Gateway Ambulatory Surgery Center Reviews ( 29 )

  1. I honestly hope I NEVER have to step foot in this place again ! The older lady at registration was rude to both myself and my sister in law for no reason. The nurse Melissa that I had injected me with a numbing agent for my IV WITHOUT putting her gloves on first. Y’all need to get it together

  2. My husband had surgery in March at this facility and the staff and medical care that he received could not have been better ~ for that, they deserve a 5 star rating, BUT……..the reason I cannot give an excellent rating is because of the …

  3. Medical staff is fine, it is the front office administration that gets them the low marks. If I treat a customer in my job the way they treated us I would be fired. Will never be back here due to them.

  4. I had surgery today and I was SO scared. (Coming out of anesthesia, I told them I would give them a good review LOL…here it is!) The staff were all so wonderful and caring! They were able to calm me and i had a wonderful experience! They even numbed the IV site before placement and I didnt feel a thing! Thank you all so much!!

  5. My toddler was recently in here for tympanostomy tubes. Our amazing ENT doctor uses Gateway Surgical center for his procedures. We were in there super early in the morning and the nurses at Gateway were very caring and nurturing to my …

  6. The medical staff couldn’t have been any nicer. From the time I was called to the back to the time I was discharged I was treated kindly, professionally, and respectfully. I was a little disappointed when I let the person at the front desk …

  7. My husband was scheduled for surgery there. When we went for his preliminary EKG, which was scheduled by a Gateway employee, he was told,
“I don’t got no EKG order scheduled for you.” She didn’t offer to call anyone …

  8. Had nasal surgery there the check in was intense but the young lady was very professional The nurse who got me prepared for my surgery ( IV , blood pressure cuff, etc) was pleasant but once they wheeled me into the O R it went down hill …

  9. Scheduled a colonoscopy. No one calls me for 3wks. I get a call to do a preprocedure COVID test. Later the same day of my COVID test, I get a pre registration call. At the end of the call I am informed that I have a past due bill from 2012 …

  10. Fortunately for me my time with Gateway was a pleasant experience.
Everything from scheduling to administration went super smooth.
All the staff from admissions to surgeon was professional, courteous and friendly. I will be sure to return when needed. Thanks to everyone involved.

  11. Today 8/12my wife went into surgery the women at Gateway made us feel that they really cared and they do It was a wonderful experience we chose to take a taxi home and one woman waited patiently with my wife in a wheel chair to make sure she got into the taxi safely thank you all so much

  12. Had surgery. Everything from check in to being prepped for surgery was very professional and caring. Nurses before and after were wonderful!

  13. If you have an option to go elsewhere, please consider it. While I suppose the ultimate medical care provided was sufficient (hence 2 stars instead of just 1), it came with next to no empathy, compassion, or concern. After waiting nearly …

  14. Got me in & out fast for having a polyp removed & biopsies done. No after care or emergency # to call if there was a problem after going home. This routine procedure turned in to a 4 day hospital stay.

  15. My experience with the surgery center during my procedure wasn’t bad but still struggling to get caught up on bills from Covid, a severe car accident, and cancer treatments and then having a sheriff show up at my house to deliver a summons where the surgery center is suing me over my bill is absolutely insane.

  16. Fantastic Service!! Much Better than What I have Experienced From The Main Hospital. Truly Recommend Asking your Doctor if Any Outpatient Surgery Can Be Done Here if In the Concord Area of N.C.

  17. I had a procedure done here today and was very impressed from check in to check out. The staff was friendly and help assuage my fears. I would definitely recommend.

  18. I was embarrassed, humiliated, and degraded by the anesthesiologist before my eye surgery. I was experiencing a panic attack.I informed my nurse and anesthesiologist that my doctor had instructed me to request anxiety meds as soon as I …

  19. While my surgical experience & team were exceptional, I was truly amazed that many patients, visitors, and staff ( including clinical) were not masked!
I also witnessed a few people right outside the main entrance smoking whereby the smell permiated the waiting area.

  20. Do NOT bring your child here for any sort of procedure that requires anesthesia. They warned me my little one would be confused and agitated when he woke up in recovery and I was mentally prepared for that. What I wasn’t prepared for was …
