve lowered the daily room service to once per 3 days “because COVID”, but couldn’t even keep to that. I had to call the front desk to get any service. …
First impression: it is super weird that the front desk is on the third floor. If you can get past that, it is a great hotel. It’s not hard to get to, just different and I wasn’t expecting that. It’s understandable though since it is …
Fire station, highway, lack of dinner options, swampy tap water, 2.50 per bottle of water, monopolistic Colonial management parking lot where I would have had to pay 42 * 2 in order to park. Finally a real peach of a manager who thinks it’s okay to keep me waiting while the AC is fixed and I just want another room so I can sleep. More
The worst Hyatt hotel I have ever stayed at and I am at the higher tier for Hyatt loyalty – so that breaks my heart to say. Bed was horrible including pillows, room was only supplied with one shampoo/conditioner and one night’s worth of …
+ Nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Parking was easy and convenient (but did cost $42/day). Breakfast was a hot meal that was a great start before exploring the city.

+ This hotel was a let-down. Over priced and over-billed. It was just ok — plain not grand as expected. Yes, there was a restaurant but it was not what we …
+ The Hyatt Place at DC/National Mall is in a good location near the Wharf/waterfront and comfortable place to stay with an outdoor pool (for 90 degree days!) Our room was spacious and although the hotel is near the interstate there was no noise issue.
Nice hotel, nice rooms BUT same breakfast everyday, they just change the waffles or pancakes. You will be eating scramble eggs, potatos, and sausage everyday. Room housekeeping is every 4 days. More

This hotel was perfectly situated off the highway. The staff were friendly and helpful. They checked our bags for us so we could go site seeing. The hotel restaurant and breakfast was well stocked with good, simple food. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Room was comfortable and roomy. My wife, myself and 2 daughters were very comfortable. Stayed 2 nights. Wife and kids loved the breakfast, I wasn’t as much of a fan. Bathroom door was a pain. Location was awesome!
Poor service. Front desk employees have an attitude when you ask them any questions. Hotel doesn’t have any food inside or near by and bar downstairs doesn’t even sell coffee. There are many other better hotels for the same or better price. Don’t book this one! More

