Terrible customer service. The lying, the lack of explaining, and the outrageous bills. This company traps you into paying them however much they want because there isn’t many other choices for electricity in most of their areas
covid -19 is real, but corn belt says they can’t see it so it’s not according to them. so know people are trap in there home you think they would do a 20% off for customers or something.. naaawwwww. there as greedy as can be to there customers.
I live in a remote area, but power outages are few and far between. When my power does go down, I’ve always been impressed with how quickly it is restored. Thank you Corn Belt!
My power goes out at least once a month. I have lived here for two years and never experienced this many power outages. I lived in Bartlett, IL for 13 years and the power would go out once every few years and it was always due to weather. This is unacceptable and I’m sick of it.
Absolute garbage customer service and communication. Power goes down, without explanation. No service after two hours, no explanation. No ETA on return of service, with NO EXPLANATION. Wait on the phone for 15 minutes to get no answers. Need to know if I should go get dry ice so the groceries I can barely afford don’t spoil.
They know they have you by the balls and will not help you out even when the error is on their end. They ripped me off for ~$70 today. Well played Corn Belt. This will play a major part in the decision making process of my next move.
I usually have a good experience when I go in to the local office or when I call for outages. The cost is reasonable. Today, the woman that answered the customer service number was rude & my only issue was my login was messing up. She needs to remember that without us customers, she wouldn’t get paid.
I can imagine in the 21st century this company scam it citizen. The bills are super high and you can’t switch and the customer service is rude .they told me straight up i should deal with it …i dont have a choice but to pay the bills….scam scam they to be sued
Not sure what all the negative reviews are about but in my area, corn belt hardly ever goes down, compared to Ameren. Ive worked with the customer service and they seem great. Best electric company ive ever had

Excellent customer service. Called about 5:30 this morning ,a tree had taken out a power line. They had a lineman here in about an hour. BRAVO
