They said power would be on today now they are closed and still havent turned it on
Absolutely the most unhelpful, rude, and incompetent staff I’ve ever seen out of any company.
Recc tried to get service for my new house but can’t
Very much appreciate the efforts of these people. If we have a power outage due to a wreck or a storm, you can count on it being restored very quickly.
Very professional , friendly , helpful office staff. Lightning fast installation on new service. Couldn’t ask for better.
When I call in not very friendly attitude. Trying to pay my bill and the card didn’t go thru I asked if she could run it again and she wasn’t very friendly and never said thank you have a good day. Mind you second time the card went thru. Just didn’t like the attitude I was given.
Power goes out way to often. Never have any type of answers when asked always “well we are working on it”. I try not to call very non professional.
Been with this company 35 yrs they suck the staff is great I was getting high bills so I got a new refrigerator and stove had my furnace cleaned and winterized my home and I received a 381 dollar bills the same as last yr sick to my stomach …
So as far as customer service goes. Madison was not only very patient with me but extremely informative and friendly!
Rude staff, fees that are ridiculous, and never helpful. Talk about a shiesty company that can get away with their outrageous pricing because they are the only ones you can use. Our bills are super high, way above Hardin Co, and they add so many fees on for no reason. Worst electric company I have ever had, country wide!!!!
We had a power outage this morning around 4:30am, by 5:15am this was fixed. Everyone from the dispatchers, the office personnel to the repair techs in the trucks are true professionals with hearts of gold. Thank you Meade County RECC!!
Had an amazing experience with both the linemen on site and the office staff. Followed up with us in a timely manner and made sure we were happy. Overall positive experiences each time we needed them over the past 8 years.
Why do they publish that slick magazine, that no one uses except to line bird cages, and charge these outrageous prices? They gave themselves a 30% price increase a couple of years back, just like that. It’s not like a Co-Op at all. …
As electric companies go, Meade County RECC is very good to deal with. Any time there is a problem they are very quick to fix it. The prices are much lower than compared to Jefferson and Bullitt counties.

Moving into my new home and I call to find out that my deposit is $500!! Never have I ever heard of such a thing, also when I try to call it takes forever for anyone to pick up. Haven’t had a first bill yet but we shall see probably by the reviews I’m not gonna like it.

Out in my area we keep having power surges about midday and late evening without popping anything on our fusebox. Just shuts off for a few seconds and back on. I’ve reported it but nothing has been done or discussed with me about it
I only had positive interactions with Meade County RECC employees. Always friendly, professional, and helpful. Additionally, we had a dangerous dead three by the wires. I called them and asked if they could help me. They took down the tree without any issues and did not leave a single mark on the ground. Thank you!

I called to express my opinion about a situation and the supervisor was very rude. Not once did she try to listen, she only wanted to be heard. I will not call again, they will only see my face!
