We moved out of our home in December and we continue to get bills from our old home from Core. I called in after receiving yet another bill in early January and was told that the service would be disconnected the following Monday and it was not. I just received another big bill.
This is the worst company i have ever deling with
Terrible Customer services and really expensive service and really bad website
Overall The worst company in us
I just called and spoke with Joe in customer service, he was extremely professional and answered every question I had, straight to the point. Thanks Joe!
I thank that you are discriminating against people that go solar with this LFA! If you do it to one you have to do it to all customers! You are penalizing people go solar which is wrong!
I’m pretty happy with IREA. They were helpful when we installed solar panels. And they stopped pushing climate change denials in their monthly news letters.
Calling in to set up a new account– started out 3rd in line– bit of time passed, and the message said I was “first in queue” only for the message to repeat a few more times to now say that I was “fourth in queue”. Now 30 minutes in and no communication with a real person
These ass holes are not open on saturday. How am i supposed to pay bill in person or over phone. Do they want our money or to screw us. Bunch of crooks.
Honestly, I never thought much about my power company before IREA. Over 8 years they have cut off my power twice by mistake. Rates are rearly high too.
Had a couple trees near their lines, but mostly threatening because my wife and I were going to try to take them down ourselves. They took the phone call, sent a team out a few days later, and saved me tons of work and anxiety!
This organization is so incredibly incompetent. Any minor wet snow storm and we all lose power for 24 hours or more. They really just a group of hillbilly hacks running a ramshackle power company.
They disconnected my service when I had proof of payment and a transaction number! Then they took an additional $2.50 fee to pay by phone and another 65.00 fee to turn back on their own mistake
Service constantly goes out. At least 2 or 3 times a month for extended periods of time. Today it went out around 9 AM. Suns out and not a cloud in the sky, estimated time for the electric to be restored is 4-6PM. I’m beyond frustrated with this company.
I agree that IREA is horrible! The man in the back room figured a way to screw you out of more money if you get solar panels now! I think there should be a way to switch to Excel for electric, since we have them for our gas services. There must be a way to file a suit against IREA to do this!
This is the most horrible place to go through if your trying to rent and this is who they use run away fast they do not care will not work with you there mean and I warn you do not use this company
Terrible company, very un-helpful, they are eager to threaten you with cut off, payment schemes are poor at best. They make doing business with them very difficult since they know you have no option to go some where else.
Horrible. I am so disappointed that they are the only option in my area. They are unwilling to help in any way and are quick just to shut off your power, they don’t care that you have kids at home or whatever your situation is, all they want is their money. I was so much happier when I has excel. 🙁
2.50 to pay a bill online or buy a stamp and take a chance with USPS aka the Pony Express since the mail here in CO is slooooowski. I’ve lived in many places being former military and their rates are crazy high.
These people aren’t bad, for a utility. I have dealt with much worse. They have also clearly laid out in some of their news letters why the regulations out of the Obama administration were close to insane in their logic. Smart people.
They have great customer service!
The ladies that work there are all amazing and very kind.
I’ve called a couple times with questions and concerns and each time was a great experience; they were extremely helpful.
Thank you!
IREA is horrible and you’re stuck with them and they know that because there is no other choice. Power goes out 2 hrs before a light storm and power is out for over 20 hrs. What a joke. Complete monopoly racketeering.
They’re trying to run a business and yet their offices are closed on Saturday. Not off to a good start in my book. I work for a utility company myself and you can at least reach a real person whenever you call in. For anything.
Been waiting 8.5 hours for my power to be turned on. I called the guy said to give him 4 more was so rude and told me”he had to go” and hung up. Absolutely sorry excuse for customer service and a way to run a business….horrible would 100% switch services if possible.
IREA and Dave Coker made our build much easier and less expensive than we could ever have hoped for. They worked with our contractor to get things done in a more timely manner. Kudos to this company.
Worst service experience. No IREA rep, 10pm does not count as a same day connection for electricity. No solar company will work with IREA, hopefully Xcel has plans to move to my area.
