Back in 1949 George Milligan, a local air traffic controller, and many other caring residents of southern Oregon saw their friends and neighbors getting sick or injured and some even dying because they were not able to get advanced medical care quickly enough. Flying a patient to needed medical care was seen as a way to reduce transport times and so Mercy Flights was born as the first private, non-profit Air Ambulance service in the United States. The goal our founders set and our entire Staff, Management, and Board of Directors remains committed to remains the same: To have our thoroughly trained staff provide prompt, compassionate medical transports to local residents when they are in need.Caring Customer Service: Cindy Broadwater appreciates the value of Mercy Flights services. Her son was in a serious accident and was in extreme pain. Cindy was faced with urgent transportation decisions and the Mercy Flight team helped her stay calm and focused throughout.

I have waited a week for a return call from billing.
Living George Milligans legacy every day. Best ambulance drivers in the valley
My gratitude goes out to the Company and staff for the professionalism shown not only for the two separate life saving flights to the burn center and OHU, one in 2009 and one just last year, but ALSO for the ambulance rides that helped my condition. THANK YOU!
My daughter was flown to the children’s hospital in Portland through Mercy Flights. Everyone was amazing. THEY CARE!!! I will forever be grateful for the men and women who work for this company. THANK YOU!!!
Unexpected ambulance ride the other night. The two Mercy Flight employees Tanner and M.J. were fantastic. The cared and were so professional. Even after the ER lost some of the EKG results, I was able to get them from Mercy ‘Flights’ office in minutes. The office staff were super helpful as well. Great organization! Thank you!
Have used these guys a couple of times for ground transport to the emergency room in Medford for my mom in memory care and they are wonderful. Very lucky to have this local service as ems is a tough call sometimes. Will most likely sign her up for membership. Thank you for being there. Top notch.
A high praise to Mercy Fligh-t! I wish I could remember the names of those two young male flight nurses, the competent pilot and the other staff member working quietly in the background. They were terrific! I was in the best of professional β¦

The most professional staff throughout this entire organization. My young son and I have had to rely on Mercy Flights for ambulance, helicopter and fixed wing medical emergencies. Always greeted with professional, courteous, well trained, caring staff. You must get a lifetime membership!!!
My experience with Mercy Flights could not have been better. I needed to be transferred from Providence Medford to St. Luke’s Boise, ID, for a procedure that could not be done closer. The ambulance ride and the flight were both amazing. β¦
