I went to DBT therapy from April to May 2019. BOTH insurance cards were copied and were confirmed. I’m getting a bill FOUR MONTHS LATER that has several issues on it. First, the bill was not addressed to me. It was addressed to my mom. I’m …
Me and my wife had our daughter here a little over a year ago. Loved our doctor she was the most kind and professional person I had met there (Doctor Grogono). Now lets skip to the after birth. The nurses were rude as hell..if you dont …
I had to be seen at Seton Medical Center Austin for chest pains. The staff and physicians were incredible. Their prompt attention made all the difference in the world. The care I received was top notch and the staff took the time to answer my questions and concerns. The experience was as positive as a hospital trip can be.
My wife stayed in IMC for 6 days. The nurses here provided extraordinary care. The new wing is nice and clean. There were a few clinical assistance personnel needing some training on how to look at the big picture. I would come again if needed.
BEWARE!!!! Avoid going to this hospital. The medical costs are severely inflated. My son is a college student at UT and went to the ER for upper respiratory infection and asthma. He was given a breathing treatment and oxygen. When he was …
In very bad pain. Bruised ribs and Sprained back from basketball. Waited about 30-40 min and asked did they know how much longer it would be. She said she didn’t know. I was on lunch break so Ieft. Called back to charge nurse and he said …
Cost-to-service ratio in ER is unconscionable, and they give you no explanation of, or forewarning about, charges to patient or insurance company. I’d had Kaiser HMO coverage for 30 years, but had to switch when moving to Austin. My Blue …
Five star hospital all the way! I was there Halloween 2018 for knee surgery. I’ve been in a few hospitals in my time and Seton Hospital on 38th Street is the best. The nursing staff like Kent, Amy and Mary Beth on the orthopedics floor were …
It’s bad enough that I felt it necessary to go to the emergency room but then I am basically forced to have anything involving probing my vagina (which was the general area of concern/ pain) performed by a male because there were no women …
I went to the Seton Med. Ctr. ER late at night for a deep laceration. The staff was extremely friendly and competent. I was also amazed at how quickly they were able to get me taken care of. I had expected the visit to take 4+ hours but …
My room was dirty. The floor in the bathroom looked uncleaned for a while. Air vents had dried liquid, may have been blood. Doubts that bed and remote had been cleaned and sanitized. Housekeeping emptied trash and flushed toilet, was …
Facility in the hospital was so good. I had my delivery and all nurses, doctors and staff and all other services were very nice.
Problem is just with the billing department. Making me mad by sending bills …
My friend is here to have a surgery to clean out an infection from a surgery 2 was ago. We got here at 3:00 pm. It is now 8:30 and we have now been on the surgical prep area totally by ourselves for an hour. No one within shouting distance! Have they forgot us or what? Her surgery was scheduled for 6 pm!!!
ER was wonderful, but once they sent my mom to the 3North I couldn’t believe what I saw. The floor looked and acted like it was a Government run hospital. VA like. Too late, we are already admitted. She’s 91. Her bathroom smelled of urine. …
Went to visit an friend for an couple of days. The staffs are nice and helpful to guide you if you are first time.
My friend has an detailed and friendly consultation and support from the doctor …
Seton is for profit at least the two Seton facilities down here in Austin and now me from running on ice makers breaking running out of clean linen not having enough Staffing for busy times my medicines being delayed because the nurses are …
My 78 yr old father was admitted for congenital heart failure. While the cardio unit is great, the emergency room is ridiculously lacking in empathy and borderline mean. If the nurses did not have jobs at Seton ER, they would gladly take a …
4 stitches to my lip cost me $4036. $2831 billed by Seton and $1171 billed by the ER Dr. I visited the Seton emergency room on a Sunday night after suffering a facial laceration from a soccer collision. All ER parking spots were full, …
I’m currently on the 5th floor recovering from a surgery incision that became infected. The Dr’s, nurses, food staff, house keeping, and every single employee I’ve come into contact with have been nothing but helpful and willing to go out …
Rude , uncaring staff. Treat you like you are on trial. Hospital staff target harass and verbal assault certain patients who they feel can’t afford medication or treatment. Twice I’ve been here and treatment violated patient rights and …
I was taken here due to having a sever hemiplegic migraine attack (I’m also a stroke patient and have a very rare cerebrovascular disease). Initially everything was okay and the ER doctor was great. Unfortunately there was miscommunication …
The seton hospital chain is great on how they treat you but the number of bills sent from other providers and the fact they don’t share your insurance information means you get saddled with random, unknown bills and a lot of effort that …
The triage nurse Saterday night should try putting the phone down and do her job, as an RN myself I put my phone in my belongings and work, she plays games and roles her eyes when spoken to. Nursing care at its worst, put your phones away, you can play games at home!
