  3. Had a leak at the meter site, water was streaming down the gutter at the curb. Texted with Jessica at helpline, got cut off, called customer service, was told how to check shut off at curb. Did so. A tech from lvvwd was at the site within the hour and all was resolved.
    Forever grateful.

  4. Agree with everyone else…place is a joke. Call for help? 30-minute wait and there is no option in this day and age for a callback…NOPE…ugh. MONOPOLY

  5. They have the worst automated phone and customer service ever. It’s embarrassing how bad it is, and it’s nearly impossible to reach an operator.

  6. Closed on Fridays !very bad I did not have water for the hall weekend!!!

  8. I have been passed to for the last past months every time I try to call it’s not possible to pay my bill by phone because what a district has a few with the polein it would be really nice if somebody can fix this issue because I am not willing to pay the late fees anymore

  9. Your automated system to pay your bill sucks! You can’t get thru to pay your bill…find a new developer to get the bugs out !
    Complete waste of time!

  10. Had a burst water supply line that caused my bill to triple month over month, but utility made no effort to adjust the bill after everything was repaired and buttoned back up.

  11. Thanks for NO help during this Government Shut down…. yes you won’t shut off our water but maybe just maybe you guys can help us with our bill, like a payment arrangement or something BUT NOOO.. thanks for nothing….

  12. All i want was you guys to come out to see if its you guys responsible or not. Why keep on pointing fingers and push the repair to someone selse. We pay our water bills every month and in return we cant get a little service. Contact me gor further questions

  13. they know you don’t have a choice, even their recording will hangup on you if you answer a question wrong by pushing 0. if you want to talk to a person it will be an hour wait and they will not be helpful at all. get ready to get upset.

  14. lowest Serggio Badge number 7427 …Should not be allowed to answer the telephone as he knows nothing about the water company or their billing procedures…. I got a bill from MY CHECK FREE for my water usage…… …

  15. The hold times are long. Get over it. The two times I called, the people I spoke with were very friendly and helpful which is great for people who work in a call center with non stop calls. I have no complaints.

  16. I really appreciate the representative, Summer, from the call center. Even there was a 30-minute hold on the phone call, I was out of frustration and calmed down by her manner of speaking. Very nice and helpful. Great customer service.

  17. These people and their “contractors” that tear up the streets and halfass their jobs have done this to our street more than 4 times in the last two years, they block traffic and obstruct people. They “repair” or “improve” …

  19. If i could give a ZERO star i would!
It says 20 min holding time but ive been on hold for 2 HOURS and NO ONE is picking up the phone to help me!! You guys getting my money but you guys couldn’t even give a better customer service.

  20. My experience with the LVVWD as a contractor has always been great. Their personnel are knowledgeable and friendly, and they are the most organized utility district I have ever seen or worked with.

  21. Be aware that a large pump and piping rental company named Rain for Rent will use the same pumps and piping for potable drinking water after pumping raw sewage and or industrial fluids. Just an FYI before your customers have a hepatitis outbreak

  22. Have a bone to pick. Was out capturing images of the street abutment landscaping. Just like every year for at least the past five years. I have images of the fallen Joshua Tree while it was still standing (all main site employees will …

  23. I called in hope of paying my bill over the phone. 3 times the automated service disconnected. they defiantly need help in communications. I think I’ll be heading in person to pay my bill. I need to see what kind of folks are working there!

  24. Twice on February 22, 2021 the water patrol drove passed my home with a combustion engine vehicle which is one of the causes of climate change that has impacted southern Nevada’s water supply. I demand that Las Vegas Water purchase non polluting cars for patrol and stop adding to the water crisis it is now policing.

  25. They are wonderful people the security by name Jesse, is very attentive, polite he go out of his way to make sure every body gets help I’ll said he have a lot of human kindness. Thank you water district for having Jesse in your work team!

  26. Jesse, with security at Las Vegas Valley water District, was very helpful and outgoing. I was trying to enter the lobby, but it was under construction, and Jesse helped me to use the phone and connect with an operator. Thanks Jesse!

  27. I report water waste as I ride around on my bike for exercise. They follow up with alleged abuser and with me. It’s important here in the desert and everywhere. TY

  28. Security guard, Jesse was very helpful and assisted in contacting a live person to start a new service. He went out of his way to assist us. Give the man a promotion.

