Hopkins is amazing. From the kind fun and friendly security guard who gave my six year old son a fist bump at 5:30 AM when we got here to the amazing surgeons and medical care team that cared for him before, during and after his tonsillectomy, this place has been absolute tops.
Every one at the emergency room area was good workers and informative, they moved me on Nelson 8 tm 845 they all was nice and helpful but the emergency room has an all-star who do the Covid-19 testing and I am so sorry I didn’t get her name

Wish I could give zero stars….Patient First and Express Care HAVE BETER follow up. My father was impatient for a month–when he left NOT ONE PERSON followed up or provided support or guidance.

All I can say is Hopkins not that good they need improve lots of thing’s main thing. They need to improve Hopkins ER . It’s seem they still can’t get it right. The long wait time it’s crazy how people have to wait . treat people and talk to patients like they are nothing. They need to do better that’s rea truth !
They sent my daughter home from the hospital and had to be readmitted twice, once after treating her for sepsis. She eventually died a few weeks later. Why they sent her home after being diagnosed with sepsis is a mystery to me. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to anyone with a critical illness
They took great care of my mother in their lung cancer department. All staff members worked together as a team to help her. They also took her in less than five minutes. I’m thankful for Hopkins and their professionalism.
I went to get a test done at a doctor’s office and started having chest pauns so I had to go to emergency room. They told me it was a 6hr waitbefore seeing the doctor. It was 26 people in front of me waiting for a bed. It doesnt matter if youbhave chest pains or not. Don’t go to this hospital

Got here promptly at 9 am for a 10 am appt for our son who is seeing Dr. Lam. It is now 11:45 and we haven’t seen anyone as of yet. Seems they are either overwhelmed or very unorganized to care for or let alone see their patients. Very dissapointing.
I was at Hopkins for a week following aortic valve replacement. The nurses were great. The Drs that performed my surgery were fantastic. I would recommend Hopkins for any serious cardiac treatment.

They are ready and willing to do surgery but when it comes to follow up such as chemotherapy, radiation and physical therapy…they are very busy and there is no availability. My brother lives an hour away from there and they sent over hospice at this point. Get a local doctor with time and patience!
Everyone has attitude especially security team. They think they are police officers. On Saturday I went there with my son due to a seizure and when I went to the front desk, instead of calling for help they took their time and asked …
The neurosurgery department is beyond comparison. My wife had an aneurism on her brain. For Doctor Tamargo and the rest of the staff (nurses, lab and all others) hats off; they are terrific! One year later and totally clear. If you have a life-threatening problem, don’t even bother to go anywhere else.

They have some of the best doctors in the world here. I had nothing but amazing care before, during, and after my back surgery. In addition, the child life specialists kept the activities flowing throughout my recovery process.
My 14yo daughter recently had to under go surgery at Hopkins. I hate to name any staff or dept as it would make one seem better than the other. TOP NOTCH staff and facility!!! From the pre-op staff, to surgical staff, to recovery nurse, to …

Sat in the er for 9 hrs and never got seen. What’s the point in a emergency room if you aren’t gonna be treated like a emergency? And I still didn’t get the proper treatment. I was sick as a dog and it didn’t seem to matter to anyone. Health care has Turned into all dollars and cents I kno where not to go next time I ever get sick.

The wait in this hospital is completely unreasonable. Typical er visit is 10 plus hours, totally ridiculous. Staff may be ok but you should never have to be waiting so long if your sick or injured. Hopkins needs to step it up .

Waste of time coming to this hospital. They’ll say they’re going to assist you but make you wait 4 hours. A person could be dead within those four hours and they’d only notice cause of the people going around checking blood pressures.
Brought a friend for a test, appointment was for 9 am. Arrived early to complete paperwork. Still has not had test and it is 2:30. told it would be another 2 hours to wait for the test. If you are that far behind, reschedule, as not all patients are local. we have a 2 hour drive home.

Quality care at it’s finest. Emergency Department was clean, & staff were courteous, & helpful. A special note if thanks to my providers, nurses, & assistants . I do realize I may have been unpleasant due to my condition, please forgive me. Thank you for your patience, & standards of excellence.
Great Doc. N Nurses. Radiation building no one can go in except patient n there’s no sitting area. Only restrooms. The Chemo building they welcome quest of patients to come in n sit while waiting for patients. Lot’s of different buildings.
A year ago today my experience began. Being diagnosed with chronic heart failure i was transported from Frederick., Md to John’s Hopkins. Nurses, and staff were professional and very caring. Even the vampires who woke me up every two hours to draw blood were excellent. I can’t praise them enough.
Our son received cancer care on the solid tumor unit at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. There was no communication about our son’s condition between health care providers, the patient, or the family. Our loved one’s medical …

John’s Hopkins is highly overrated in my opinion. The rheumatologist I went to suggested I take a nap as a solution to my chronic illness. It was insulting and discouraging. Then they coded the visit as inpatient instead of what it was …

So disappointing.