Too bad you can’t request your ER doctor because if you could, I would highly recommend Dr. Daniel Jackson. I was in the ER on Thanksgiving Day of 2015 and again April 20, 2016. Both of these times I was fortunate to have Dr. Jackson as my …
Seton Medical Center saved my husband’s life when he had a stroke last month. I wanted to give a Daisy Award if a particular nurse or staff member stood out above the rest. But I have to say that we did not have one person that we came into …
My wife and I spent 10 days in the CCU and ICU while they cared for our adult daughter. We cannot state how much we came to appreciate, respect and love the entire medical staff at Seton. Especially Dr. John Hinze; respiratory therapist …
Wonderful caring staff. Emergency room wait time was reasonable. Thorough attention to my medical needs. Very positive experience. I hope to never have to visit again, but if I do, it will be here ❤
Every time I call the hospital the person, the nurse, or whoever I talk to is just beyond rude. I understand they’re probably working long hours because of Covid and everything but my loved one is in that hospital and I’m trying to get a …
The staffs and nurses were very kind and nice. They were so thoughtfully taking care of us when we were there. Due to COVID-19, they have been having extra screening for COVID and will have you check-in through your phone with free WiFi …
I received a call from my doctor’s office to come do an x-ray here and someone named Melissa called from the number that traces back to this location telling me my order was faxed in and to go ahead and come here to do the x-ray. When I got …
Highly recommend this hospital, doctors and staff. I am being released today after a emergency room admittance with a crazy quick moving infection. I have never been treated so well at any hospital ever. Every shift that came in was …
As of Monday, June 15, I had been sick with Covid symptoms for 12 days. I wound up in the ER at Seton on 38th St around Noon on the 15th, having been violently and relentlessly vomiting for hours that morning (to say nothing of the …
I was a Postpartum patient recently from May 8- May 13. There was a nurse name Martha that was so mean to me, she had me in a lot of tears, she was rude & one of my visitors witness it, which was horrible. I thought it was going to be nice …
Shocking treatment in the ER. literally spent over 8 hours in the ER, saw the doctor less than 5 minutes. I wasn’t even examined other than briefly touching my stomach in the hallway. Spent the entire time listening to the most …
I am following up from an earlier review of Seton NW emergency room. After many, many phone calls, I received my itemized bill from Seton for my son’s emergency room visit. He had the flu and required IV fluids and IV Advil. The cost of …
The reviews don’t lie, this was the worst care I’ve ever received. Came in for chest pain and dizziness and they didn’t take me serious at all. Doctor came in for less than 5 mins and never came back. A nurse came and told me I was good to …
Seton main on 38th st in austin does NOT deserve even 1 star. My dad was there on the 4th floor then got moved to icu 1st floor & they took his gold wedding band off him & “LOST” it. All they had to say is sorry we lost our dad in that …
I wanted to say that from my being admitted to being discharged the staff was kind and made me feel very cared for. I did have a bad IV that caused me a lot of pain but I always seem to have that problem and I do not blame them .Otherwise I …
Fiancee was showing signs of covid or flu, we have both had both shots. Went to the Doc-in-the-box at Mopac and William Cannon when they ran a covid test on her and then ran one on me. I was never a patient there but not they are chasing me …
Seton changed my husband’s medical records to cover up mistakes on their part. He went from being ready to leave to being on life support in ICU. He is very lucky he didn’t die. Their hospitalists are virtually MIA.
