My experience with UW-Milwaukee’s Study abroad program was absolutely terrible. I was discriminated for my age, sex, and gender, and because of those factors, was told I was not a good fit.
Just came here for a year and found quickly the poor teaching quality. There isnt much to do here and the school is surrounded by ghetto. There’s a reason it’s cheap and accepts almost anyone.

The Golda Meier library is a very valuable resource, open to any Wisconsin resident. If you want to check anything out, you have to get a very reasonably priced “friends of the library” card, but anyone can wander in and consult the databases and work in the stacks.

This is a pretty petty review, but its even more petty that they (UWM) dont allow you to keep and use your student email after graduation. Most schools and techs allow you to forever access that email even if you didn’t graduate from there.

It was move-in day and they had it down to a science. The only gripe was how slow the elevators were running, but that to be expected I guess.
Great Place to go for an education, but there is nothing to do around campus at night. The place looks like a ghost town on weekends and at night.