When I was 6 years old, in 2003, I had pneumonia and my left lung collapsed. I was very close to death, from what my parents told me, but the pediatric doctors saved my life. I was there for over a week and they made me feel so comfortable and special, that I didn’t want to leave. That I remember, and will never forget.
Unfortunately the ranking of this hospital did not translate into the real deal. There is NO continuity of care. A collaborative approach is non-existent and although everyone was pleasant enough, their lack of thinking “outside of the box” …
One of the worst hospitals you could go to! If I could give a zero I would. Literally feels like I’m having a miscarriage and been in this hospital for hours waiting in the waiting. Nobody came and told me anything and haven’t even been registered yet. They really do not care about people of color.
I have been to just about every hospital ER south of Baltimore. I can honestly say I hope to never be back you your facility. You boast having 67 rooms but it seemed as if everyone was being treated in the waiting room. Then fast service …
The staff here is the best I have seen. The nurses truly care about their patience.
The rooms are clean and the food is good. …
I like the doctors but very unhappy with billing practices. I got a specialized blood test done for which they charged $4699. This amount was paid by insurance and me. Then they sent an additional bill for!$ 2955 with no explanation one …
We had some great and sore experiences at John Hopkins children urology center. Went in for a very stressful 7-8 hour appointment with my 3 month old kid. My and I were both really stressed and we both knew this a invasive and painful test …

Horrible. My relative is currently waiting in the ER and has been there for over 8 hours. In severe pain and no one is actively trying to address the issue. This hospital is a disgrace and I can’t wait to be able to do more research on who to complain to. I’m definitely not letting this go.

I’ve accompanied someone who had surgery there years ago and I recently made an inquiry to set up an appointment for myself and both times the people who work there (non-medical staff) are incredibly rude. The hospital has a great name but the people are terrible.
We have been in the emergency waiting room for 6 hours. Still waiting for the cleaning crew to clean a room so we can meet with the staff to discuss the lab results. The hospital needs to hire more people to clean or hire people who can …
It was very important that I provide feedback regarding my stay at Johns Hopkins. Let me start by saying my soon to be daughter in law referred me to Dr. Chowdhury with the GI dept. for my UC. On 1/8/21 I had a video visit with Dr. …
Emergency room is the worst. Not only do you have to wait HOURS. They waiting area is SMALL. I came for chest pains and numbness in my right arm and had to stand up because there were no seats. The receptionist was also rude to people and no empathy. I had to leave
I have been sitting here for 8 hours waiting to see a doctor or be placed in a room,, EKG has been done, chest xray has been done,, 8 hours looking at the same 30 people waiting to be seen or placed in a room . This hospital might been famous world wide for a lot of things but one of them is not emergency room efficiency.
Best hospital ever! The hospital is clean, the staff is friendly, and my neurosurgeon successfully performed a craniotomy that saved my life.
Spending time as a patient in the neuro unit with the creme de la creme of docs/nurses/techs in the world. The food is that of a hospital but the treatment is otherworldly. You can tell there is a culture of excellence in care, all the …
Best hospital in Maryland. Worth the wait. Nurses and doctors are the best on the east coast. I wish I knew the name of the young lady who volunteers in the adult emergency department with books and beverages. She was so kind and …

12 hours waiting to see a doctor in ER. 12 hours! Still waiting. If you need emergency help, avoid Hopkins Hospital at all costs. Go to Mercy, GBMC or even Medstar is better. Absolute disgrace this is considered a top healthcare facility. Shameful.
Hospital management is top to bottom disaster with no care for patients. It’s a money making business where value of life means nothing. Avoid!
Thank you for taking such amazing care of my daughter and I. When one hospital failed us and sent my daughter home with a skull fracture a blood on her brain you stepped in and took care of us. You restored our faith in doctors and the …

