Lackawanna Valley Dermatology Associates Reviews ( 43 )

  1. I have had a great experience with Dr. Severs and his staff. I also have friends who have been going to him for many years and have nothing but great things to say about him and the results they have realized after treatments.

  2. I’ve been a patient here for years and always had a positive experience. My only recommendation is that your registration/ check in area is moved for privacy purposes.

  3. Went in for a removal and was offered a biopsy charges were not explained or mentioned. No payment taken at time of visit. Charged by a separate office for biopsy and received a large bill for office visit and “New Patient” Charge almost 2 months after visit and initial payment.

  4. Extremely incompetent ! Waited 2 months for an appointment and they never called to remind me. I called the next day and they told me the next available appointment is in a month. I want to get a fully body screen I could have cancer! What the hell is wrong with these morons?!!

  5. I made an appointment a few weeks in advance, only to have it cancelled the morning of. After rescheduling later in the week, they cancelled a second time. When trying to reschedule they said I would have to wait a few weeks. I was …

  6. If you want to be treated as rudely as possible, try to get an appointment at either their Scranton or Kingston offices. This unacceptable behavior is a reflection of the top administrators and doctors. If they knew how badly patients …

  7. Totally insensitive, cold-blooded practice. Told to return if a cancerous lesion opened up, did so immediately upon occurrence, and then, while present in the waiting room, turned away (even though I was willing to wait all day) because I …

  8. Called today to tell them my blood work script was never received. Most businesses might say, “Okay, let me send a copy today” or “Let me email a copy to you”. Instead the young woman responded: “I mailed it on the 17th”. I guess my …

  9. I recently moved to the area and needed a new dermatologist. This office came highly recommended by several friends. Several visits with no improvement on a re-occurring condition I’ve had successfully treated with other dermatologists. …

  10. Three years ago I went to see about a sore on my nose that wasn’t healing. The first doctor just froze the spot. After a few months the sore started again. I went to another doctor at LVDA and he took a shallow biopsy and was told that …

  11. My dermatology provider is Ms. Vescovi. She is very professional, very thorough, very respectful and explains what she is doing in understandable terms. She listens well to my concerns and seems to care about me as a person. I highly recommend her.

  12. Had appointment with Megan Cawley . She was very friendly and professional went out of her way to resolve my issues. Would highly recommend. No rush explained everything and was very understanding.

  13. I couldn’t get an appointment immediately for a concerning facial infection so I had to see my former dermatologist in the Lehigh Valley. When I did get an appointment with Dr. Suchter, he was kind, considerate, thorough and informative. …

  14. When I called to schedule an appt. for a wart removal and overall body check (I have a history of skin cancer), I was told I would have to make two separate appts. I told the scheduler that I’ve seen other dermatologists without that being …

  15. I was there with my husband who was very anxious about his appointment. Despite great hesitation I got him an appointment with Gina within 2 weeks. We showed up at the office 20 minutes before our appt time and were taken back within 5 …

  16. My experiences with Lackawanna Dermatology have been very positive. They had me doing phototherapy in the office, then they helped me get a light unit of my own that was covered by insurance. Now I just go in for an annual checkup. Usually I see Physician’s Assistant Casey Vescovi, she is great.

  17. This practice is uninterested in providing good patient care. My husband has a hard time remembering and understanding what he is told. When I asked to speak with the physician assistant at the end of the visit or receive a phone call …

  18. Very busy practice that keeps expanding and the staff may need to grow to keep up. The billing department is very efficient but the doctors themselves have cancelled on me several times. Appointments are booked months in advance, which is …

  19. I called to make an appointment in June and the first available was Dec. 20. So now in October they called and cancelled that appt.and the first available appt. is now March. How ridiculous. I could die from melanoma by then!!!!!

  20. It started out ok I was told to bring 500$ cash to the office, plus my insurance. I was treated nicely by everyone including Dr Michael O’Donnell. Here’s where it goes bad at some point I received a letter in the mail for another 424.00 I …

  21. Been here 3 times and everything went great. I usually get there about 20 minutes before my appointment and each time they took me in either on time or slightly early. The exam rooms could use a new coat of paint.

  22. I saw the PA in June ,very nice and told me to call for appt and she’d squeeze me in for follow up appt. When I tried to get appt, the next available opening is May of next year! To get copy of your last office note, they charge 1.70 per page. Wow.

  23. Went here for treatment for eczema that I get randomly on my neck and face. Asked the doctor if I could just get a steroid cream because that has worked the best in the past. Dr. Marsilli said he wanted to find the cause. First initial …

  24. They are excellent at making sure your insurance is up to date, that is done by your appointment time. From there on, be prepared to wait in the waiting room, and wait some more in the exam room. This practice overbooks their patients and has no respect for your time. If you respect your own time, find another practice.
