Heritage Medical Associates Reviews ( 110 )

  1. Do not go see Dr. Murff. I started seeing her in January 2021 after my other PCP left Heritage Medical Associates. I recently moved out of state and ran out of refills on my anxiety/depression medication. However, I wasn’t able to get an …

  2. I came here for years for primary care and dermatology. I would have given it 4-5 stars back in 2015-16, but as time went on I felt less and less cared for by the staff. Always felt like I was being rushed and pushed out the door, mostly by …

  3. I am fairly new to Nashville and Dr. Anderson has become my first primary care doctor as an adult. I have very much enjoyed being his patient and he is very kind and informative when I have questions. The Follow My Health portal is super …

  4. I was treated awfully at the front desk and also cussed out by Crystal of the front desk staff out in the parking lot as she tailgated me and swerved and honked behind me before my appointment in october 2017 …ive attempted to report …

  5. Terrible customer service. Never answers the phone. Never returns calls. If they work with patients and customers this way on basic care I would hate to know my life was in their hands. THE WORST. STAY AWAY!

  6. Love their staff at Heritage from the receptionists to the doctors. They are very thorough and knowledge, as well as extremely caring. Plan to stay with them for life!

  7. Love my doctor but I don’t like their phone system, you cannot get to a real person and don’t know if they received your message until they call back.

  8. just called to schedule a appointment. they do not accept medicare! when offered cash was told they would refer me to another doctor!
I guess they do not understand the word CASH!
I guess I’ll be better off some where else for sure.

  9. Provided an estimate after running it with our insurance company and then invoiced for 25% more. None of the procedures or services were changed after the estimate, and they refused to correct the bill.

  10. I have not been able to get in here yet. They set appts based on your insurance. Since I have one kind, they cannot see me until September. I would be able get in sooner if I had a different insurance. No thanks- my health should be more important than $$$$$$. I would not have given one star but I was required to.

  11. Excellent physicians. I see a primary care and specialists as well. Easy parking. On site lab and imaging. Patient there for over a decade. Newly remodeled, Highly recommend!!

  12. This is not for their pediatricians…we love them…however…my wife went in for what we thought was a physical covered by our insurance. Then they call us asking for $324 saying it was a new patient visit…so less than 5 minutes of chat…$300…full physical, covered…i get the money hungry stuff now. Absurd.

  13. Very poor experience. Did not return any calls after 3 phone calls. 2 weeks of waiting for a call asked my GP to call. They advised they did not wish to see me and my referral was not needed. Very rude and unprofessional way of dealing with …

  14. I called and made an appointment for my 17 year old son. In which they took ALL of our insurance information. I drive 2 hours to only be told they do not accept his secondary insurance! I offered to pay and was told they could not do that. …

  15. The surgical center is not good. The office staff is rude and they make the driver wait in the lobby for hours for a simple procedure. They should allow the driver to come back and not be inconvenienced. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS POLICY AND I …

  16. Do not use this medical group. Some of the doctors are good but it doesn’t make up for the systematic problems that it has. They don’t provide any written reports when they complete procedures. You will never get to speak to your doctor. This is honestly the worst medical group I have been a part of and I look forward to leaving.

  17. The people at Home Medical my you feel like the most important person in the world. When I left I felt like I was going to miss them. It restores your faith in humanity in time when people don’t have much time because everything is so busy. Love people not money.

  18. The wait time is SO LONG. Yesterday. I waited for an hour and a half for a simple consult. This morning, I waited OVER an hour for a lab sheet (one piece of paper). Scheduled my appointment to pick up the sheet at 7:45 am… Was the first …

  19. I called to schedule my 4 children was told they can only see two which ok I get it it’s your policy, well I told the girl I thought that was kind of a silly policy because parents have to come back on different days but whatever. Scheduled …

  20. Pay your bill on time or make arrangements to pay; be transparent and inquisitive; be nice and keep your appointments and–I suggest, a paper trail–and everything should be fine. Family and I have had multiple dealings with Heritage and we’ve never had a problem, in fact, they’ve been very pleasant to work with.

  21. I have seen two doctors at HMA, both of whom are amazing. Dr. Wright and Dr. Wierum are the most competent, communicative, and collaborative medical professionals I’ve known. The staff is friendly, effective, and do what they promise. I have zero complaints. Parking is convenient to the building and free.

  22. My doctors at Heritage (downtown) are fabulous! I have a lot of complicated health issues and am so thankful to have a great team of physicians who work together to coordinate my care and make sure that I am receiving the best medical help …

  23. Have been with this practice since the beginning as a patient. Over the decades have had to use orthopedics outside this group, and oncologist outside this group. Heritage in comparison is top notch. Our Primary care doctor here truly does Care, and works to get me well.