I have volunteered there over 10 years. I give my time and talent because I see their contribution to this community. Everyone gets treated like they matter no matter their background or ability to pay. When a veteran dies the doctors and …
I wanted to say thank you to all the staff in ICU and all the other staff on the 4th floor. Everyone was extremely kind and caring. They took the time to listen and give good feedback. They all seemed like they generally cared about me. …
This review is based solely on the billing department. I had a procedure done November 19th, 2020. Prior to the procedure I was told my co-pay would be $1050. I could not pay that so they had me set up a payment arrangement for 12 months at …
I will do my best Never to go to Seton again. The ONE time I don’t go to St. David’s. and I regret it beyond my ability to say. Doctors and nurses are fine. No problem, I thought they were excellent. But the Billing Dept. is incredibly …
I regret going here. The nurses were very unprofessional. The doctors were clueless. The only good part of my visit was the ct tech. He was very nice and explained everything to me thoroughly and made sure I was okay. In fact, the five minutes I was with him- was the most anyone spoke to me during my entire visit.
I do not recommend going to the Seton ER. They are woefully understaffed. I arrived five hours ago and have yet to see a doctor. Do not come here if you can avoid it. Next time I will go to St David’s or anywhere but here.
This place is a mixed bag. Had to go twice to the ER recently and the first time (a Saturday evening) the doctors, nurses and staff were genuinely empathetic, listened, and did the best they could to help me. The second time (a Sunday …
This has been my sister’s hospital for 8 years now. I myself have stayed here several times as has our brother. My sister is an L-VAD patient. All of us have heart disease. The employees are caring and professional. The best medical care anywhere.
The imaging staff is awful and emergency room staff even worse. The day of the initial imaging appointment Valarie calls to say we can’t do it today because we don’t have orders from the doctor (we waited hours to get this done. We …
I went here back in June of 2015. I am still traumatized from my experience going here. I came in for seizures and my doctor suddenly cutting all of my medications in half. They scanned my brain and said I was fine. Did not explain the …

Absolute worst customer service in billing. I’ve had to call 6+ times and every time but 1 they have disappointed me and shown how incompetent they are. They are robotic, they use a script and it does not have any of the answers. They …
On August 3 I took my husband in through emergency after he had been diagnosed with severe pneumonia. The emergency room staff were fast and efficient. The doctors, nurses and staff in the 4th floor ICU were incredible! I am extremely grateful for the care he received while he was there. They are
From start to finish was awesome, the care I received was 100 per cent. I can’t remember everyone’s name but I don’t have a negative thing to say about anyone. You guys are awesome, thank you for the excellent care.
I spent ten days in the hospital November, 2015. Everyone I came across was helpful, friendly and efficient. I had xrays, drain insertions, port placement and surgery and all worked well and the providers were very supportive. Although …
All were very professional but at the same time loving reasuring and kind..I went into surgery knowing I was in good hands..As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses the Hospital and Staff were very respecful and co-opertive with the bloodless surgery and all went as planned.

I have never met better people in my life as the people on the oncology floor. My son was transferred to them Sunday after being diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia. I was a basket case when we got there they got started on treatment …
I’m from out of state and my Medicaid covered my visit. The staff was quick, efficient, and super friendly!!! I wasn’t excited about having to go to the ER but they made my stay comfortable and happy. My total time spent there was about 3 hours. Where I’m from I would have been in the ER all day. Loved my nurses and my doctor.
I went to Seton Medical Center (38th street) for major outpatient surgery. It could not have gone better! This place runs like a well oiled machine. The staff is very well trained. The equipment and technology they have in place gives all …
I worked as a surgical nurse for 6 years and a hospital Social Worker for 10.
So I know a good thing when I see it. My wife just had surgery and was admitted. The level or professionalism, competence and caring was outstanding at every level. THank yhou.
I’ve always heard that nurses, doctors, medical professionals and those who care for us when we are ill are hero’s. But I never truly experienced the love, compassion and care they give day & night until this week staying at this hospital …
Awful experience with Seton – given a strep test without being informed (I didn’t have strep symptoms) and then charged $329 for an office visit that probably took 20 minutes (only 5 minutes with the actual doctor). In addition to $50 for …
I had a very good experience in their Outpatient Surgery Center. The staff were all very accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. Everything went well. I definitely recommend any Seton facility over a St David’s facility. My last few visits to St David’s were not good.
The nicest people in town, from the recepcionist to the specialists, all of they doing their best for you. Thanks a lot Ascension team for making not just the health but the pacients well been your top priority.
It was my first time giving birth and my OB delivers at this hospital. After the hospital tour we were satisfied with having to deliver at Seton. Labor and delivery rooms and staff were great which is why I give 2 stars– POST LABOR ROOMS …
My care at Seton was great! Everyone was attentive and friendly. From the admission staff to my surgeon, everyone explained the process, what to expect, and answered all of my questions. Thanks Seton!