Someone hit a transformer near our house. It put more than 1300 customers out of power. IREA was out there fixing it almost immediately. Most customers had power within an hour and a half. All had power within three hours.
Highway robbery!!! My electric bill was $600 in a 3200 square foot house and we spent half the time freezing our tails off to avoid running the heaters. They’re criminals as far as I’m concerned.
I wanted to thank IREA for their preventative maintenance during the summer which enabled us to keep our power after a two foot snowstorm March 9, 2016! Between terrible winds and drifting snow we were amazed our power never failed.
This company invested in Coal power and hates hates anyone who goes green or suggests they do. They are trying to figure out how to profit from you producing solar and providing it 50 feet next door so they can make .04 cents a KWH. …
AKA TRUMP ELECTRIC can NOT BE CHRISTIANS responsible for another senior’s passing in my apartment complex…two since 2015. Hopefully;.steps by the federal government will stop their unlawful practices. As a ‘Coop and run by …
Their payment system is built to be inconvenient. They cap the amount you are allowed to pay by card, forcing you to find a checkbook or go in and pay cash. It’s almost 2020 and these people operate like they are supplying the power to the flint stones. I wish there was another option but it’s a monopoly.
So disappointed in this company. I turned in a new auto draft form about 2 weeks before my next bill was set to draft. The woman I gave it to in the Conifer office didn’t do her job and has now cost me $60 in NSF fees!!!! The woman I spoke …
Every time i forgot to make on time payment, their system blocked me from making regular electronic payments, and gave me options to pay only through an agency of some sort where i would pay service charges. i refused to do so and sent them …
The only way to set up automatic payment is an ACH form that looks like it is written in crayon that must be faxed. Not only do you have to put sensitive bank information on a hard copy form, when you fax it…. no confirmation. Nothing. If …
Requested the power be turned on on Monday. It is now Thursday at almost 9pm and it still hasn’t been done. After numerous calls and being LIED to multiple times that it was turned on here we are. One star is to high if a rating.
Always threatens with disconnection and applies $9.25 notification fee. Offers no auto withdrawal from checking and charges high fees for online payment. Basically just trying to make it hard to make a payment, so they can hit you with fees. Wish I can just switch to all solar to avoid dealing with these crooks.
We are not to happy with the new meters that are being installed, ours kept losing power, shorting out, had no electricity for about 12 hours, it was replaced with another new one. hope this one will be as good as the original old meter. the new stuff being made now days seems to be junk, no matter what your looking for…
Really poor company. I even tried to file a complaint with the Colorado PUC, but unfortunately, these folks aren’t regulated by the PUC. Very poor customer service, never available on weekends, high rates. I would switch to Excel in a heartbeat, but IREA is the only option in my area.
Had an outage from high wind on Christmas night. They resolved the issue by 1:00PM the next day. They we’re quick to respond to my outage notification and acted quickly to resolve the issue.
kelsey was super nice from the beginning of the call to the end. I only gave a four because I tried to sign up online to pay my bill and there was no way at all to get my account number except to call in. My experience was great.
IREA keeps withdrawing money out of my account for an apartment complex I have not been in since Sept. 17, 2019. I’ve called numerous of times and they tell me it’s cancelled but then they tell me I need to contact the complex in order to get a refund. I can’t seem to get any help with the apartment complex nor IREA.
Power bill is less than the big city and power has not gone off in years. If anyone gets cut off, it’s because they didn’t pay the bill AND didn’t call the power company…..These guys have always been more than accommodating.
Communicated I would be behind on payment, thinking I was dealing with a professional company… service was cut, than told I had to pay 2 billing cycles, no kind of payment arrangement nor care that my service had been cut. Thank God I had …
These people are freakin MORONS!!! They don’t even deserve a one star rating! We are prisoners to this scumbag company. They act like they doing you a favor by supplying electricity. No matter the problem you’re having they will tell you …
Horrible company! Monopoly in Parker! No compassion, was told by Julie that they are out to “make money”. Smaller company that has a track record of disgusting customer service and probably have ruined many lives in the mountains and …
Very poor customer service! If you are unfortunate enough to get a “customer service” rep by the name of Rob on the phone; hang up and call back. Donna is the only competent employee of this Member Owned Energy Company. My suggestion to the board is to put the members first and revamp the way calls are managed.
