The worst hospital experience I have ever been through staff was horribly rude and didn’t check on us for atleast 2 hours , it is dirty and very old . Would never recommend anyone going here ever.
Front office staff not very helpful. I called three times and could not get through. I got transferred to non working numbers. I am very disappointed with the service at this facility.
“PEOPLE CENTER” Holy Cross Hospital is not a hospital ( IT IS A SUPER PEOPLE CARE CENTER ) AWESOME … WOW !!! SUPER GREAT !!! GREAT MEDICAL SERVICE, GREAT ATTENTIVE PEOPLE, EVERYONE !!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!
Worst experience in a hospital. This hospital is infamous for being un professional and disorganized. Go to espanola stay away from Taos. Especially in Emergency or labor situations
Unbelievably rude staff… both Dr and nurses… would not listen… blew off what we said we thought was needed… in the end did exactly what was asked ..Dr was soooooo rude , and condescending… took hours to even get anything started… can’t stress enough how bad dr was
I was treated with kindness and respect when I had a minor heart attack. They explained what they were doing and why. They loaned me a cell phone charger.
Pleasantly surprised and more then satisfied with my experiences here, both in and outpatient . Courteous professional service. Our small community is lucky to have them.
Rude staff. Me Having serious breathing problems and still i Waited in the waiting room for 5 hours then told I could go home because they said there was nothing wrong with me. Worst treatment I’ve ever had. You’re seriously wasting your time in this place.

Went in for a blood test on 8/26/ 21 at 8:00 am same old incompetence by staff. Been waiting over an hour and still waiting was told they would be with you soon. Right! This place makes me sick
The wait was terrible. We were there on December 30th for over 5 hrs. Very disappointed in the treatment my husband received. No communication. We would have left but we needed answers and was not sure where there was other medical treatment available.
Called early this morning with a number of questions rather out of left field, was treated well and had my concerns met expertly with a professional demeanor. I feel comfortable with the apparent level of competence of the staff.
I spent 3 days in ICU and the care I received was superior. I have worked in the health care field and I feel the ❤ care I had received here was equal to the care I would have received in Albuquerque or Santa Fe.
This place feels magical, and that is totally because of the art and healing mentality. I’ve never been so welcomed into a kind way of life as a woman before such as this, I’ve been fed the most wholesome nutritious foods, plentiful …
EVERYONE was kind, thoughtful and competent. I’ve never had a nicer hospital experience, both in the ER and after being admitted. Did I say everyone? EVERYONE! Thank you Holy Cross.
Everyone I came in contact with was above average friendly and kind. My shot was the easiest and most painless ever! This was at sagebrush. Pretty efficient as well.
I recently went to the ER with my 2 month old son. He received excellent care from the moment we walked in. Everyone went above and beyond for both my son and myself. Thank you so much!
Majority of nurses are mediocre at best. Few are top notch. Late night ER doctor was a jerk, and care after that was utter garbage. And where are most of the doctors??? It’s like there are no doctors working there but maybe one at a time. …

I received my Covid vaccinations courtesy of Holy Cross. Organized, friendly and great nurses! I expect that being a patient in the facility would be the same.
I wish I didn’t even have to give them one star. Being chronically I’ll is hard enough by itself, but this hospital is the worst. Just take my advice and dive south to Santa Fe or Albuquerque, you would still be sitting in the waiting room …

The ER? 3 times I’ve had to go straight from HCH ER to Espanola Pres (highly recommend). 2 of those times I was admitted to the other hospital. Giving the one star for the few who still care.

I’d give them a zero if possible. Even if its a life or death emergency I’d recommend driving to Espanola or Santa Fe. That’s how bad this hospital is. I’m not exaggerating. Should be called the unholy cross.

I witnessed the emergency room workers show no concern to emergencies happening. One example of many this day was a lady having a heart attack in the waiting room was told 5 hrs to triage her. No sympathy or concern for the preservation of life.
Since 2014, I have had 4 orthopedic procedures at Holy Cross. Most recently, in August 2020 I had my left shoulder procedure by Dr. Guttmann. Each of my procedures were very successful. The staff at Holy Cross has always been …

While on vacation in Red River my husband had a medical emergency. We arrived at Holy Cross ER to find that he was suffering from a Kidney Stone. Everyone that was involved in his stay here were professional and caring. Thank you so much for your help.
Unbelievable how poor the communication is with this hospital between departments. Trying to get pricing for X-ray and billing says they can’t give me price but radiology can, but radiology does not answer phone and voicemail is full. The attendant at drive through Taco Bell is more competent than these people!

Truly the nicest staff I could imagine. From the very start, signing in to the discharge, everyone was friendly, professional and worked well as a team. The day surgery is excellent.
Navigating BeWellNM’s website to get health insurance would’ve been impossible without Theresa Noedel. How she manages to answer every call and respond to every need is a superhuman feat. She never loses her cool or her concentration and she always follows through. We are so very lucky to have her.

Very nice and on point with care.
WORST ER EVER!! DRIVE TO ESPANOLA!
Place is an absolute joke needs to be shut down
Inefficient system. Staff have very poor communication skills.
Stephanie in Mammogram, EXCELLENT! CARING AND WONDERFUL!
The nurses in the icu were great when I was there.
Very professional and organized… thank you for this community service!
A disgrace to the community. Corrupt to the core. Hiding the truth and operating from a place of deceit.
The waiting to be seen at the ER is obscene.
Good doctors and nurses but they don’t always get it right.
It depends it ok sometimes but I am still not comfortable with trusting them with my life!
Drive to Espanola you’ll be better off.
Had two surgeries, exception service, great surgeons, hope I don’t have to have another surgery, but if I do, I’ll be back.
Very well organized and professional. Made getting the vaccine very easy.
They have your safety and health as their priority. They are prompt and provide great services. Wonderful staff.