  24. I have been a patient with Heritage Medical for over 30 years. I have received excellent care from every Dr. I have encountered over the years, especially Dr. Mike Callaway, Dr. Leslie Franklin and Dr Aparna Frenchman. This is a great …

  25. I had a problem with the office in Mt. Juliet who recommended an x-ray that seemed unrelated to my problem. When I asked why, they refused to tell me unless I paid for another office visit. When I objected and refused to come in for such a …

  26. Quite simply the worst experience I have ever had in healthcare. Went one time to the office, they asked me if I would be ok with a high school student being present during my appointment after he was already in the room. I said no of …

  27. I have been a patient of Dr. Scudder for 20+ years. While she personally is a great doctor, the overall Heritage Medical Associates organization is horrible to deal with! I work in healthcare and still cannot understand their bills. …

  28. I agree with most of the posts here. This place is money hungry. I’ve been seeing Dr. Joseph Parker for several years regarding my ulcerative colitis and have had numerous colonoscopies. Almost two years ago I was sent to court and accrued …

  29. I really liked the experience that I had on my initial visit. I was late and the office staff was so nice. Dr Lee was extremely nice and informative. I had moles removed and the individual who numbed the area was very caring and knew when I needed a rest from the injections. I was scared about going but I am glad I chose her.

  30. Have been a patient of Dr. Clark Ray for a couple of years. Have had no extended waits I considered out of line. The ladies at the sign in desk have always been friendly and helpful. The nurses and assistants when I’m called back are …

  31. My low rating is for the doctor, not the staff. The ladies at the desk are lovely, and my interactions with nurses has always been positive. My complaints are with Dr. Amy Bono. I probably could have had warmer interactions with a robot. …

  32. My overall experience over several years has not been good. Just there because of my doctor but that will change as they don’t accept my medicare advantage insurer, Aetna.

  33. This clinic asked for payment upfront. This is not compliant with the health insurance contract that I have for my health plan. I am shocked that I had to pay for my office visit prior to seeing he doctor, when in fact I have insurance and …

  34. This one star is not for the specific OBGYN doctor, it’s specifically for Heritage Medical. My OBGYN doctor recently switched to this group. When I found out she was headed over here, I instantly looked at reviews and after looking at them …

  35. So my Mom has been trying for 3 weeks to get an appointment with her endocrinologist since she went to the ER with a blood sugar that was 400. She’s yet to get a phone call back. They’ve been totally non-responsive.

  36. I have recently been referred to Heritage in the 22nd Ave. location for specialists in Rheumatology and Ophthalmology because of a very rare autoimmune disease. I have been nothing but pleased with the experience. The staff has been …

  37. My wife is 7+ months pregnant with a high risk pregnancy. Her OB is Dr. Martin. Heritage medical forced us to prepay for the cost of the birth. We are on a fixed income and getting that much money was difficult but we were able to do it. We …

  38. The doctor’s are knowledgeable, and very nice staff. Of all the complaints I am seeing, I don’t think people realize their issues are actually insurance issues and billing issues. Talk to the building manager, the doctors and staff have no …

  39. Today my wife and I had an appointment and they called and left a voicemail for my wife that our appointment was cancelled because we are on Tenncare. The problem is, we’ve been on my company insurance for over a year and a half and have …

  40. Laid off of my job, told them I has no insurance, but agreed to a cash amount. They then charged me the insurance rate. I check non insurance to get an MRI it is between 500 and 800, not 1600. My whole experience not just this is horrible. If I could 0 stars I would. Stay away.

  41. This office has major issues with calling patients back regarding appointments. I’ve called during the weekdays at several different times and cannot get them to pick up the phone. When I finally reached someone, she said she would be in …

  42. If you set up a payment plan make sure to keep track of when you have paid off your balance and call the billing office. They need to manually cancel the plan or you will continue to be charged…..not sure why it doesn’t automatically stop when the account balance is zero.

  43. I would give a zero rating if it let me. My husband has been a patient here for several years but hen his health turned for the worst they did not care. all this office cares about is MONEY! My husband has had 2 brain surgeries and due to …

  44. I was sent here due to fibroids by my PCP. Dr. Joy Cox has a very bad bedside manner, all she talked about how good she was at surgery. She didn’t try to educate me about fibroids, show empathy or anything to make me comfortable with HER …

  45. I have been a patient with Heritage for almost 5 years and I used to see them for everything. I really liked doing everything at one place and I liked all my doctors. Dr. Anne Rossell was my gynecologist at the time and one day due to …

  46. I have been at Heritage Medical for years now, and I have had great experiences with all my doctors: Dr. Karen Larson, Dr. Mary Frances Kerr, and Dr. George D. Wright. I am glad that all my information is shared between them to take better care of me.

  47. Was referred by my sons pediatrician to see an Allergist there. I’m so glad she did. Awesome personality, very caring, attentive and we felt listened to. Not really sure about the reviews below but our experience was quite opposite …

  48. It is always incredibly hard to find a number or the correct number to call. Additionally, my doctor left and I was never transferred to a new doctor so apparently I have no primary care doctor currently. This end my relationship with Heritage Medical.

  49. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! MY ALLERGIST ROCKS!!!! I go here for my allergist Dr. Jennifer Ker. I have been with her for about 5 years now and choose to drive from Clarksville just to keep her! I have been the healthiest I have ever been thanks to …

  50. My dermatologist Kristen Stirling was phenomenal. The front desk staff and back office staff were polite, courteous and accommodating. I travel nearly 3 hours to be seen by Heritage medical Associates and it was worth the trip. I totally recommend this practice.

