Direct Orthopedic Care (ID) Reviews ( 68 )

  1. In quickly and the exam was thorough. Kalani explained the diagnosis and plan of care thoroughly so my 13-year-old could understand. Front office staff was friendly and helpful. Great experience!

  2. What a joke! After waiting for an 1:45 minutes they couldn’t tell me how much longer it would be. I saw one patient make it in and out that whole duration. I left and made an appointment with my regular doctor. I’ll never go there again.

  3. I love this place. Scott is so knowledgeable and skilled in helping me manage my back pain and migraines. Matt and Brian are always helpful with scheduling and insurance. I wish I had found this place years ago.

  4. One visit to a PA, not even a doctor and just the visit alone cost over 400, then another 400 for a boot and another 150 for xray. Could have gone to an urgent care or my own doctor for much less.

  5. Absolutely terrible experience. Broken bone and two weeks later no contact from them. I eventually found out they have had my results for 5 days. I’ll be going to another doctor and its highly unlikely I will ever return. I would not reccomend this place to anyone.

  6. Paid $350 to be told I have shin splints. Turned down PT as it’s expensive. Went a few months with them and decided to try PT. Wanted another $350 to be told I have shin splints again before referring to a therapist. …

  7. Son just had his ACL and meniscus repaired at a real hospital, dr said it looked like an old injury which last yr we took him here and was advised he bruised his bone real bad. Wished I’d gotten an MRI but the dr here said one wasn’t needed. Don’t trust the DOC. Not worth it in the long run.

  8. Wonderful experience! Even though I had a needle in my elbow LOL. I would recommend this place to family and friends! Thank you Collin at DOC!!!!! Brook was an amazing support as well!!

  9. I went into the Meridian DOC location with foot pain. I was checked in, seen, x-ray’d, diagnosed, fitted with a boot and discharged in under an hour. The care I received at DOC exceeded my expectations – I will never go to the ER for a …

  10. Had to go into DOC at 7:30PM on a Saturday, 30 minutes before they closed due to a bad ankle sprain I got while out running. They didn’t once complain about my late arrival and helped get me into a boot and back home quickly. I had a great experience with the doctor and staff here. Great place to go!

  11. Wait was minimal. Like 15 min. VERY informative. Very knowledgeable. I went there for a right knee problem and while I was there they checked my chest too cuz I was having pain and they had no problem looking at my chest also instead of …

  12. The staff at Direct Orthopedic Care were wonderful! I appreciated their organization and ability to provide the best care possible. Dr. Smith was thorough and explained all of my options to me, you can tell that he and the other staff have a passion for what they do.

  13. I can confirm the other reviews, the staff is rude. During the visit two other doctors entered without notice and didn’t intrude themselves. One of them started speaking and I was very confused and intimidated. Can you please teach your doctors to introduce themselves to the patients (at least their name and their role)?

  14. Dr. Kemp has to be the rudest person I have ever met. What a waste of time and money. He said all he could offer was anti inflammatorys and ankle brace. And telling me the surgery my other doctors cure of fusing my ankle would not work …

  15. My husband was having a significant amount of pain in his hip and I made the mistake of telling him to go to DOC. He was misdiagnosed which delayed effective treatment for months and cost us several hundred dollars, unnecessary, out of …

  16. Loved my experience here. Broke my fibula and went to st Luke’s ER who then made me an appointment the next day with one of their doctors. After waiting over an hour past my appointment time I left and went across the street to DOC. They …

  17. My daughter had a very bad fracture to her 3rd metatarsal (an important bone in the foot) in August 2016. I am so glad we went to DOC for her care. We have seen them many times, as the fracture required extensive surgery, with non-weight …

  18. Beware, every visit is a new account so you end up with multiple bills that are due immediately. One knee injury has 6 accounts with the same facility, making it impossible to make a payment on each. Even if you send in a payment for each …

  19. Had knee problem, I saw Arthur Nease PA at DOC and was told I had severe DJD with Patella-femoral disease and received a cortisone injection. I was told this is not a cure and that it is progressing, if the cortisone shot wears off to call …

  20. We had to reschedule two appointments because I work nights and was not able to get off work in time for my appointment they counted both reschedules as a no-show rather than just a reschedule so was told that the doctor I was seeing would …

  25. My wife went in for diagnosis after falling on hike. Treatment was good, but they gave her a boot and knee brace. They charged insurance 475 for boot and 450 for the knee brace. The same boot online 89 and a similar knee brace 35.to 50. Our …

  28. Came in for knee pain. They took an X-ray even though I told them it was from a previous ACL surgery. The PA came in and asked me questions yet wouldn’t let me finish any of my sentences. Did some palpitations on my knee, told me nothing …

  29. From the front desk to the techs and P.A.- EXCELLENT!
This was my first time in to DOC. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile from Brian. I felt welcomed and he was professional and welcoming. …

  30. Outstanding service! They are quick and efficient, and appointments have often been completed in just a few minutes. I have dealt with the normal practice of dealing with injuries, and this is amazing by comparison. …

  32. I have to say that we were rather pleased with our experience all around. There is one thing I found a little uneasy, which was never speaking with or ever even seeing a doctor to discuss my x-rays, during my walk-in. The information was …

  33. I’ve been dealing with a lot of pain from my elbow to my knee on one side of my body for about a year. Last spring I saw my Ortho doc, and he said everything looked fine, and that was it, so I’ve been dealing with it through COVID. I felt …

  39. I am very frustrated with her experience at DOC yesterday. Brought our two year old in who hurt her foot the night before coming down the stairs and wouldn’t put weight on it. They would not see her. We were told we had to have a referral …

  40. Went in for a injury to my foot. Doc was great as was the xray tech. However the receptionist needs to go back to mannerism school. In my opinion when some one goes in with a injury regardless of how big or small showing compassion instead of acting as the person in front of you is a inconvenience.

  41. Came in with some serious neck pain and can’t rotate head at all. Quick meet with a PA and then a X-ray. “Everything looks alright just some muscle spasms”. Out the door with a prescription for muscle relaxers and pt for posture if I want. …

  42. Were blessed to have Lola Battaglia greet us at check-in, late yesterday, with her exemplary patient, efficient, very considerate, and sparkling poise. Our appreciation and gratitude was only enhanced by the prompt and professional skills of Kalahni PA, and his timely shots.😉 …

  46. I felt listened to and very well taken care of after waiting 3 weeks for a completely different provider’s office to give me MRI results. Love this office from the amazing front desk ( Jenny I think), the X-ray person and Chelsea.

  47. Scott is awesome! Did a great job with my knees that are in less than perfect shape. I highly recommend him for anyone having orthopedic issues. He is super friendly and really knows what he’s doing. He explains everything very well. 5+ stars!