Heavely overwhelmed, and drastically understaffed. Aside from the ridiculous wait times, care quality is still an 8/10
Good medical care, but the distance from building to building is often too long and too much like a maze…Staff is very pleasant and helpful.
I had spinal surgery in November and can’t say enough about the staff. I had read some of the reviews posted and had some reservations, especially since I would be by myself due to the covid restrictions with visitors, but any reservations …
I had 2 stents placed in my heart on 6/7/2022. I was treated by Dr. Peter V. Johnstone, whom I have already reviewed. What I want to do here is celebrate the nurses and the PA who treated me in the Bloomberg Tower, 5 South. I was in …

The worst ever. Drop my husband off to ER At 12:30 pm. 8:40 pm he is still sitting in the ER & has not seen a Dr yet😢. This ER use to be awesome but not anymore. Half the staff is rude & they definitely don’t care. Mercy or Good Samaritan is 💯 % better. Definitely learned my lesson …

Received excellent care from Ji Young Buethe, M.D. for pelvic embolization.
As great as most of the staff was, the experience of working in such a place was only marred by the treatment of upper management. They are akin to teens in high school who wish to gossip and spread rumors. Overall making a genuinely nice …
This is supposed to be “the best hospital in the world” People that live in Baltimore know this is far from true. You’ll die before getting seen in the emergency room. I’ve sat for over 24 Hours once. Also I have personally watched …
This place is a death sentence. Apparently when your life is on the line is when these idiots decide to use you as a guinea pig for their “experimental drugs”. It makes me wonder just how many people have died at this place due to the …

Some scammers are using your hospital name and collect money whos Mr James black of this hospital they take my money by using your name +27740540127 from this nb they take my money i m sending you fake documents also.
Great hospital, but need anti-inflammatory diet food choices for patients instead of a 1 diet fit all approach to healthcare.
Amazing staff. The nurses are really nice and made me feel at home.
My father was there last month and he was well taken care of they constantly checked his blood and did cat scans. Definitely a 👍👍 …

This place goes against the HIPPA law starting at the front door. I have overheard the nurses discussing patients with other staff. I personally heard the transport staff joking about me when they thought i was still out from anesthesia. Disrespectful all the way around.
Good place to go, clean and well maintained. Easy excess.
Dr. and stuff very professional
Recommended for anybody who needs medical assistance

One of the worst hospitals – they force people who have anaphylaxis to the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine to not only continue to take them and then demand you have written documentation present, even if you are traveling out of state.
A former Johns Hopkins Hospital food service worker says he was retaliated against and later fired after complaining to managers about broken appliances and unsanitary conditions in the aging kitchen where he worked. It’s likely the same …

It’s a great hospital but waiting over 14 hours without seeing a doctor in waiting area , is terrible. The emergency room some nurses and stuff not compassionate, and helpful . They ignore patient ….. horrible
Unfortunately I don’t have a very good review for John Hopkins! I drove 46 miles from Frederick Md to Baltimore for a disappointing first experience. If I had to give them a grade from From A to F, they would get an F minus. Their Emergency …

This is the worst hospital and the nurses are rude and nasty.Whenever I ask questions I would get vague answers. Some of the rooms and bathrooms are very tiny. The atmosphere doesn’t feel warm and safe. Especially in the cancer center of the hospital. I don’t see what’s so special about this hospital.
On Monday, Sept 12th at 4:15pm in the Meyer building I ran into the most unfriendly and unhelpful security at the front desk. I arrived with ministerial creditentials to visit a patient that was transferred from another hospital which I was …

My sister had a kidney transplant Saturday afternoon. She’s doing well, going home today 10/27/22. Very nice staff, doctors, pharmacist, we had a lovely experience. Only got 4 stars cause they don’t validate.
Rude, uncaring, unloving, unsympathetic, staff. What’s the point of being in a hospital to work for when you don’t wanna care to listen to the patient and what’s going on, you’re just assuming? The fact that you have to go through security …
A family member is a patient there. Excellent care on cardiac units. Dr. Berger and team top notch. Cardiac procedure reception staff and nurses wonderful. Also fantastic neurosurgery department.
One star because there is no negative star. Worst experience in a waiting room of a supposedly well renowned hospital. Where to start? In a time of epidemics, the waiting room is sardines packed. The facilities are far from being sparkling …
My daughter delivered here because she was considered high risk because she suffers from chronic hypertension. The nursing staff and doctors were excellent from start to finish. Everyone was so responsive and attentive to her needs. Her delivery went smoothly and I’m so grateful for the excellent treatment she received.