  29. Do to covid I was unable to reach anyone on the phone so I went to the location. Jesse the security officer was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He assisted me in getting ahold of someone to help me set up my service. I’m very happy with the service I received even though they were closed.

  30. Some good people work there but management does not care about customers. If you call in after hours they will take you through every menu for 5 minutes before telling you they are closed! Disrespect level 9.

  31. Horrible Horrible Horrible Horrible Horrible. Spent 30 minutes at least to try to get through their voice menu and got hung up on more than several times. Erroneous check charge on my account. This is a Gestapo utility company who gladly …

  32. this water company is ridiculous. First you cannot get them on the phone as it is always busy. Second the automated service disconnects you every choice you make. No going back it just says Thank you for calling “Good Bye” Good luck

  33. Extremely long phone wait time. Never reached a rep. Tried to set up a payment account using my bank checking. Did not work. Then I tried a credit card. Same thing. I give up.

  34. God awful. You cannot create account online. Called customer service 8 times and was hung up on each time by the stupid automated system – you have to figure out the matrix just to get put on hold to talk to a regular person. What a nightmare. Come on LVVWD you can do better.

  35. Would give it a 0. They don’t deserve a 1. 20 minutes waiting to talk to a human. 30 seconds aanswer. Incompetent management . They don’t address this problem. Horrible annoying music to encourage you to hang up. They respond faster when you talk to a company in the Philippines or India. ..Not to mention their water police. ..

  36. Unable to reach a real person on the phone. It will just hang up on you.Tried several times and finally went to the office. Can’t see anyone in the office because of covid. Sent an email and the responding email says to call the office. Horrible service.

  37. Called in and was assisted by Cathy. I’ve called before, but this is the only time I truly felt that someone wanted to assist me. At first I did not get her name, I am a little hard of hearing and she kindly repeated her name when I asked. …

  38. Their phone support is absolutely awful. At one point it says “to repeat press 9” abd if you.press 9 it disconnects the call.

  39. One would think that a simple problem would come with simple solutions. Just moved to a new house and found that LVVWD had mispelled my name on the bill / main account holder. Its usually not a big deal and I can see how one can mistaken …

  40. I don’t know what everyone is whining about as far as online billing. I pay my bill online and it takes 20 seconds. One of the easiest bills to pay. Wait time on the phone can be long—just like any utility in a city of over 2 million people

  41. I went to drop off a BID that was due by 10 am to find out that the building was closed to the public due to Covid. The security Guard Jesse Vaca came up to see how he could help me he said it must be mailed in. however due to the fact …

  42. I can stop/start/move service online for cable, phone, power, and gas. But not water. They want you to call… then you’re on hold with a “20 minute” wait time. It’s 2019. Put this online and maybe you won’t have a million call backlog.

  43. A wow experience by Courtney, a phone agent. We had a mix up with our bill and service was interrupted. We paid on a Friday night via website. This way typically needs 48 business hours to process which we were not aware of 🙁 Courtney …

  44. They have world best customer service and must be awarded for it. They said that the service was turned on, but it was not but they will charge you extra money for immediate turn on. I have booked appointments with my handymen only for them …

  45. So I have no water and was told to pay 70 dollars to have it done today because they don’t have tech that work after 6pm or wait between 7 and 11 the next day now maybe I’m crazy but if techs don’t work past six than they obviously wouldn’t …

  46. I have lived in my home for 32 years never late on a water bill. This month my bill skyrocketed and I found a leak buried in the front yard. Called to ask if I could get some type of credit for the bill, maybe even 10% or 20 %, nope, not …

  47. I have been living in Las Vegas since 1993 and bought my house in 1996. I recently received a Water Waste notice. I met Robert who is a meter readier in my neighborhood. I let him know my concern and he said customer service and they my …

  49. It’s 2020 and you have to call to get any information on water usage….can check on their website or app….which they promote forever during your 30 min hold. But that’s if the phone line works…..it didn’t today morning. Wait 20 minutes …

  50. The people working here are a bunch of idiots. I called to set up service for the first time back in April. The man i spoke to said there was going to be a $171 deposit fee. Which was fine told him i could pay it, but i notice that in my …

  51. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Their automated phone system is a nightmare and good luck getting ahold of an actual human. I waited literally 30min on hold before giving up. They have messed up my billing for the …

