I’ve waited a month for appointment, only to have it postponed nearly another month. It’s happened before. Unfortunately, you don’t have any choices unless you leave the practice. It doesn’t quite feel like the patient is the priority.

I have went to this clinic for quite some time now and have always had good experiences. I’ve never had to wait an unreasonably amount of time to get an appointment, while at my appointments, they have always been efficient with my time and always listen to me and my concerns.
The staff and Dr. Karen are amazing. Dr. Karen listens to her patients. She takes the time to explain in detail any issues and makes sure they understand.

Most difficult eye doctor office to deal with in the area. The schedule is always like a month out and you are there for almost 2 hours for an exam. Also horrible communication from the staff. They never have my contacts in stock. Their prices are horrible for contacts. Never going back.

Then on top of that I was confronted about paying for the Optomap when I wasn’t not told about it by any of the confirmation calls or texts. The worst place for Hanford safety glasses or any other glasses. Won’t assist you at all unless you have your prescription or other tests done there. I recommend Uptown Vision. Great customer service and not so stuck up that they require all the tests being done there to help you.
My 4 family members go here and have always a good experience. Yes, there are times they are booked out further but it’s to be expected with a busy practice. When I needed to get my daughter in sooner, I simply asked for an appointment with a doctor with the soonest opening and I was able to get in within a few days.

Dr. Trent Thompson and his assistant are exceptional. But the billing department doesn’t like my PEBB United Healthcare Insurance. I was told they don’t bill Spectera, the customer service agent for my plan says it doesn’t go through Spectera. I have been at Heaston & Thompson many years, but being retired has been challenging.
The office staff went out of their way to help me get a timely appointment, made me feel comfortable, and I was treated quickly and with great care. Dr. Liz and her assistants are the best!
