Family Medicine Associates Reviews ( 42 )

  1. They failed to send my prescription to the pharmacy multiple times been 2 weeks and they still havnt sent it. They seem to be unorganized. Friendly staff though.

  2. We have been trying call the office for over a week now and no one seems to answer their phones. We got through to their office once and left a message but never heard back. They also do not respond to emails. Very unprofessional!

  3. Doctors are great but the admin staff is rude and sent all my info to the wrong address on multiple occasions even after I updated my location with the receptionist.

  4. Terrible. You’ll never see the doctor, you’ll never see the specialist they refer you to. You’ll see their assistant with a promise of the a follow up from the doctor that’ll never come. Pick anywhere but here.

  5. First time in a long time I felt taken seriously by a doctor. Spent lots of time with me going over my issues even the ones I wasn’t immediately concerned with. Very good first experience.

  6. The staff has been amazing! Dr. Lloyd Darlow is attentive and helpful. We are so glad to have them to help us when we need them most.

  7. Unbelievable. I paid out of pocket to see a Doctor about a rash which turned out to be Lyme disease. However, I didn’t even get to see a Dr. Instead, I was misdiagnosed by a Nurse Practitioner who took a quick look and said that it wasn’t …

  8. I completely agree with C Walker. Brentwood location staff are not friendly or accommodating at all. They seem irritated every time I’m there, and often plain ignore patients. A simple smile would go a long way. It is also difficult to get in to see a Dr.

  9. Brentwood Location- The front staff are incredibly unprofessional, yelling at one another in front of patients. They lack in customer service, which creates a very unpleasant experience. Additionally, the nurse practitioners do not seem incredibly knowledgeable and it is almost impossible to see a doctor.

  10. I had my first appointment at the downtown location, where I waited 45 minutes to have some bloodwork because I was experiencing extreme bloating and pain in my stomach. I had my follow appointment in the other location, where I waited over …

  11. Kind, knowledgeable, professional medical care. I have worked as an RN in various settings and have been a patient in various settings and find Family Medicine Associates to be top notch. I have been a patient with Dr. Choi for six months so far and have had only good, appropriate care with him and the rest of the staff.

  12. Avoid at all costs!!! They do NOT care about your health and well being. They discharged me as a patient over a $61 co pay and sent to collections even though they had the wrong contact information for me. I have always paid my Copays. I …

  13. Ask to see Dr. McClelland even if the wait is longer than a nurse. He is the best. He takes time to listen to you and really cares. Remember, Dr.’s go through far more school and training. You are much more likely to get an accurate …

  14. I love this place! The staff is so down to earth and sweet! I hate the Dr office but they made me feel comfortable! Dr Berlin is also super down to earth, caring, and thorough! She knows her stuff & is the best doc I’ve ever seen, even though that doesn’t mean much 🙂

  15. I used Family Medicine for about 2 years. In those 2 years, I’ve seen and heard the front desk staff not only comments on a patient’s disease (including the patient’s name) but actually make fun of patients because of their disease. After …

  16. Admin staff are fierce gatekeepers…they won’t even talk to you until you show them your insurance and then will blow you off if they aren’t affiliated with it, even if you tell them you will pay in full and that your insurance will …

  17. I have been a patient at Family Medicine for over 2 decades. I have found their doctors knowledgeable and helpful. The only time I felt inadequately served was when my care properly belonged with a specialist which they had no problem doing once it was clear that was needed. Thank you Drs. Darlow, Breiman and Mclleland for your care.

  18. Doctors are friendly and professional. Majority of staff is courteous. I have always had a very skeptical opinion of doctor offices but they have been more than willing to listen and answer all of my questions. Thank you for the great …

  19. Dr.Darlow has been my doctor since I was eight years old. Never had a bad experience and they are always welcoming and friendly. They have two offices, one downtown on State Street, and another up by the Airport. Makes things convenient …

  20. Customer service is extremely poor and unprofessional. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes, the person on the line was rude. I am sure that they are understaffed and lack training. An investment into their training and a few additional staff members are needed to make the office fun more efficiently.

  21. Dr. McClelland is very good. NP Liz is awesome. They treat me with respect, which I don’t feel like happens other places. If they don’t know something, they find out, or find you someone that can help you and get you to that specialist. The …

  22. This medical practice is sad. Every time I arrive for an appointment, even for quick simple procedures, I end up waiting at least an hour just to get into a patient room, where I sometimes wait another 30 minutes or more. I had to leave in …

  23. The nurses and providers are amazing! So nice and welcoming, very professional. However, the receptionists are always incredibly rude and unwelcoming. They make me and my family uncomfortable every time we call or come in. A bad lead up to some great providers.

  24. I have Dr. Berlin and have also seen a few other Dr.’s and many staff members during my time as a patient. The staff has ALWAYS been very friendly and understanding. The Dr.’s and staff have worked together to accommodate me despite my …

  25. I don’t recommend becoming a new patient here. I switched after moving to the area from Rochester. I have only visited 1 time and I honestly don’t want to go back. The doctor was nice but the front desk staff has terrible manners and are …

  26. I had Dr. Donovan 2 weeks ago, he was very kind and gave me lots of helpful advice. He listened to my concerns carefully and checked up my condition well. I am very thankful to have him as my family doctor for me and my husband.

  27. My husband has been a patient here for a few years and is finally leaving. As a medical professional myself, I am absolutely appalled at how this place runs. He is prescribed medication and has the hardest time trying to get them refilled. …

  28. They finally sent me a letter “regretfully” ending my service. I am SO HAPPY! This office has done nothing but belittle my family for years. When my father and I asked for assistance seeking help with weight management (non surgical) the …

  29. Love my doctor but…. Front desk, making appointments, getting patient portal messages answered…. SLOWER than a turtle. Message machine bounces you all over, portal frequently ignored. Took them over TWO MONTHS to send me the paperwork a …

  30. I have been a patient of Dr. Midura for over 20 yrs. He’s an excellent, compassionate, very easy to talk to, never felt rushed, answered all my questions. Eased my anxiety before a major surgery. Very nice man overall!