Oh my god I have never had such a terrible experience trying to get scheduled. Explained my symptoms and gave my basic info to the first lady. She transferred me. Talked to a nurse (named Rosie I think?) practically yelled the entire time, …
I am new to Austin and needed to take my son to an ER. We brought him here and at first it was ok. The beginning of the visit registering went fine. Mind you my sons is 6 months. His arm was hurting and he wouldn’t move it or let us touch …
Once again I’m receiving bills after 7 months of giving birth. I should have reported you like my insurance company said to after discovering your staff never sent in the claim! I’m definitely reconsidering contacting the state health bored …
Some of the people are extremely rude, and I feel more like a bother than a patient they are caring for. I got admitted to the hospital and my nurses check up on me maybe twice a day, I called them probably around 40 minutes ago because I’m in severe pain and they still haven’t come to my room. Probably won’t be coming here again.
The unfortunate reality is that Seton a a large for profit corporate hospital that does not care about you, all it cares about is the money.
Recently I had a torn retina and had to have eye surgery. …
I received great care from everyone from registering to the nurses and doctors. Everyone was kind and caring and were very good at explaining everything that they were going to.do.
Thanks for your care.
Your Emergency Department needs a serious reality check. How can you preach about HIIPA standards when you have the audacity to run your mouth about your patients outside thier room. I’ve done clinicals in hospitals with this same kind of …
The nurse gave me 2 minutes to see him after open heart surgery then kicked me out of the room. My fiancé was here for Heart Surgery. After surgery we, the family, were called into the room to see him. Finally, you think, you get to see …
The care I received was awesome. Major back surgery that went beautifully thanks to Dr Geck and his staff and great care from the nurses and staff at hospital. OT and PT were great too! Only 1 snafoo I could complain about but I am sure …
Patient portal management is a disaster: emails telling me to “check my messages” lead to bad links (regardless of browser); suggested phone numbers lead to humans who tell you “I can only help with [something that is not my issue]; …
Actually, if i could, I’d rate this hospital-1000. DO NOT DELIVER YOUR BABY HERE. They are just awful. My on call OB, can’t remember her name, was terrible. She wasn’t my OB which i didn’t mind, but she would “guess” how dilated i was. My …

Saved my mother’s live. Provided attentive care and showed compassion. Her previous experience at St David’s was traumatic.
The whole team throughout Seton were simply the best. The staff here was far better equipped and had the tools to provide the care my mother needed.
We landed from South Florida last week, shortly thereafter my husband experienced medical problems. We ended up at Ascension Seton Hospital in Kyle, TX. I must confess from the moment we encountered the security officer, triage Er Nurse …

When you go there to have a procedure, they ask for your credit card and charge it right away. When you figure out THEY over charged you (by a lot), you have to call them yourself and they can only refund you with a check that they say …
This is MY hospital. The care is excellent and they always do what it takes to get me better ASAP. Unfortunately, the hospital is practically my second home but I will always come here. The 5th floor staff is awesome. Sarah is my favorite CA and Emma is an awesome nurse!
As far as I can see this is the beginning of the end of good health care as we know it. Never in my life have I felt so dismissed. Uncared for and thought of as a burden rather than an asset. Don’t kid yourself. You are merely a number and …
Came in on 11.18.2019 with excruciating pain in my abdomen , I was admitted into the ER soon and my nurses were great.
I then got back that surgery was needed so I was fully admitted to the hospital …

I recently had surgery here and the care was outstanding. I don’t do well with anesthesia and I came out incredibly nauseas and unable to be moved to a room. The nurses in the recovery area cared for me at a level I cannot begin to express. …
Well what can I say. Miserable horrible excuse of a hospital. Staff great. Billing policies and procedures abhorrent. They have zero care or compassion, and being a hospital you’d think they’d adopt policies that would allow for it. …
terrible service ignored my brother who needed 6 stitches for 3 hours who was bleeding out of his bandages told him to do it himself. Needed to go to another care center to ACTUALLY get medical attention. This place is atrocious.