When it comes to electricity, we all need it, right?! So isn’t it great that a company can deliver that service to the public without making it harder than it needs to be?! Thanks to the ANGEL named Krista behind the desk at the Sedalia …
What power company ever. In addition to power outages all the time, I had automatic payments set up and they double charged many times. When I called them they said it would take a month for a refund. I wish I had different options for a power company!
This is a great electric company. Whenever we have an outage, normally due to weather, they are responsive and get us turned on quickly. I also appreciate their technology keeping us up to date whenever there are issues.
Worst most condescending customer service ever. You slap a large fee for “back usage” on your customers and expect immediate payment or you shut of their power because of a broken meter. Due to YOUR faulty equipment. Then you are unwilling …
What year is this? OH…2016 and you can’t pay IREA online, unless you want to fork over $2.50 for Western Union!!!! Who writes checks now-a-days?? And are their addresses on their website? No. Are their telephone numbers on the website? No. I guess the best way to go is automated bill pay. Sad.
Your ebill (supposed free) is virtually useless. I have tried to get to it for months, generally without success. Seems you have some crummy system that keeps us from getting in. I’ve called and asked for help, and the people who assist …
I have always been very happy with IREA’s response to customers but today went even further with a personal call. I had a situation last night with someone at my door and let it suffice to say that person ended up with zero affiliation with …
IREA is likely the worst ‘Service’ provider in the nation. Their billing practices are shady at best, and even with E-bill and autopay they still charge late fees and “disconnect notice fees”. Bills must be paid the day they are received …
I have been trying to pay my electric bill for 3 days. The online pay keeps say my card is declined or system error. Irea blows! I would gladly go back to excel if my apartments allowed it.
Rates continue to go up for no reason and where I live they have a monopoly where we can’t select other providers. State needs to open the electric market to allow people to have a choice or go solar to get off this company’s extremely high rates!
Haven’t been receiving my mail (not IREA’s fault but they have been notified that I am having issues with it) I can never get a hold of anyone to change my address now. So as a result of never getting my bill I completley forgot to pay my …
I needed to do an account transfer. I called and a supervisor named Kim answered. She was so helpful, thoughtful, and professional when I was in panic mode, as I had not finished the last step of transfer. She took over, got in the …
I just received a call this evening to inform us that there is a planned power outage for this coming Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM – PLANNED power outage implies that IREA KNEW about it ahead of time but what – just decided to give …
I haven’t ever had any problems with IREA they have always been very helpful and polite when i have contacted them. And there rates seem great from my view point. I am only posting this because of all the negative reviews I saw. If you …
Not a fan of the payment system and the fact that I have to use Western Union. I do like the fact that my rates have not increased since I started using them in 2014. Power has gone out once that I recall. I do live in Parker however so …
Service has always been prompt if there is an issue. I don’t find that the utility bills are any higher than what I experienced with Excel. Payment options are definitely outdated but I haven’t experienced any of the negative things posted in some of the other reviews.
First night in new house, did not transfer to name fast enough. Still trying to move in power disconnected. All flashlights, lighters, matches and candles packed. Still trying to unload boxes using our car lights. Called them around 2:30ish …
They’ll do work for someone else on you’re property without even the courtesy of letting you know what or why even when you’re home. Then when questioned about the work acted unprofessional and wished me best of luck. …
Whom ever “the owner” is, everything on your reviews that are mostly negative, it doesn’t sound like you’re doing much to win your current customers over. You have a lot customers that use the word “shady” a lot. Did it occur to you that …
Can I give no stars? Horrible. Always shortages, if the were from Hawaii. If it snows in Colorado it’s guaranteed outage that takes them forever to fix. I can’t believe they still in the business. I am at the moment 9 hours w/o electricity. …
Worst power company. We have several outages a year. They also changed their pricing so if you want to go solar they try and make it not cost effective by charging you peak power rates. Making solar companies not want to work in my area. They lease their power from excel. Excel allows solar without this peak power rates. WTF!