  55. I have had service with LVVWD in the past and rarely had an issue. In light of COVID-19 setting up services has been extremely difficult as not only their call center but their kiosk does not offer customer support. In order to get to their …

  56. I moved to the Las Vegas valley in 1972 and have had service in my name since the mid 70’s. I’ve never missed a payment that I know of, I don’t even think I’ve ever had a late payment. Yet without warning they shut my water off with out …

  57. As of November 6th 2020 they are closed until March 2021, however you can still access the kiosks. If you need help with anything, their security guard Jesse is the sweetest, he will find a solution to any problem😄 I haven’t received my …

  60. I had a plumber come out to do a minor repair where he needed to shut the water off. He alerted me to a minor leak in the water main from the street to the meter, he said it was the responsibility of the water authority. I did the …

  61. Really?!! Not even a full 2 days late & these people are adding late fees!! Companies/people have become so greedy it’s ridiculous!! Why not send an automated reminder of our choosing so when life is beating us up & we forget our bill …

  62. The LVVWD made a repair at my home. The meter broke and the repair tech came to fix it. While doing so The repair tech BROKE the pipe on my side of the meter and had to remove the entire Meter to repair it. The LVVWD supplied the parts for …

  63. WATER should not be a profit based resource. Particularly in these times, we are conserving, converting landscape, and saving water whenever possible. The notion that stockholders looking for profit is disgusting.

  64. There was an underground leak that occurred on the property that caused water bills over $1k. This company said I did not qualify for their water leak program because it was after 90 days and the language was written on website but when I …

  65. Vincent claimed to be the only staff member available to speak to. I hung up and called back. He lied. He was also extremely rude in the way he communicated with my family, accusing us of not trying to pay a bill when we were actually trying to make a payment arrangement on that very call. Disgusting.

  66. Read all the reviews here! I have paid my water bill online and also at our local Smith’s market Service desk. Don’t know why anyone is on the phone for 45 minutes! Just pay your bills on time! I have spoken to LVVWD on the phone about …

  67. Worst costumer service, Been trying to contact them through the phone for days and no luck, waited and average of 1 hour each time and always same that all agents are busy helping other costumer, nothing but poor excuses.

  68. BEEN RECEIVING HIGH BILLS FROM THIS COMPANY SINCE MAY, AMOUNTING TO $215, $183, SAYING THAT WE HAVE A CONTINUOUS LEAK IN OUR HOUSE, THAT WE ARE “CONSUMING” 30 GALLONS OF WATER AN HOUR. RIDICULOUS! IF THAT IS TRUE, MY WHOLE HOUSE WOULD BE …

  69. The costumer service was very polite and helpful. Out of all the utility companies, the LV Water District was the only one who I could contact with one phone call. Wait time was 10 minutes. I cannot believe the bad reviews on here. Like the one who complained because water service was denied due to a delinquent bill.

  70. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Lady was laughing at me on the phone while i was explaining my situation, she said her name was Angelica but i feel it was a lie. I asked to speak to a supervisor because of how unprofessional she was being, and she …

  71. If I could give NO stars I would. They have the absolute worse customer service I have experienced. They sent me a bill for 3x my regular amount saying I have a water leak. They told me that 30,000 gallons (I think) ran through the meter …

  74. Why not help people get rid of their pool? I know famalies that want to but the cost is stoping them. Have to keep it full, would save refilling and refilling and topping off. Just asking. There is a lot of water in a pool.

  75. West coast is running out of water, LVVWD sends you reminders to be cautious about water wasting and report if you witness any water waste… I’ve been reporting water waste at my apartment complex the past 7-8 months now and nothing …

  76. Not sure how this company got the authority to stop water service when GOD gives water to all of humanity. Water is our birthright, no man should be able to take it away, however this company is treating our God given water like a privilege and that’s not fair to We The People.

  77. I tried to pay my water bill on November 4th online, and bill is due until November 7th. Apparently I am making my water bill in time, but for LVVWD is already late because my payment appears to be paid after November 7th, that is on November 8th, and it is a late payment. I am sure they will try to make me pay a late fee.

  78. Literally charge more than what the balance is. Say one thing on the phone, another online and don’t update their system when payments have been made so you pay more than what is actually owed. But they can because it’s not like you can …
