Psych Associates of Maryland Reviews ( 51 )

  1. Absolutely disgusting staff!!! They keep not picking up, they’re rude, keeping switching you back and forth because they can’t figure out which one of them should be the one to help with a SIMPLE matter!!! Awful!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

  2. The staff was rude…they never wanted to handle anything and hung up on you if they got frustrated or annoyed (and that happens pretty fast. The wait was FOREVER sometimes 30 min to an HR!

  3. They don’t answer the phone, are unreliable, constantly switch patients with different doctors, are rude, and don’t do a thorough job. Do not go here unless it’s your only option.

  4. If their was a 0 y’all won that one worst doctor’s EVER they do nothing but lie to u get u there n then u get home n they write something wrong so u gotta go allllllllll the Way back y’all r messing with peoples psych it’s not right ur making it worse

  5. Left them and when I found a new psychiatrist I told her about my experience with them and she says that she’s heard a lot of bad things about them and that I should report them to the Better Business Bureau.

  6. Left work, waited 30 mins past my appointment… Left. Staff is friendly but the other review summed it up well ‘better service at Wal-Mart’. To anyone who respects their time I suggest finding a location that does as well.

  7. I got a $75 missed appointment fee on my bill, eventhough I cancelled it at the front desk,on the doctor’s private cell,as well as on Psyche Associate’s answering service for that doctor’s extension.

  8. I am so impressed and thankful for the level of concern and effort by Christine Barmoy, CRNP-PMH. She has provided resources, alternatives and dedication to helping us and our 17 year old navigate his mental health . Many of us with …

  9. I was Dr. V’s patient for 20 yrs. He Diagnosed and Treated me very well. I have been on the same medication’s for 15 yrs. Dr. V Retired then Dr. Krishna took over my care. Dr.. Krishna reviewed my 20 year history and carefully monitored …

  10. I was seeing Dr Malik who seemed personable and appeared to listen more than he talked. My wife saw another Dr there who was rude and unhelpful. She stopped going to him, and I continued to see Malik. After some minor side effects I was …

  11. For those of y’all looking for a psychiatrist, do NOT go to Psych Associates of MD in Towson! The staff is consistently rude, consistently deadnames and misgenders me despite me telling them I go by Samuel and he/him (I’m transgender), and …

  12. Dr. Malik refused to work with my neurologist to find an appropriate treatment that would work for both my psychiatric and neurological disorders. He made no effort to learn anything about my neurological disorder so that he could feel …

  13. I have no complaints. I come in, I talk to my doctor, get my script, and leave. I am not there to make friends with the people behind the desk, they do not need to treat me like the most important person in the world (and for the record, they have been perfectly nice every time I have dealt with them.)

  14. Dr. Elliot is amazing. Iv struggled with ADHD my whole life and she was able to put me on the perfect medicine and really turn things around. So having said that its gonna break my heart when I tell her this next appointment will be my last …

  15. If there was an option for zero stars, I would choose that. I have been seeing Dr. Krishna since he started there and every appointment has not only been a “try to get you out as fast as possible” feeling and most of the time, I get there …

  16. This place doesn’t even deserve a single star. From my appointments many years ago with a provider to my appointments recently with a new provider, it has been nothing but unpleasant and rude service. I have NEVER been seen on time, …

  17. I had been going here for about 5 years until today. I was supposed to switch doctors because mine recently moved to a new office… that was 5 months ago. I made an appointment with another doctor in the office, but was told it had to be …

  18. Having been in the medical field for more years then I care to admit,I have dealt with 100s of physicians. Some great doctors and not so great bedside manor and vise versa. When Dr V left I was really apprehensive about switching but I was …

  19. There should be a zero star option on here. Never have I ever dealt with such difficult front staff in my entire life. They’re the rudest people, do not have any patience/empathy for anyone, and don’t care at all about the doctors’ …

  20. I started seeing Joseph Bullock a month or so ago. I’m neutral to him, however the receptionist ot whatever title she wants to claim is trash. I called a few weeks ago to pick up a sample and the entire interaction was filled with her …

  21. Let me be clear: Dr. Borst is amazing and I love her. However, as stated in previous reviews, the staff is AWFUL. Literally, awful. They’re very rude and rarely answer the phone. Their voicemail clearly states, “please do not call over …

  22. If I could give this location stars for the providers alone, it would be a five star rating. My therapist and psychiatrist are wonderful, attentive and have taken very good care of me and they are the only thing tethering me to this …

  23. What a horrible office telephone system. So frustrating! It takes over 10-15 minutes and sometimes up to one-half hour to get thru to a live person just to make an appointment. If you have a problem, get prepared to spend at least one …

  24. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I don’t know how this place hasn’t been shut down. The office staff is AWFUL! They are extremely rude and not helpful at all. Dr. V is the worst doctor I’ve ever …

  25. Was referred to this place after my daughter spent time at Sheppard Pratt in Ellicott city Maryland. If I could have given them a zero I would have. Was referred to a physicians assistant and never told she wasn’t a psychiatrist. …

  26. I was nervous calling in because of the reviews of this office but I Called in and spoke with the sweetest girl, Alondra. I needed some information about the doctors office and if my insurance would be accepted. She handled me efficiently …

  27. I set my daughter up with an appointment through here. First appointment went well, the follow up appointment is where everything went completely disastrous. The follow up appointment was scheduled, we both went on through the telehealth …

  28. I have been going here for years now and no matter what doctor I see they all listen and understand my needs.
I live over an hour away, and it’s still worth the trip to see Dr. Malik. …

  29. Love Christine and Jean, they are amazing, intelligent women. Overall my experience has been positive and I feel listened to in my requests and boundaries with medications. I have seen dozens of mental health care professionals over the …

  30. If you need an actual psychiatrist, (an MD), this is not the place. They have only psychiatric nurse practitioners, no actual Doctors. We tried twice to see a real doctor, and both times assured that we would. But no. Being able to write …

  31. Dr. Elliot was amazing. I was deeply saddened when she moved on to another practice (of course very happy for her and her pursuit of her career). I was placed on a waiting list for another doctor at this practice and was never contacted …

  32. I have had an awful experience here. The doctor just throws medicine at me without knowing what the actual problem is. Most importantly, they have left me without medication for weeks twice. One was my antidepressant which left me wanting …

  33. Unfortunately I can only provide a review on my interactions with the woman who schedules the appointments, I’m not sure what her title is. I had to reschedule my initial first appointment due to a conflict and received a call the day prior …

  34. My experience was with Oluremi Adedapo. She was rude, dismissive, and straight up tried to gaslight me during my 2nd appointment. On my 3rd and last she ignored everything I was telling her about how severe my cptsd symptoms have been, and …

  35. To start this off, I love my psychiatrist. She is intelligent, listens to me, and is very well qualified to be in the position that she is. THE MANAGEMENT AND OFFICE STAFF ARE ATROCIOUS. …

  36. First off I’d like to say I’ve been with them for many years now. Ive had multiple people treat me and they all have been great. I feel like after the virus Psy Associates went down hill. …

  37. To put it simply: Everything awful that has been noted in various other reviews, is absolutely true. Providers are argumentive and dismissing, billing is a nightmare. When I moved in from seeing a provider at psych associates, I emailed and …
