Contrary to the previous review, the water in Lakeway is of excellent quality. It tastes much better than the salty urine-like liquid they call tap water in houston. The Lake Travis water can get a musty odor when the lake is low but it still tastes great. The bigger issue here is the cost of water, it can get expensive.
Lakeway is a nice place to live but the water is expensive. They charge you basic pay without even drinking , taking a bath, flash the toilets. So if you live here you need to work hard to pay bills.