We’ve never really had a problem with Irea up until they decided to replace a street light and threw the remnants on our yard. We called and complained and we were assured it would be picked up yesterday. It’s still in our yard, luckily …
This company is shady to say the least! Recently our bill went up over $100. Ironically it comes shortly after a new meter was installed, which there was no advanced noticed. In several social media communities feedback has been the same. …
This is the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. I have no clue how Castlerock can allow a company to function and act this way within their city. Because it is the only company that provides electricity in the town of …
This company is shady to say the least. My wife and I have had this service for almost a year, and our bill has DOUBLED in the last couple months which is outrageous. Before I was the only one working and we used DOUBLE the amount of energy …
Called IREA to transfer service from my current residence to my new home. Talked to Michelle, got the transfer order submitted. I was told I had to pay a $5 ‘membership fee’ (what? I’ve been an IREA customer since 2003!), but that the …
Unfortunately, despite all the negative customer experiences, this sorry excuse for a utility company will continue to extort the citizens of Teller County and the surrounding areas until another company moves in to compete. I am thankfully …
Online payment is much more complicated than Xcel energy., Their website needs an update. The one star is because they charge a $2.50 “convenience fee” every time I pay my bill, it doesn’t matter if its credit card or checking withdrawal. That is not how a company should treat their customers.
We just bought a house that IREA services in May. Today is the second power outage since then!!! Horrible, never had a problem with Excel. They need to get their stuff together. We have a special needs son and power outages are so hard on us. My neighbors told us this is not uncommon with IREA
I am always shocked to read the terrible reviews that people leave for a small coop utility company. It is a small company providing virtually flawless service. Their website is a little complicated to get to the payment process area, but …
This company is an absolute joke. The website is terrible and they charge a convenience fee, $2.50, on something that makes their job easier and faster. But I digress, as I sit and try to pay a bill and the site is down. Further, I can’t …
This company has gone out of its way to cheat the customer, we have been a customer for 40 year. There was never a service charge until a few years ago, as we own a home with (2) meters so irea yes little irea charges us (2) service …
I recently moved from Texas where utility companies fought for your business. Unfortunately I had to go with IREA once we moved back. I had to pay a previous balance before resuming service and the lady charged me to use a CC- and …
I had a great experience setting up and getting service moved to a new apartment. Michelle (service representative) was extremely helpful answering all of my questions and laying out my different options. Dealing with utility companies can …
Never has a power company given me so much drive to purchase a backup generator. Even in perfectly clear weather, we lose power at least once a month for several hours, and multiple times per month, we get short blips, enough to reset …
Worst electric company that I had to deal with. Company is punishing their customers for going solar. We have installed our solar system before reading the reviews about this electric company that unfortunately we have to use without having …
We recently got new cards and I forgot to switch the automatic bill pay over to the new card number which resulted in our power being shut off. (Learned my lesson on that!) however, after paying the balance due at 11:00am we are still …
Never had a problem. Yes we have power outages but I live in a mountain community. Very few outages in 26 years. Had 7 feet of snow and never lost power! I really like IREA .Not perfect but neither are Any of the other companies.
The audacity of this utility to force a use surcharge on its customers when it can’t even maintain reliable service is disgusting. The leadership should resign after the constant recent outages.
