Illinois Valley Community Hospital Reviews ( 56 )

  1. (Translated by Google) Better than the hospitals in Spain I was on a trip from Utah to New York on Interstate 80 and I stopped for an impressive toothache, without knowing English I asked for help and they helped me in everything they …

  2. Ok for one what you all did to the workers there is disgusting ok. However the emergency room doctors are beyond mean. A indian gentleman (didn’t tell me his name) took me at 2am after a seizure. All he did was yell at me for taking Xanax. …

  3. I am currently sitting in the emergency waiting room for 7 hrs. The receptionist keeps saying they are swarmed and the rooms are filled I’ve only seen 2 patients leave out the emergency room. Would not recommend for emergencies

  4. They acted as if we were a bother when we had gotten hit by a truck on the 3rd of July at 10:36 pm. I know next time I will request st Margret’s for me and my family.

  5. If I could give this place a 0 I would.. this is literally the worst hospital I’ve ever been to in my entire life.. unprofessional nurses and lazy doctors.. people in the waiting room for literally hours.. there was a man in there before us …

  6. Just passing through. Stop here for an ER visit, they were very professional, caring, efficient and friendly.
From Triag, registration, ER doctor, CT scan , radiology reading, to the discharge nurse, all by very professional people.
    Thanks.

  7. Horrible experience ever! Been waiting over two hours with a toddler who is running a 101.5 fever, with no nurses or anyone even trying to acknowledging his barking cough.. Could’ve gotten better treatment in the city of Aurora

  8. My son started to feel ill while we were camping at Starved Rock. I brought him to the ER at IVCH. They took great care of him and I was very impressed by both the doctors and the nursing staff. The camping trip wasn’t so great, but my son is felling better now!

  9. Over the years I have been in most of the hospitals in the area. Most are ok. If given the I choice I would take IVCH over any or all of them. IVCH has the best doctors and the best nurses available. Maybe occasionally you feel like …

  10. I waited 3 and 1/2 hours for a 15 minute procedure that was pre scheduled. One operating room that Dr’s share!! One anathesiologist!! I like all my Dr’s who are affiliated with IVCH. Staff and nurses are great. The wait today was very frustrating to say the least.

  11. IVCH is a terrible place to go. Rude staffing, unorganized, an treat patients like lab-rats. I’d suggest going out of town and not recommend this place to anyone at all. I would give this hospital a ZERO rating instead of 1 star.

  12. The worst place to ever go my mother in law is still there has been for 4 days and we’ve been trying to get her transfered since yesterday and there saying the hospitals in il all of them are closed and that there are no available rooms. …

  13. The E.R. Staff was great. Very happy with the thoroughness of the staff from cleaning personnel to the doctors. Very happy with Dr. Goldberg. Their job is not easy and gets probably more scrutinized than any other industry.

  14. WARNING: The PATIENT ENTRANCE is ONLY at the Emergency Entrance Door. They NEED to put Signs on the building or in the yard. The only signs are on the doors which states EMPLOYEE ENTRANCE ONLY. The transition from being IVCH to SMHP is …

  15. Had a planned csection and tubal scheduled, however went into labor a day early. On call doctor didn’t read my chart and didn’t do my tubal. Had to wait over six weeks to go back for tubal due to being on blood thinners and recovering from …

  16. Went for a mammogram the person doing it ( Cheryl) I think that was her name was very rude and talked down to you. Wasn’t asked to use the sanitizer, was told you will use the sanitizer. Asked you questions and when you answered was told …

  17. My son was taken to the ER via ambulance on 05/26/18. He received sub-par care. He was involved in an incident with his girlfriend which prompted them both to be transported. My son only received a urine test in the 4 hours that he was …

  18. I had my anatomy ultrasound here. Not a great experience at all. The tech seemed extremely uninterested and was not enthused at all. Wasn’t friendly in any way, and didn’t make the experience enjoyable. The whole time she kept commenting on …

  19. 5 stars is underrated. Had a kidney stone removed by Dr. Steve Chung, (which I would recommend to anyone who thinks they have a kidney stone or any bladder issues) The night before I was in excruciating pain so he was able to admit me into …

  20. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My 6 month old baby was admitted for RSV. Instead of putting oxygen on her, they told me to hold a cup that they had stuck the oxygen tubing in over her nose and mouth. But this isn’t the worst. During the …

  21. I have been trying to pay a bill, that is apparently late, for a week now. I have left voicemails with the billing branch, several different numbers might I add, because the operator wasn’t sure who could help. I do not blame the operator. …

  22. Guadalupe at the entrance was the most rude and unqualified person to greet people at an any entrance, that I had ever met.
She should either be retrained or removed.
    Rude and ignorant.

  23. This place is the most despicable example of a hospital and should be closed. The 3rd floor nursing station staff are the rudest people I have ever encountered. The hospital has been given the health care power of attorney 7 times in one …

  24. Tiffany is VERY rude and disrespectful. She told me “maybe if I would stop talking I would treat you”. They dismissed me with an oxygen level at 91 and sent me home with NO medicine. I drove straight to Spring Valley and they sent me …

  25. Type one diabetic for 30 years (with multiple complications from diabetes ) was admitted to the hospital for repeated vomiting and unable to keep down food or liquids. Was discharged two days later against the patients request- even though …

  26. St. Margaret’s has great Doctors and Nurses. They take time to listen and r very caring.
They have a top notch computer records system that has your med history, …

  27. Just like they advertise there is a short wait to see the medical staff. All of the staff, receptionist, nurses, nurse practioners, and doctor were kind, competent, and professional.
I was very pleased with my treatment.

  28. Guadalupe at the emergency entrance is a real B:@;@. shes a person with some sort of trouble taking it out in people as they enter this hospital….. as my daughter and a friend and myself where going in to see a patient on the 3rd floor she …

  29. I am currently 9 months pregnant and have been in and out of the labor and delivery and they have been really nice too me and have taken such great care of me and can’t wait too deliver my baby with them!

  30. This hospital is horrible my bf was there and while anxious and being prepared for transportation to another hospital I needed to tell him that he was okay to come home because he thought he wasn’t which made him more anxious. I asked the …

  31. my review is specifically related to the ER doctor (Dr Jerome Martin & staff.. zero bedside manner, zero communication & ZERO EMPATHY!! I went to ER after a fall and excruciating pain! xrays showed 4 broken ribs and puncture in lung. I …

  32. Used them 5 years ago the the CPAP and number settings worked great. My power cord went out and they said I had to make an appointment before they’d help me get another because I hadn’t seen the doctor in 3 years. No need, but I said ok. …

  33. Other than allyssa, who was one of the nurses on the ob floor, all of the staff here was extremely rude. The emergency room sent us away 3 times before we got any help at all, and the only reason we got any help at all was because our …

  34. If I could put no stars I would put no stars. The receptionists are ridiculous when I was in labor they were talking about eating McDonald’s. I just went there to get my daughter blood work. And they were extremely rude to me asked me about …