  51. I have seen Dr Gandi for 10 years. I can tell you she always gets back with me sometimes an hour or by the next morning and my refill is at the pharmacy. Whenever I have had any questions I have always been treated with respect and honor. I haven’t ever had a problem with this group. They really are professionals.

  52. I started with heritage at the beginning of my pregnancy then had to switch at 20 weeks. Dr. Lipsitz was nice. It was not the doctors or nurses but the front desk and the billing department. …

  53. Doctor was great, front desk person (there’s only one) was great. Nobody EVER answers the phone, so when I had to call and cancel, apparently they didn’t get the message, or they did and chose to ignore it and charged me for missed …

  54. I came back today and have to say everyone was great. Smiling, happy, interacting great with patients. I am changing my review from the 1 to a 5. Thanks to all on the staff. …

  55. I never write a negative review about a Doctor or a hospital but Dr. Hardin at Heritage Medical might be one of the shadiest and unprofessional doctors I’ve ever been to. He proceeded on doing a quick procedure on a bump I had on my thumb. …

  56. My daughter’s pediatrician recently became a member of Heritage medical. We are switching insurance and need pediatric records sent to FB health plans. I tried for 3 weeks to have this records department send her records. Took all of the …

  57. I called to see if I could find a primary care doctor here since I just moved from Indianapolis, IN. I need an annual check-up and prescriptions that I need to continue here in Nashville. The appointment scheduler was extremely rude. She …

  58. Very disappointed that I was told my doctor or Heritage does not accept cash/self-pay. Just lost my insurance because it was super expensive and I fell behind. I will have new insurance after 30 more days at my new job, but was told my …

  59. This was my first visit to this facility. I went to Dr. Rossell for an IUD removal and a new one installed. I liked the relaxed and straight forward demeanor of Dr. Rossell, and was impressed that the procedure was amazingly efficient. I …

  60. Struggling with the dermatology office staff. A simple prescription has turned into a four day endeavor. First, they sent it to a pharmacy not in my file that I have no relationship with and didn’t ask me, second they didn’t send the …

  61. My doctor is awesome & I’m So thankful to have him manage my healthcare. I’ve been a nurse for 20 yrs, so I’m around doctors all the time and I know some are better than others. I am truly grateful that I have one of the best doctors that I …

  62. I’ve contemplated writing a review for a physician at the Nashville Heritage Medical Center for over nine months. I hesitate to publish a negative comment because it is not my intention to judge anyone’s character or motives. However, I …

  63. Super disappointing experience this morning – The GP team apparently doesn’t count that you are being seen by specialists WITHIN the same practice towards your continuing patient status. The whole reason we selected Heritage is for the multipractice availability.

  64. Initially had a positive experience with this medical group year ago when they first diagnosed my condition. Recently, I was told they would no longer be able to offer refills on my prescription until I came back in a saw Dr. ******* …

  65. I haven’t been lucky with the medical professionals in the past. Because of this I hate going to the dr and always feel like I’m going to be judged! I had put off an issue until it really needed to be addressed. After my appointment today …

  66. I’ve never been a big fan of going to the doctor and have neglected to find a provider for years. My experience with Heritage has been nothing short of spectacular. Between Dr. McKean and Dr. Stevens, the level of care provided is …

  67. Great doctors but they are the most money hungry medical group I have ever seen. You can make your payment every month but if you are 1 day late they will call you threatening to send you to collections!! I pay my bills to them all the time …

HE has a wonderful staff..So helpful ,smiles and make you feel better..Kindness
goes a long way..Hats off to his Staff..love each and everyone one of them…

  69. I think the Doctor should sit in the lobby and in the waiting rooms and also have to be responsible for the transportation of a patient after a procedure and really get the full experience of dealing with their front office staff, who are …

  70. SO IMPRESSED! Dr. Grand was so helpful, and took me and my concerns seriously! I really felt treated with respect, dignity, and honor. I just moved to the area and have been looking to get established somewhere, and I am so thankful I discovered this office. 10/10!

  71. Make an appointment here if you want to wait for an entire hour before anyone even speaks to you. This has happened every single appointment. Specifically in the dermatology office. I also asked if docs could recommend any diet …

  72. This practice is unprofessional, deceitful and rude. I went to see Dr Brothers in January. Paid my copay and called numerous times to see if there was an outstanding balance in February and the months to follow. I never once received a bill …

  73. I have never been so poorly treated by a staff than at Heritage Medical. I have been lied to and manipulated by multiple staff members and when calling today and after I gave my name to the “child” on the phone they laughed at me. After …

  74. First time patient with Dr. Snow (endocrinology) and was nervous after reading some of the reviews for the facility.
My experience from checking in to seeing Dr. Snow was positive. The front desk staff were helpful and polite. Dr. Snow and his staff were amazing and put my mind at ease.

  75. Doctors are great, but the organization is too big to provide personalized care. Too many people working, so the “right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.” Their employees need to brush up on their soft skills. Patients need …