I called IREA on May 18th to set up new service for a home we purchased. I was told by the representative on the phone that I had a balance from 2008, I forget the total amount but it was between $40-$50. I was told I was unable to set up …
This company charges a disconnect fee if your bill is paid two weeks late, not any utilities that I do business with does that, terrible customer service
Since we have installed solar panels on our home, the monthly bills continue to go up due to their insane special fees applied to solar customers using energy when the panels aren’t producing. We consistently produce more than we use, but …
This year, my bill has more than doubled since last year. According to them, I’m using power in the middle of the night. I have no AC. I rely on fans. I’m not home as often. Yet, their meters say that I’m using power more than I did when I …
I’ve had them for around 15 years and have no complaints. We even ran another service line to a new barn and they did an excellent job. We’ve had pedestals changed out as well. They have always been professional, communicated well, and were overall awesome. Keep up the good work.
Had my power disconnected, my fault, but they didn’t knock or ring my doorbell. And I didn’t know my power was off until it was too late. Called and paid the bill and was told it could be 8+ hours until it’s turned on. So they punish me by …
I’ve always had a good experience on communication with this company. I call with any concern and they are willing to answer questions and are honest if they are unsure of an answer BUT will research to get the answer you need. Just …
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. I had a small single bedroom apartment with minimal use and my regular bill was around 300. My neighbors had the same issues. Replacing the thermostat or having someone come out to look at what might cause the issue doesn’t solve anything. Avoid at all costs.
It’s been 5 days since I made my payment guys… Why is it still sitting in my account. If you want your money you need to take it. I don’t understand why ever bill I pay is taken out within 2 business days here yall are at 5. You need to …
They came and cut my power off after having a payment plan approved by a supervisor. I was told to go to the Sedalia office and pay $405.25 to make arrangements for the payment plan. They then came and cut my power off saying that my …
You would think that, being the only available option for power in the Sedalia/Parker area for many residents, that IREA would be better at what they do. Their website is horribly outdated (last week it told me my account didn’t exist! This …
Garbage. I’ve never left a review before, but this is insane. There is no other way to describe them. I’ve lived in 3 other states and never had the problems that I’ve had with them. Unfortunately: I need electricity to keep my fridge on. …
IREA is always very rude when we talk to them (note, we have never missed or been late on a bill), and they take advantage of solar customers by excessively over-charging on load factors. Past reviews about this are absolutely accurate. …
Who benefits from this 2.3 increase? Not us.. the people out here who I are paying the bill.
What services does the increase include?? 2013 since the last increase, what has improved since then?? Customer service is still ranked the lowest. .
They can’t even properly transfer services! I called to have services transferred out of my name into the landlord’s name, they didn’t have all the info on file for the landlord and kept pushing to have me shut off services (which I didn’t …
I had a pay situation that was an error on my part. Kayla from customer service was great about trying to help me out. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the only options for paying double were crediting next months bill or …
Very frustrating bill options. I have been getting a bill through email for years and I can NEVER get it to work. Always comes in as an error. The amount due on your bill never matches what the website posts. Staff there is usually nice but their policies and procedures are ancient!
I have lived in several areas around the country and have never experienced such disappointing service from a utility company. Losing power at least once a month even in clear and calm weather conditions for several hours (could be up to 12 …
Well Customer Service could use allot of improvement and I made payment arrangements on my bill just to have an IREA man come up my back porch and say he was there to disconnect my Electricity I’m like what I paid 200.00 and made …
Jim here, I found that I had gotten behind in my billing, when they came out to shut my power off. I was able to call and make payment arrangements with them to catch up on our bill, that took place in November. No big deal, until they shut …
After it changed from irea this company is worse than any third world utility company I’m losing my business due to your frequent power outages yet the bill is ready in time with threats
DISGUSTING ……. COMPLETELY HORRIBLE CORPORATION IVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. ANTI VETERAN, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS COMPLETELY USELESS. IVE NEVER HAD TO ARGUE WITH MY ELECTRIC COMPANY TO ALLOW ME TO MAKE A PAYMENT BY PHONE WITH A HUMAN BEING. …
When I moved into my new home (a 3rd floor condo) I was extremely concerned that IREA/CORE was going to be more expensive than XCEL who I have used for the past 4 years for energy. After reading the reviews I was even more concerned. I …
The phone representative gave me the wrong account number. An hour of hassle later and still can’t log in to the account to set up autopay. I agree with the 200 other people here that they seem to want your electric to turn off. I can see why they have 2 stars! Horrible service.