It was overall a pretty bad experience but the biggest problem was they didn’t serve hot breakfast like the website said, they only had cold bagels, yogurt, cereal and 3 fruits. The pool was outside so it was closed because it was in the …
Great, relatively affordable hotel for a major city downtown location. Easy walk to the National Mall. Metro station with access to 3 lines a block away at Federal Center SW. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Free breakfast was a …
Smells horribly in the rooms, smells like a mix of rotten vegetables and a retirement home, bed wasn’t comfortable, workers at the buffet weren’t hospitable. Valet was super expensive. Lost of random noise in the room when we tried to …
+ The continental breakfast was one of the best I¿ve ever had at any hotel I have stayed up instead of the typical pastries they actually had eggs sausage and potatoes each morning of my stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this Hyatt in DC recently. The hotel was clean and conveniently located to the mall. The gentleman who checked us in, let us check in an hour early. When we left, we somehow left a hat behind. One young man ran a …
the cleanliness in the rooms is good, the terrace with a dirty bar, a single employee who attends the entire terrace, at the reception also a single employee, dirty reception, dirty dining room, the breakfast included very bad, they should …
Great rooftop bar with average service that’s not too interested in anything more than transactional relationships. They need more shade please :). More
Newer Hyatt Place hotel. Unlike most of the other Hyatt Places, the room was quiet even though it was next to the highway. I will definitely choose to stay again.
The rooms were super clean. The AC was loud, but no worse than a window unit. A full hot breakfast was included with our stay. There were no towels left when we went to the pool, so I’d bring a room towel just in case. The valet parking was …
Room was clean, but a little worn. Tacked on charges for every little thing, so be aware!
Most of staff was wonderful, but good luck with service consistencies (food, …
Do not stay here! We stayed for 4 nights. We were charged for 8 says of valet and 5 nights. When I called for a refund the manager Lance said he decided to not refund us for the 5th day because we checked in early( which we paid a fee for) …..I’m still fighting to get back our $340 for the 5th night we never stayed! More
Great location. The room is okay; serves its purpose. Our television didn’t work at first, but maintenance came within about 20-30min. The seating/ lounge area in the room is nice. Parking on the street is certainly less expensive than the hotel garage. I lucked up and found a space right out front. The rooftop bar is cool.
We did not stay there we just went across from our hotel to get something to eat the food was not bed that’s the only problem is that every time we went out to eat we had to spend over $150 fancy restaurants but that’s what Laura wanted so we did it.
+ good access to grocery store room has a small fridge and coffe maker breakfast (waffles, sussage, fruits, oatmeal, toast/beagle, jelly/pb/cream cheese spread, tea, coffe, juice)
3 blocks from the national mall. Comfortable and clean rooms. Fridge but no microwave. Even the sleeper couch was decently comfortable. Pretty good breakfast included. Short walk to the Wharf , a CVS and a Safeway. Close food choices are kinda limited so the grocery store might come in handy for some variety.
This is definitely not a USD 400+++ a night hotel but that’s how much it cost. Nothing fancy or special about it. The room was spacious but that’s about it. For that price you don’t even get some bottled water or toiletries. Do not recommend. More
Parking is valet only and it’s 40+ a night. Their breakfast is horrible, cereal, yogurt and a Danish is what they have to offer. Their pool is outdoors which would be fine if you were located somewhere sunny. Also there’s no stores or restaurants close by. I will never stay here again
Not a good place to bring families. We got the first red flag when our Uber driver asked us why we would book here because it is in a dangerous location. He told us not to go out at night. Once we get to the hotel, all the doors were locked …
Nice hotel but kind of in a part of the mall that isn’t as nice. I don’t know what they were thinking by making the bathroom doors sliding frosted glass doors. Almost no privacy or sound insulation, turn the light on in the middle of the night to pee and light up the whole room. More
+ Excellent Location- close to Metro & walking distance from Smithsonian, etc. Safe neighborhood. // Free hot breakfast. // Not noisy; great for sleeping. // Rooftop bar and workout room- Good.
Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for my family (2 adults, 3 kids, including a baby). We had a double queen room with a pull out sofa.
We had a view, but I’m sure there are rooms with better views. …
Ghastly experience. When we walked into our room with two small children, it reeked of marijuana. We were so tired of walking around all day that we didn’t bother to request a new room. We also booked a room with vallet parking and when …
Let me start by saying the rooms here are clean and decent. I wish i could rate this property higher. The panoramic suite is nice, with a good view and plenty of space. The king rooms are your average Hyatt king rooms, and are well kept. …
If you are expecting any kind of luxury experience, this is NOT the place for you. Cleaning does not happen unless you stay more than 4 days. So all the towels, all the trash, all the dishes, cups- you’ll be looking at them for days. Plus …
I think I may have caught this hotel on a bad night in a bad situation, but I was not happy with my stay. There were plenty of issues I had, which I’ll list here as well, but my main issue is I had a hotel maintenance worker LET HIMSELF …
Only one receptionist working for check in but process was easy. Air was not working in our room so it was 76 in the room and very stagnant air. We told the front desk and they sent a maintenance person to look at it. He tried but no luck. …
Convenient location, fairly close to the Smithsonian museums and national mall.
The 2 queen bed (and sofa bed) room is perfect for families. Service is fast and friendly. …
I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I will give 0 star. Because, the focus of the hotel is to get $42 for Vallet parking. They have a really bad service. I can’t wait to get out of this hotel More
We reserved a two bed room online and they only had single bed rooms available at check in. Why offer reservations that you don’t honor?! Super disappointing when it’s late and our whole family is exhausted 😩 …
Breakfast is terrible. Service and dining not so good. Small menu and they are out of half of the menu items. Maintenance isn’t being kept up. Rooms are clean. More
Great location at great price, room are nice and clean, guest service is not that great, is like they are doing a favor serving you, they need a little work a guest relations. Just being a little more polite and open to help will be great.
Lexus, Corey, Laurin and Sharde are simply amazing. They helped with any and every request, always greeted me with a smile and made sure I had all I needed. The staff and service here are excellent. I didn’t want to leave them as much as I didn’t want to leave D.C. STAY HERE. It’s worth it. More
Great location, close to all the major sights. Breakfast was average at best. Customer service was lacking. No blackout curtain in our room entire week. Talked with front desk numerous times and was told each time it would get fixed but it NEVER did.
***DO NOT STAY HERE***
They charged us a $50 fee to check in early, and we didn’t even need to wait for a room to be cleaned first. $42 for valet parking, in their own parking garage. …

