  1. horrible customer service. Having my service disconnected because I have moved and I am currently dealing with a major attitude from a woman by the name of Karen in the call center.

  2. I’ve always had horrible customer service, outrageous pricing and terrible experiences. The only good part about them is the electrical workers on the ground.

  3. Let people choose whatever energy company they want. City of Garland should hold another vote to deregulate electricity usage across the whole city.

  7. Strange place. The power is out a lot more than when I lived in the country. Literally goes out for no reason at all and comes back on sometimes 1-2 hours later.

  9. After Hurricane Irma hit. Workers from this company came to our little town of Bartow to help us out. They are the nicest company out there. Thank you for your generosity.

  10. I had to talk to several different people in multiple departments to get them to fix a damaged external wire. If it were not for the guy in dispatch, Chris, finally helping me I would just give a 1 star. Train your people better, don’t just pull answers out of your culo.

  13. The worst electric company with no option of changing company’s. Highly recommend you don’t move to garland because of this ONLY electric company. Definitely our biggest mistake. Hope this helps y’all save money!

  14. We had a leak in our sprinkler system for several hours and lost tons of water due to the problem. GPL took care of us by helping with the water bill. Thank you for having great customer service!

  15. A perfect example of government bureaucracy. Take the ability of citizens to choose their own power company and then charge ridiculous fees, provide poor service, and non-competitive rates. This is a complete rip off that makes me regret living in Garland.

  16. My waterbill reads 7836. My water meter reads 7794 (on the day I received my waterbill). Either these people cannot read their own meters or they are billing me for 4200 gallons of water I have yet to use. Online account (which I rarely use) comes back disabled upon login. WTH?

  21. I literally HATE this electric company. I had to pay $200 for a deposit regardless of my credit. Then a $50 activation fee and they didn’t even come out to the complex. My bill for 13 days was over $300 smh…There is no after hours or emergency number… they need to be shut down! I wish I could give no stars

  23. The electric utility situation in Garland is really bad. These guys have an unfair monopoly and they charge whatever amount they want, as a result the customers are the ones who suffer. Moreover they charge around $3 for online payment and take $1.5 if you pay in cash at their location. I feel I am being ripped off here.

  29. They make you pay $550 dollars upfront if you are an out of state resident moving there. You have to setup multiple logins just to view and pay your bill. Then you get charged just to pay your bill online. Nothing like a monopoly poorly run by the government.