Customer service lady was nice, the only reason for the extra star. Otherwise it’s like they WANT your power to be turned off. They make it so difficult to know if your payment fully processed and to pay your bill if it’s hasn’t gone …
I spoke with customer service representative Adina today to help start my new service. The entire process took less than 15 minutes and Adina was helpful and informative, along with being extremely polite. Thank you for making one step of the moving process very easy.
No solar options ? As Xcel Energy offers ? Besides power supply is inconsistent as of 12-30-2021 all day without power. They are good to bill only and increase price but services are incredibly poor. You can change the name: known tactics …
Signed a contract to get service for construction. They didn’t get the contract within the dates of the contract, even though it was signed and the check was signed and dated within the time frame, and now they are increasing prices and are …
So grateful to be with a cooperative again and not the soulless power company whose area we were in. Their website has a lot of great information and I’ve never had a problem with customer service. Thank you!
We have lived in Conifer for 20 years and over this time, IREA and now CORE has continually improved and now, in 2022, it has sensitivity settings on the lines in high winds. This is brilliant as it cuts power immediately and automatically …
Your sham of a company is unbelievable. I cannot believe after talking to you on the phone to get the property set up and squared away only a few weeks ago, you STILL shut the power off in the middle of a 0 DEGREE weekend. We give you …
I’m using less power and paying TWICE as much in CORE’s new structure. I’m not sure how this is cooperative when I have no say or choice in their pricing structure. They have ZERO benefits for consumers using solar or using power in off …
They originally had an outrageous deposit ($1200) based on the previous owner usage which ridiculous. Then had payment processed twice and duplicated and when requesting a refund they randomly and arbitrarily decide they would collect the …
They charge extra money for peak usage to “improve infrastructure” and we’ve had more outages than when it was IREA. CORE is joke. Extra money being collected to fatten executive payroll.
I was very frustrated registering my account on the new website. I called in to Lori who patiently walked me through the process. She went above and beyond and I was so appreciative. Thanks Lori you are the best.
Ever since the new “smart” meter, my bill is up 25 to 30% From what Im hearing, this is almost across the board with all customers. Our kilowatt hour rate is already the highest in the nation, now we are being ripped off on top of being overcharged! Time for a class action?!?!?!
Edit- Now a 6% “average” increase in electric bills plus an increase in peak hour usage. What do they think they’re doing here? They’re reasoning? “Our board has approved it.” They are lying when they say they are not for profit. What an …
Powers been out for almost 17 hrs already, and they finally give us a estimated restore time of another 12-14 hrs from now. Did i miss the natural disaster, or can this grid not handle a few inches of snow? Ive experienced more outages …
Called to set up initial service. Called about 10 days later to change service start date as my close date changed on my condo. I end up getting a bill before I even own my condo bc they never changed the start date. They stated I never …
its just crazy to me when you call a company to come up with a payment plan to pay off your bill and they prefer to tell you …you have 60 days to pay your bill in full before they send you to
Collections.
2nd time in a month powers out for over 4 hours still out every 2 hours they just move the goal post another 2 hours. BTW Core is majority owned by exel now so is definitely for profit without having to meet sustainable energy requirements time for make a complaint with the AG.