My daughter was in ICU for 10 days. The staff were in her room asking how can I help you. What do you need, what are your goals for today. PT, OT and speech therapist (swallowing) were outstanding. Evening and day nurses were on top of …
It’s never fun to be in any hospital, but this place took good care of me! Most outstanding were the intensive care nurses. They are a special breed. Thank you,
Sure, I will put the Feedback right here. The Feedback is I was given a 2 hour clinical evaluation and approved to attend the PHP within 36 hours. I moved hundreds of dollars for rent to move to Austin for treatment and was overjoyed. The …
This hospital is the worse, I can’t even talk about the horrible experience that i had with my Son, I still have nightmares at night .the doctors are really rude please don’t take any of your family to this place …

I absolutely love the people that work there. Everyone was so nice and my surgery went well. I always go back to this hospital no matter what I need. Great people and great hospital. Great follow up also.
My dad was scheduled to be at the hospital at 10:00 am to get his outpatient surgery at 1:00pm. And he didn’t get his surgery done until 5:00pm and was on recovery for over 3 hours. He didn’t get out of day surgery until 8:00pm. All day without any food and he is diabetic. Very stressful experience for him.

I was recently rushed to this hospital and had a very good experience the whole way through. First, the paramedics had a great sense of humor and really made me feel calm throughout my confusion post concussion. Once I arrived to the ER the …
I don’t have insurance so my my surgery was canceled. I had to have it by Tuesday now a whole week went by and still nothing. I’m guessing this will never happen, my hand will never be re-alined and the hospital doesn’t care about the patients. It’s all about money. 😥 😔 …

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone. Charge nurse had no heart , showed lack of effort in helping patients. Overheard nurses make fun of other patients that were suffering. Take your loved ones elsewhere 🙏 …
So my mom was taken to the Seton the medical center at 38th to check on her heart because she’s in a fib and there’s no reason a doctor should question my mothers intentions. He acted as though She had done something wrong by coming to the …
Came in with a migraine and when the PA came in asking what works in the past. I gave her several medications that have in the past. All she had to do was look at my history. Gave me the same combination of meds that my pc gave me!! Which …
Went through triage fairly quick. Waited about 20-30 minutes before being taken to the back. Was seen quickly and treated. Friendly, helpful, & caring nurses. Overall I spent a couple of hours there and was released. Had to wear a face mask, and the waiting room had air purifiers.
Dr. Dooner performed emergency eye surgery at 8pm and all the nursing and fellow staff were wonderful. Got me in and out ASAP but never felt rushed. Very professional!
Our visit was timely and all the staff from doctors, nurses, radiology team, to security were amazingly professional, cordial, and down right nice. I don’t recommend going to the hospital but if you have to we’ve had a good experience here.
This is my 2nd time having hip replacement surgery at Seton. The staff is just the best! They have such a great system of keeping things moving along and letting your family know how things are going. I’ve been to several hospitals in the …
I saw my sister Trish yesterday in the ICU, Dr. John Hinez (pulmonologist) was there, I asked him how Trish was, he said she was really sick. I told him that we just lost our brother to Covid in May and I couldn’t believe we are here again. …
Just had our second child here since our OB is tied to this hospital. The facility is sufficient in labor and delivery. Three times in the unit with different scenarios every time, and all had no complications. …

I came to this hospital very very sick. I had been sick for a month and just gotten so bad. My experience at this hospital was as wonderful as it could be. All the staff worked hard to get to me all I asked for and were very attentive and …
Had a great experience. The only downside was when billing came. The gentleman made a few snide remarks that were unprofessional and unnecessary , but everyone else from the surgeon, to nursing, to anesthesia and so on were amazing.
I had my baby here 18 years ago (3/31/2003) and that was an amazing experience. Unfortunately, now I’m here dealing with an ill elderly father. This is our second time here in 3 weeks. Our first visit on 3/10/21 wasn’t so pleasant due to …
Do NOT visit if you are self pay. The staff here is lovely, but they charge $340.00 just for the appointment- that’s without any tests of any kind. I came in for a strep test and stayed about 20 minutes. You may as we’ll just go to your nearest ER because it will probably be the same price. This place is ridiculous.
I had a cesarean delivery in which my bladder was injured. A follow up was required to do a test to see if it’s healed or not. Today I received a call that they will have to wait for insurance response to see if that test is covered. How …
Staff were kind, patient, knowledgeable, and maybe even saved my life on the surgical table. They call every day to check in & have provided plenty of assistance to my questions. Thank you, Ascension Seton staff, Dr. Reichel, & my anesthesiologist!

