We were told that we would have rolling blackouts lasting for 30 minutes at a time. We have been outright lied to. We have 3-5 hours of no power, then 15-30 minutes of electricity. I have 4 sick kiddos and no electricity. This is not acceptable. Our roads are not passable, so we can’t even drive into town for a hotel.
I want to thank the 2 Gentlemen that came and fixed my electricity this morning in KempnerTX. They arrived quickly and both so friendly. That’s what great service is all about.. THANK YOU
Been a customer for 1.5 yrs now, first time with a COOP. Very pleased. Did not lose power during big freeze. Always courteous and helpful on phone. Rates are kept very reasonable, especially considering the grid fiasco we experienced in February. Thank you HCEC for being a good steward.
Paying more than I have ever paid before for electricity. The worst part is I have been forced into the Coop and unable to go with any other provider because of where I reside. (Looking at some of the other reviews, some people basically give 5 stars for everything…)

Maintained power through one of the worst crisis’ our area has ever faced.
The power seems to go out a lot and when you call to report the outage, the individual answering nevers seems to know any information.
They shut off power to our street without warning anyone. I work from home on a computer and this is a major problem.

Excellent service. We went an entire summer without a black or brown outage.