Been without power since 3pm today out here on Schumaker Road. Apparently someone hit a pole on 88th (hope everyone is ok) but it is going on 5 and a half hours with no power. Can’t say anything good about CORE at this point. Our neighbor …
Never had issues with electric, until I had to switch to CORE, I played multiple electric Bill’s of over $200, over twice what me and my roommates had (combined) before we moved in together, and even after overcharging, sent a vacant …
NICE PR stunt with the Invenergy partnership. The reality is you’re the least friendly utility provider in the Denver region when it comes to renewables/solar power. You have been robbing people of the opportunity to separate themselves …
Horrible Customer Service. Be sure to cancel the same flipping day you move while using their services, or they will continue to charge. I repeatedly had to tell them I wanted to cancel and be removed from their billing and services, yet …
CORE electric is simply a disappointment. We had no issues when we had IREA. Since CORE took over we, in woodland park, have power outages way too often. The convenient, for CORE, part is that this only starts to happen when is cold …
Worst electric utility company I’ve ever used. My monthly bill TRIPPLED since IREA became CORE with their fraudulent and deceptive new billing structure. They bill you based on your highest kw/hr usage during “peak hours”, and you are …
I sold my house a month ago, and the new homeowners never switched the CORE service into their name. Today, when I called the helpdesk for support, the customer service rep (agent) wouldn’t work with me because CORE’s records were …
My bill has increased over $100/month from this same time last year. Nothing has changed between last year and this year, if anything, there are less people in the house during the day than there was last year. Waiting on a call back from …
We had moved and the new owner of the house hadn’t changed the ownership of the bill. When we called to address this, the customer service rep was rude and unwilling to help. My husband asked for a supervisor, but they would not put a …
Was told an ex was removed by IREA customer service 2019 post county filed divorce. Found out in 2022 (3+ years later) when adding a new partner that the ex was still there & now have to fill out additional forms & track down & pay for a …
I am new to the state and new nothing about CORE until I had to set up service. I will say they lack empathy and proper customer service training. Every representative that I have had to speak to because of the companies excessive billing …
Very dishonest billing and the representatives have no clue to what is going on. They shut off my power for non payment when a payment was scheduled, called and they told me they had no record of any pending payments. I was forced to pay a …
Never had any issues until they switched from IREA to CORE. I moved out of my apartment a month ago and just received a bill for $80 for the last month that I WASN’T LIVING THERE. When I called to try and fix this they said that they never …
The worst company I have ever had to deal with. Yes my bill was high it was 1500 but in my defense I lost my job because of COVID 19 and First I never got a bill in the mail until the day they disconnected me.. second. We paid 415 to get it …
We moved out of our home in December and we continue to get bills from our old home from Core. I called in after receiving yet another bill in early January and was told that the service would be disconnected the following Monday and it was not. I just received another big bill.
E-bill service

Electeicity is amazing
Horrible company to work with.
An establishment without any heart.

Poor customer.service. Weak website.
Awful service soo expensive
They don’t answer phone calls
Trash
Awful yet expensive service!
Cindy was very nice and helpful.
Consistent electricity, never blackouts
Can’t get hold of them on a weekend? What year is this?
Was charged two deposit fees
Line always busy. So unprofessional.
Website is very clunky, and not user friendly.
Trying to destroy the capability of solar in your neighborhood.
This is the worst display of customer service that I have ever received!
If I could give zero stars, I would!
TERRIBLE bill pay options….many problems over the years
I would give irea – star rating if I could
Customer Service is excellent !! Thank you.
They suck for customer service go solar!
The ladies at the desk are always very friendly here.
This company is awful. They charge way too much.
poor service I have to pay more money just to pay my bill online.
Would leave 0 stars if possible. Horrible service.
They are terrible. Nice people on the phone but always confused…..
Talked with Joe, was courteous, professional and helpful.
This is the worst company i have ever deling with
Terrible Customer services and really expensive service and really bad website
Overall The worst company in us
Monopoly energy company. We’re here because we have no other option – their service reflects that.
Horrible company. Does not care for its disabled customers and have rude representatives.
They charged 83 dollars in just 13 days. Thts freakin expensive!
They worked all day and restored our power in the middle of a blizzard!
How long until you stop screwing your customers who want renewables?
Frequency power outages and very long wait times for service.
Outstanding service and employees, reliable electricity and fair prices
These guys will charge you out the ass. If you live in cr bend over they are gona stick it to you no lube at all.
We have lived here 35 years and we never once ever had any issue with IREA.
would like to pay my bill on line without a fee, I think this sucks but the over all service is fine.
I wouldn’t say poor customer service perse but their website leaves a lot to be desired. Very difficult to use.
