Lake Country Power Reviews ( 46 )

  1. Facilities charges on monthly bill are to cover a monthly drive by each address to inspect meters that are monitored by wifi… seems to me that these and other charges each month are above beyond excessive monthly power bill…

  2. I want to give a big shout out to all the hard-working men and women that work around-the-clock to get our homes and cabins turned back on when there’s a power outage! Some of these people work 24 hour shifts to make sure we have electricity! Thanks Lake Country for all the hard work that you do! You Rock!

  3. Rates will make you consider buying a house if its in lake county’s service area. Spend co-op money on extravagant luxurious building because its in YOUR best intrest. Would transfer to MPL in less than a second if given the opportunity.

  4. Way too long to restore power I don’t know the extent of outages but my experience with other power utilities was better. The map for the outages is very difficult to find your own location I reported my outage this morning and my id …

  5. They charge a service charge of $42 a month just to be hooked up to the system plus 10 to 13 cents a kilowatt for actual usage, depending on time of year. With taxes and everything it comes outto around 23 cents a kilowatt for a 500 kw a …

  6. We stopped in for a break in a 10 hour road trip. It was a little too crowded but it was a Sunday. The reviews said “great coffee” but it wasn’t. It was ok. The burger was great. The fish sandwich had tooi h breading. Our server was excellent!!!

  7. We own a small (700 Sq Ft) lake home in their service area, purchased fall 2018. We also own a larger home (5700 finished sq ft with unfinished basement) in the twin cities. Our power bill for 2-3 weekends per month is 2-3 times HIGHER than …

  8. Suppose I just miss the days you could talk to local people. And not be stuck on the phone for choosing options. But everyone needs power so you don’t have to be customer friendly.

  9. They just raised their cost per kwh to $0.15. Only supplier in area. Captive market. They’re a coop that does NOT pay cash capitol credits. Unlike other electrical coops in the region.

  10. I was very happy with my visit even though it wasn’t on my account. My dad and mother were entitled to a capital funds rebate from several years ago and the employees were helpful and courteous.

  11. If they tell you it’s showing that you have power at the meter and you need an electrician…not neccesarily so. Could have lost neutral on a pole somewhere, in which case you’re getting minimal power in the house. Brownout. Your house being like a trickle charger. Learned the hard way. Make them come out BEFORE the electrician!

  12. New subscriber June 1stGreat experience getting onboarded. Power outage 6-21-22. Website wire updates were ok but very hard to follow as to time of expected return. Could not locate an App available to help track progress. Suggest app …
