My granparents have had their service for almost 20 years. Everytime there is an outage, minimum 2 days of being out. If its a weekend, expect no customer service and a joke of an outage map. It pulls up dallas tx. No updates are provided. Unacceptable.
Terrible! They sent a crew out to do a routine “trimming” on some trees. They did not trim the trees they completely cut 4 down to the ground. These trees served as a privacy wall between neighbors. And left them for my 80 year old father to clean up. And of course customer service will not even discuss the situation.
Had power shut off today, they said they left a voice mail 2 days ago. I see where they called but no voice mail was left. This is the second time this has happened and ive been charged 130 DOLLARS for a fee. Ridiculous!

Why can HEMC not make a record of the meter numbers on the properties they service? It is a great inconvenience to have to physically go read a number that is already registered with HEMC in order to transfer the service. Sound like they need better software that is more capable of keeping up with their records.

A tree fell into some powerlines near our home just a moment ago (4am) and knocked the power out for the whole area. They responded to the scene within 20 minutes of it happening. Very grateful that we will have power to cook breakfast with thanks to their efficient response.
