Absolute rip off! $6.00 per pound/gallon for propane. Office should tell people that when ordering. How many ways do they have to overpay themselves.
BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH DOWNEAST. IF YOU USE THEIR PROPANE TANK THEN THEY CAN CHARGE YOU UP TO 2 TIMES THE GOING RATE FOR PROPANE. THEN WHEN YOU FINALLY HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF BEING GOUGED THEY WILL SEND YOU A BILL FOR COMING TO HAUL AWAY THEIR TANK.

I placed an order for fuel for a specific amount and paid for said amount at the time of order. They then gave me more fuel than I ordered and billed me for the difference, unknowingly, and I now have a late payment on my credit report thanks to this.