We stayed for one night and that was enough to know how things work here. The attention from the front desk staff was very good, no complaints about that. But:
First of all, the elevators are pretty slow, it takes about 5 minutes to get …

The breakfast was great, staff very friendly, and the valet parking was helpful and quick service. The rooms were clean, and we all sleep well in the soft beds. However we had a loud AC in our room. I don’t think each room has one, but in …
The staff is the most UNFRIENDLY I have ever experienced at a hotel. We booked and prepaid for 3 nights through a 3rd party and I called the hotel the day before we were to check in to verify we were confirmed with our room as were to drive …
Our family enjoyed a lot saying at this hotel. Clean and spacious rooms, great hot water pressure, fabulous free breakfast. A/C is a bit loud but we were so exhausted that didn’t hear it after a few minutes. …
Hotel was clean, room was central to a lot of things in walking distance, staff was ok. My issue is that they have double charged my card, refuse to call me back or acknowledge it at all. Called corporate and they keep hanging up on me. There seems to be no other resolution than filing a charge back More
Check-in was confusing and although we paid and booked in JANUARY for October they still wanted a credit card for us to even check in. The valet parking is UBER EXPENSIVE about 50 a night. The breakfast was ok but did not like being yelled …
I was double charged my room three times. They returned the money at one point then recharged it a week later. Now I can’t get ahold of anyone to find out what’s happening. They said it was because we had two rooms but we never had two …
Five minute walk to the metro and a few blocks from the mall and the Wharf. I am a Solo traveler so I liked that I needed my key to enter the building at night. Good room service . Pool for the kids and free breakfast. Rooftop restaurant with views.
A great location. It’s easy to walk to nearly all the attractions on the mall. Parking is expensive, like everywhere in Washington DC. On the Metro just fine so I wouldn’t rent a car unless you had to. It’s next to the freeway, but I really didn’t hear much road traffic. More
This hotel is awesome. Great staff. Rooms were better than expected. Location is just 4 blocks south of the Mall, 5 blocks from the Wharf. We are going to the Wharf to eat. Revirw will follow shortly. More
One of the worst location for an Hotel, attached to a highway from the room you can hear every single car passing by, I had trouble falling asleep for 2 days in row with the constant sounds of cars. Having breakfast is almost impossible it …
Quiet, clean, close to everything, free breakfast. Parking at the hotel is $10/hour or $49/day. Street parking is about $2.5 an hour and it has a max limit of 2 hrs but you can recharge by downloading the parking app. Also getting an elevator can be a hassle at times. More
Good room. The sliding glass bathroom door and the lack of a bathroom fan was a bit undesirable. There was no microwave either. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast as expected. I would stay again. More
Breakfast was good. The pool was way too cold for adults but kids were enjoying it. They have only valet parkings $47 per day. If you are willing to walk there is one $20 for overnight parking.