Seriously, in this day and age, why don’t you have online bill pay!
Western Union, what, are we in the 60’s?
IREA has been servicing my home for 40years, hardly ever an outage or service problem
Worst electric company ever. Terrible payment system. Can’t even process paymentd correctly. Should be sold to excel.
I just called and spoke with Joe in customer service, he was extremely professional and answered every question I had, straight to the point. Thanks Joe!
Worst electric company ever. They have a horrible monopoly going on here! 😡😡😡😡 …
What’s to like? They have a monopoly in this area. So, outside of PUC regs, they do as they choose. No coop for solar? Really?
Why are most of the 1 star reviews from people who got power disconnected? Pay your bill.
Double-billed and then charged a late fee during a pandemic lockdown – fantastic customer service guys.
didn’t realize there was an issue with bill pay paying the bill they turned off service without a phone call
My fiancé and I just signed up with IREA and they were very friendly and helpful!
Wow same complaint on all these reviews. I have a confirmation number for payment and they still cut my power.
Awful organization. Thats all I can say. Terribly run and exorbitantly more expensive than others.
I thank that you are discriminating against people that go solar with this LFA! If you do it to one you have to do it to all customers! You are penalizing people go solar which is wrong!
Ugh, worst electric company out there. Terrible customer service. They make everything so hard.
Their website is garbage, customer service is garbage. Worst utility company I’ve ever dealt with (and that’s saying a lot).
these guys are super bad, they continued to bill and charge me for 2 moonths after I moved out.
How can someone who sits in the dark, and doesn’t t touch the air or heat Get a 500.00 bill for using a microwave? I’m calling the BBB.
Great company who is willing to work with you. I look at the bad reviews and I wonder if it was just how that person approached the situation. …
new bill pay is ridiculous–what happened to the process with IREA?
Neighbor had some digging and dug up the cable!! IREA was on it, and fixed it ASAP. and communicated with us. and were great.
Expensive trashy service with a monopoly so you can’t escape. Shady and over priced. …
2nd rate increase within 6 months. Greedy and poorly managed
I’m pretty happy with IREA. They were helpful when we installed solar panels. And they stopped pushing climate change denials in their monthly news letters.
Terrible, turned off power even tho bill was paid. Called at 9am and haven’t had anyone out all day to fix their error.
Monopoly taking full advantage of the consumer
Never had this high bill till i joined this company. They charge u load factor adjustment $25.32 every single month.
Licensed electrician here, IREA ignores the NEC code book and installs policy’s to hurt homeowners for their own gain.
Had to sign up with this company because I bought house in castle rock. Lesson number one: call utilities before you buy a house. All of them.
Was transferring an account. Very professional and polite customer service. Only problem is I had to make two calls to get everything resolved.
This is the most horrible place to go through if your trying to rent and this is who they use run away fast they do not care will not work with you there mean and I warn you do not use this company
Rude and inefficient. Had to spend 2 hours on the phone because customer service didn’t know what they were doing. …
Joe in Customer service was a great help, he was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with, his Customer Service was impeccable. Thanks again.
Zero stars – The WORST monopoly ever. They put in new meters and now everyone’s bills have doubled or tripled, and they do nothing.
Thank you!
One of the drivers ran me off the road and tried to assault me in my car. He drove away when I took a picture of his license plate.
Thanks.
Why in the hell did you raise my electric bill $200
Prices are out of site,THE WORD GREEDY is perfect for the new core
Jerry DEROSSETT
Ever since core took over from irea they keep funding new ways to increase the cost.
Losing power at least once a month even in clear and calm weather conditions for several hours (could be up to 12 …
Never had problems with Xcel. Can’t wait to move again.
They have ZERO benefits for consumers using solar or using power in off …
Unable to pay, threatening customers, no customer service.
**Potentially Illegal Activities Warning** …
Just lied to me.
They claim I’ve been on auto payments, I haven’t. had auto payments. After I did …
Worst electric utility company I’ve ever used.
