The La Follette Utilities Board supplies electric power and water to residential and commercial customers and provides wastewater management services. The company is owned and operated by the City of La Follette, Tenn. It procures the electric power from the Tennessee Valley Authority and the water from Norris Lake. The rates for electric power and water are available on the company s Web site. Its facilities include a 5-million-gallon-per-day water and a 1.25-million-gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plants. The company implements energy efficiency programs in homes that include high-efficiency heating and lighting, double-pane windows and insulation. Additionally, the La Follette Utilities Board undertakes outdoor lighting projects for residential and commercial customers.

  10. Horrible customer service. They charge way to much for electricity and water. The insurance is a joke as well. Nice if you have a leak in the house, but it does not cover like they claim it does. Hope you don’t have to call over an outage, because they will be rude.

  11. Absolute criminals. If you are 1 minute late you are charged $100. Literally one minute. And you’re lied to about payments. No help and always attitudes when you’re behind. There needs to be another branch providing electricity to this area because this one is a cancer to the community.

  12. Good folks, but there’s no leeway. They WILL cut you off if you’re late on your payment. They do have assistance you can apply for, but it’s a 30-day process. Pay your bill on time.

  14. Very very unprofessional. Turned my electric off over 90$, just 90$. With no notice on the door, no nothing. Just did it, with no warning. And then when you call they’re full of excuses and just flat out rude and not helpful at all. Don’t care about anybody but themselves.

  18. They are always very helpful to me. I’m on oxygen 24/7 and when an outage happens they are very quick at getting it back on. I don’t have a portable concentrator so time on outages is very important to me. I want to thank all that help with outages!
