I have had their service for 8 years. Late 1 month 1st time in 8 years and they threaten to turn my service off. Voted in a 80 percent rate hike over next 4 years with out any vote from their customers.

Online payment system if ridiculously bad, they still have not reduced water rates since hiking them up during the faux drought we supposedly experienced and they take forever to update records
Had brownish water coming out of our taps on a weekend night. Left a message on the service line and got an immediate call back. Just had to flush my water lines, apparently EID serviced lines up the road and they stirred up “sediment”…
I feel sorry for everyone that lives in el dorado county and has to deal with these horrible disgusting people that run EID. They charge an extreme price for water (mind you something you can’t live without) nearly double what sacramento county charges. I’m disgusted!

Their online autopay system is a joke. They shut our water off without even sending a proper notice making sure that we know they are going to shut our water off. The reconnecting charge is $120.