I rarely write reviews. But, I wanted to share that I received excellent care while at Seton. From the business office to surgery, nursery were excellent. The care was amazing. Thank you to The staff at Seton Medical Center for taking care of me.
They made sure I knew who was going to be in the OR with me, what to expect and made me as comfortable as possible before surgery. They asked multiple times if I had questions. Best bedside manner I’ve ever experienced.
I actually didn’t want to put any stars but they made me put one to post it.The actual medical care was Awesome, but they did have the completely wrong breast to be examined and biopsy. When I arrived at 8 am I realized the mistake and the …
The ER here is infuriating. They wouldn’t let me go back with my girlfriend who was incoherent to help explain what was going on. I couldn’t even wait with her. I had to leave her alone in a wheelchair, sitting confused in the waiting area. …
I had a cabg x 3 here in January, dr.neely is an amazing surgeon, Dr tuan nguyen is a awesome cardiologist, and nurse Hailey on the 3rd floor is the best nurse at the hospital. Also nurse annalise, kelsey, and Michael in icu are all three great nurses and very good at their jobs. All around the best care in austin..
I was taken care of and prepped for my procedure in a very dignified and respectful manner. A visit by my surgeon..Dr Kosurek..was very reassuring. A special shout to my recovery room nurse..an Asian lady who was especially helpful with my Foley catheter placement. I wish I had taken note of her name.
THIS RATING IS DUE TO AN EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THE CHECK-IN PERSONNEL IN THE ER AT 7:00 pm CT ON NOVEMBER 2, 2021. THIS DOES NOT REFLECT THE CLINICAL STAFF AT ALL. (The clinical staff is awesome. They’re cheerful, seemingly knowledgeable, …

I’ve used the emergency services here more times than I care to count. Because of this, I feel qualified to review. When you arrive via ambulance, ER employees are ready for you. …
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hospital in my life. Dr. Dallas, Dr. Hines and Dr. Momin we’re dismissive and extremely unhelpful when I asked any questions. Dr. Hines even got sarcastic with me after I was in the ICU for …
Terrible labor and delivery! I had my birth plan all set up and no one cared to listen! They just want you in and out of L&D. Needed two epidural because the first one failed. There where student nurses entering my room any chance they got. …
I’ve recently been diagnosed with lung cancer and now biopsy of bones. This hospital looks like the Four Seasons Hotel in the lobby. I was told to be there at 6 am. I was taken to my room at 6:05. …
So efficient, courteous, and caring. I was in good hands every step of the way. Special thanks to Sharon in pre-op, Jacob in recovery, Sally and Katrina on 6 North, along with their team, including Alex, Andy and Katie from PT, Macy from …
Had a not so great experience with Seton Brain and Spine 8th floor Trinity location, who services the Medicaid indigent community. They are simply overwhelmed by the number of people they’re contracted to service.First off you can’t get …
I had a procedure done, and as always there were multiple bills. I was able to make arrangements but they sent the bill to collections anyway. In trying to resolve, it’s because Ascension outsources its billing to another company, who …
I have been admitted twice to Seton Main within the past month due to Hyperemesis Gravidarum. The staff from the ER to the room once I was admitted both times have been extremely kind to me. Everyone’s bedside manner has been exceptional. …
I was admitted here on my stay in Austin Texas (I live in Houston) and honestly I can’t say enough good things about the staff. From the nurses down to the cnas they were AMAZING! I can’t remember all their names but 2 nurses by the names …
They’re not doing walk through tours of labor and delivery unit right now so if you’ve never been to this hospital and have no idea what to look for or expect then you’re out of luck. If you’re someone that prefers to be prepared with as …
I was given a quote for my procedures and billed more than double what I was quoted. Every person that I have spoken to has said that they are unable to provide assistance and tried to direct me to someone else. I have been trying to get …
After an awful surgery my mom who is already a terminal cancer patient the nurses on her floor took it upon themselves to refuse to give her the ordered pain medication, for what reason I will never know. Last night she had no pain …
The absolute worst. The Triage Nurse was so rude to my mother. Then Dr wasn’t familiar with my condition he called someone and that someone wasn’t familiar with it either. I received no care at all. No paperwork or anything. The condition is called CRPS. Inhumane, humiliating, the worst.
