Terrible communication. Loan office made many mistakes with my payment plan. Customer service is a joke and should really be trained better on how to deliver information correctly. Do not recommend. If I had a choice on where my student loans were kept, I WOULD NOT choose this office.

There are many negative reviews of Mohela, but of all the lenders I have had over the past 20 years, Mohela has caused the fewest issues. I have found their customer service helpful and straightforward. I recommend researching any loan holder you use.

Can’t reach them via their 888 number. After several minutes of prerecorded messages, followed by several more minutes of silence, I get disconnected. Happens again and again. Very foreboding, as this is my first-ever attempt to contact them about something I (and they?) will be dealing with for years to come.
Didn’t respond to my inquiries. Not pleased that FedLoans turfed my loans to a company that is under federal investigation. Would give zero stars if possible.
Be warned if you receive letters from this company requesting consolidation for your loans; as they are attempting to fraud you from the $20,000 relief by rolling your loan over into an account that does not qualify for forgiveness. They claim to be “a Federal Office for Department of Education” but they are not.