A well located hotel to all your key attractions. If you enjoy walking in your walking shoes this location is for you. Get your workout and enjoy the tourist attractions all day. Never thought it would be a big buck saver. No taxis or Ubers needed. Just walk to and from hotel. I loved this location a lot.
Great pet friendly hotel. Service was exceptional. My doggie loved the room’s floor to ceiling windows that she could easily “people watch” folks on the street below from. This hotel had the option of early check-in for an additional $50 …
High parking. 49.00 daily.
Very cheap breakfast. Rooms are average at best. Rooms need to be updated. No indoor pool or spa. I’ll Google reviews before booking with Hyatt next time.
Hyatt’s in California are way more upscale.
Clean room. Hotel was quiet, there was no noise from street or interstate traffic. Breakfast was great if you are a fruit, yogurt and toast person, if you like waffles you are out of luck. 15 minute walk to the wharf or less to the …
The rooms were big and clean. I think the location to the National Mall is great, as well as the Wharf. It is not a far walk to either. The staff is friendly, and I have no complaints about the breakfast in the morning. I wish they had more luggage carts because that would have been helpful when we checked in and out. More

Great place for families! Has ADA accommodations if you need them, including a lift at the pool! Enjoyed our stay !
Everything has been perfect! Check in was a breeze and rooms are very nice. The floor to ceiling windows are really nice. I have had dinner here and the continental breakfast. Both were delicious!

Everyone working here is awesome. They’re friendly and helpful. The room is clean and a great value.
Staff was friendly.
excellent location, awesome employees, outstanding rooms most of which have breathtaking views More
Great location and bar.

More

Great hotel! My room was one of the best that I’ve stayed with in a little while. It had lots of space, a nice desk area, king size bed and a wonderful bathroom. I couldn’t ask for more.

At …
Nice clean hotel located a few blocks form the National Mall. Interesting that it’s built directly over a active fire house which you do hear. More
We spend 3 nights here just recently and found the hotel to be lovely.

Receptionists are nice , the rooms feel a bit dated or it could be that ive been to nicer Hyatt’s . Beds are hard – pillows soft . More
Nice place, service was very reactive. The valet was AWESOME!! Our car needed a jump, and this guy went above and beyond. Very very helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more help. More

Great place to stay. Staff were outstanding, from the valet to the lobby staff to the housekeeping staff. The room was very quiet, but they provided earplugs on the nightstand in case you are especially sensitive. Beds were comfortable, …
I enjoyed my stay here. This hotel is about a 15 min walk from The Wharf and a 5 min walk to the closet metro station. The rooms were large and comfortable. …
The staff was so friendly and very accommodating to any question we asked about the city. They called cabs when we needed to get around. The room was very clean and when we needed additional towels they were provided at once. The breakfast proved by the hotel was plentiful and delicious. My mom and I really enjoyed our stay . More
The room is ok but heat was broken had to call them to fix it. And I have never stayed a hotel that without microwave. There are better locations saw on the way. More

Hotel was really nice and in a convenient location for me. The general manager checked me in and was very kind and accommodating. She was wonderful. The room was also perfect, very nice, and clean.
More

+ The location was spot on! It¿s a short walk to some good places and a very short drive to everything to see!

More

Newer Hyatt Place hotel. Unlike most of the other Hyatt Places, the room was quiet even though it was next to the highway. I will definitely choose to stay again.

More

Busy hotel, elevators were always a battle to get on. Rooms were okay, but the upkeep is poor. My ceiling leaked the first day we were there, the shower curtain was disgusting, and I was pretty sure that the bathroom vent was blocked up. I …
Just an okay stay. The hotel appeared to be understaffed like many nowadays. Everyone was super friendly and did the best that they could. Valet needs improvement. There is no where to unload your vehicle other than on the side of the road- …
I get that everyone has a hard time hiring good people lately. This place is certainly no exception. That’s not to say that some people were great, but we had too many bad experiences. …
We stayed for a concert at The Anthem and found the hotel a nice distance from both the wharf and the mall. There was an incredibly long wait for check-in, but Dean at the front desk provided us with an upgrade to a suite that made all the …
A very nice hotel filled with very nice and polite staff. Rooms were very clean. Within walking distance to most of the monuments. Nice breakfast available for all customers. The only disappointment was that the swimming pool was not available year around. Neighborhood was mostly quiet and safe. Easy access to the interstate. More