The physical therapy department is top notch with a dozen or so therapists and assistants. After sustaining multiple injuries in a fall, I’ve been a patient now for almost 10 months 1-2 times a week. I’ve made progress every day with …
This hospital is nasty. My aunt was there the last 2 days ago and she told us one of the nurses there was so hateful to her. It seem like all the doctors there want some kind of say with the pills she is taking they all want to prescribe …
Friendly, courteous and comforting staff and RNs. Came in for palpitations, was taken back quickly, assessed promptly and was seen within an hour by the physician. Overall pleasant experience for an ER visit.
I had a total Knee replacement performed here on 10/07/16. The care was absolutely wonderful. The surgeon (Dr. Marvel) from Taos Orthopedic Institute was not only incredibly competent but also has a warm, caring, bedside manner. Dr. Marvel …
Too often people are quick to complain about care and treatment. I commend the staff for the care and treatment I experienced on a recent emergency room visit and overnight stay at Holy Cross Hospital. I was camping in Red River and had …
Our adult daughter recently fell and broke her arm while skiing. The ER team was compassionate and professional in their care for her. They attended to her injury but also to her emotions. They were calming and reassuring that as a young …
They put my family member on the ventilator, gave her heavy sedatives, instead of giving her alternative treatments. This is an outdated protocol. She walked in. Alert. Interacting with others. 6 days later she died. They killed her! Do not …
Never in my life have i been treated so bad by a ER doc in my life. This Female Er doc came in screaming at me we have a problem i told her let me go and get me a wheel chair. Hour and half till ortho got there begging to leave.. Animals dont get treated this bad. All over me not having the covid vaccine.. That place should be closed
A few months ago, I went to Holy Cross because I had hit my head and was worried I might have a concussion. I was in the waiting room for over 3 hours, watching everyone who had come in after me go in before me. No one would tell me why I …
I was in town on vacation and had to get my appendix removed all of a sudden. I was at the hospital at noon and out before seven that night. I received a covid test, cat scan, IV, a diagnosis and a surgery all in that time. The nurses were …
Amazing staff. From triage to emergency appendectomy to the overnight staff, everyone was extremely kind and professional. The anesthesiologist hung out with me while we waited for surgery. Super nice guy. Every nurse was kind, thorough, …
I recently had both Pfizer shots at the Sage Brush Convention Center, hosted by Holy Cross, and was highly impressed by how well organized and friendly the whole event was. The staff were actually beyond friendly – they were kind and helpful, not to mention competent. Thank you Holy Cross!
Worst hospital in all of New Mexico! I went in for chest pains because I thought I was having a heart attack and they made me wait an HOUR before a doctor saw and assessed me, and another hour before she came back to talk to me about my …
I received excellent care both in the Emergency Room and while in the hospital for a Non-COVID emergency for six days on the Surgical floor. The doctors, nurses and CNA’s were very attentive and professional. It was a stressful time due to …
I witnessed the emergency room workers show no concern to emergencies happening.
The staff at Holy Cross has always been …
Horrible. Social worker lied to my mother in law and I regarding my wife. From what my wife told me she lied to her as well. I’d give it a zero if I could. Many people in the Taos area including myself drive to the hospital 50 miles away in …
We brought my Dad, who is 87 years of age, to the emergency room and the day we were there the ER waiting area was empty so that was nice. An RN was in the waiting area about 7-8 minutes after we filled out the paperwork and the employees …
I have been incorrectly billed 3 times by Holy Cross for an ER visit that was covered by my insurance. My insurance even showed me records of them paying it. Each time I received the bill I was told by Holy Cross and my insurance that it …
This place is a joke! I’ve never seen such incompetence! I got up early so I could be seen without waiting to long. When I first went in the nurse up front tried to force me to provide information that legally I don’t have to give. Went in …

Our only saving grace was the nurses that helped us last night. They were kind and understanding and made our son and my wife feel comfortable.
The doctor on the other hand was cold, rude and condescending to my wife. Our …
I was admitted for a total knee replacement. The first nurse was great and very pleasant! Then I was taken back for surgery prep and these two ladies were fabulous as well. I then had a myriad of people come and go and that was fine. …
I’ve had several mammograms and an ultrasound here. Everyone in the radiology department has always treated me with absolute respect and kindness. All of the mammogram technician ladies have just been the best. They are so kind and caring …
Is not good service in emergency room. I understand hospital is busy but this nurse is so bad. Yelling and yelling so other nurse tell her to stop yelling. I in waiting room almost 1 hr take me inside to check signs send me to one …

I have had MRIs in the radiology department at Holy Cross four times in the last two years. The radiology technicians are excellent. However, what is the point of having a top-notch MRI if it never reaches the surgeon who needs to see it? …
Honestly don’t waste your time. They’ll let you sit forever only to “treat” you and everyone else like your very real problems aren’t problems. If they aren’t belittling you themselves workers will let coworkers make you feel like sht. Take …
Truly the nicest staff I could imagine.
I had an appointment to speak to Theresa Noedel , Benefit Navigation Coordinator in Taos NM, this appointment was made through BeWellNM. She called me at appointment time and I phoned her back within 3 minutes (I was on the other line), …