I had an appt time at 9am with arrival time at 7am. I got there at6am they checked me right in then put me in a preop room for 3 hrs with no word from anyone. No instructions no idea what was next. They finally came in at 8:20am. Started iv …
This hospital needs a team of lab techs for patients. Some of the nurses are so busy and are not good at drawing labs. You have to get poked by several people some days. They can just hire the people that are good and do it every day so my nurse can focus on her work. I don’t like that.
During my wife’s surgery at your facility. She was assigned to the 5th floor. During her inpatient stay
she was very satisfied with the patient care given …
Very efficient check-in, with minimum wait for procedure. All staff at Seton are always great. The only issue I had was the intravenous needle was not in vein properly, so anesthetic would not go in and they had to re-do the needle. Don’t know how common this is, but it is the first time it happened to me.
I had a heart cath April 19, 2022.
I was placed in the lab into which I went into cardiac arrest back in 2019.
I was gone 20 minutes before I was brought back. I have always requested not to …
Horrible experience. The doctor broke my baby’s collarbone and no one told me. Rude, invasive, and disrespectful staff & social worker. My doula had to intervene repeatedly. New mothers deserve better. I have 4 children & this is my only negative birthing experience. Do not deliver your baby here!
Great hospital. So spacious and big, clean and modern. I love the friendly staff. Great team work. Great communication.
The only 2 complaints I have are: they require registration for each Sept …
The appointment was an outpatient surgery appt, with a check in at 12:45. We loved seeing the paintings depicting important historical events of Seton. One depicted welcoming the first patient of Seton; open arms reaching for the …
Seton covers up their mistake. I have one of there doctors confess they almost killed me from poor care, and now they want me to pay for their mistakes. STAY AWAY.Go to Baylor Scott White Hospital. Seton almost KILLED ME, and now they want me to pay the bill for there mistake.
I had a surgery there today. I’ve had several surgeries before and have never had the best service until today. The nurses were amazing before the OR Bobby so sweet and during the OR the team was great and after I wish I knew her name she …
At first, I was concerned when we arrived. And the receptionist at the Surgery Check In desk couldn’t locate our paperwork. But they didy find it fairly shortly after we arrived. And from that point on the care and compassion we received was fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for more.
I was admitted to the hospital on Friday the 28th of January, 2022 with unknown arm paralyses. I have received excellent care and treatment during my stay. The nurses have been very professional and respectful in assisting me with my …
This feedback is about their accounting/billing department. They sent me a bill on Jan 2022 for a small balance due on a surgery done in 2021. I contacted the insurance carrier who said they paid the amount in 7/21. They provided me with …
Should have given zero stars. So much for paid healthcare system. Terrible behavior from the staff. My husband was in the ER with chest pain and he was not attended till I was at the verge of losing him. Avoid this place. You are paying, you deserve better
Er staff is way more interested in getting to know eachother and talk about non work related topics than allowing patients to get some rest or piece and quiet between 2 and 5 am.
You know what they told my wife after multiple visits at both this location and the one in south Austin? “You just have to bear the pain, it’s only constipation.” …
I’d rather die. They have inattentive nurses. They have mia doctors. The nurses were on their phones for two hours instead of attending to me, I watched them. Then they complained even when I called them out for being on their phones while I sat in pain with two broken vertebrae. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU’RE HURT!!!!!
I went into the ER last night, Linda at the front desk wasn’t too professional. She was chatting with her colleague while taking care of me. Girl drama stuff ig, she barely paid attention to me. Everyone in triage was amazing. I got helped so fast, thanks guys!
Exceptional staff! Had a surgery today . it went amazingly well! Shout to Dr. Lan Hoang! Nice doctor. thank you for letting God Guide your hands,

Big Huge Shout Out To My Nurse Shonda she is absolutely amazing she got the ball rolling and if it was not for her we would still be sitting in the hospital waiting to have our son we had spent and entire week in this hospital which should …
This hospital emergency room is very incompetent. Never send your loved ones here. Very racist and rude zero stars for me. Our hospital system in Houston in the medical center is very professional with hospitality!
The person that discharged me had a bad demeanor. He Raised his voice and said I have been seen for the same problem before, which was true. But, does that mean I can’t get reassuring testing. Also, was transferred from Southwest like location and told there would not be a wait. I waited for 2 hours.
5 stars is simply not enough for the nurse’s caring for my mom in icu on the 4th floor. Daniel and Hannah have gone above and beyond in so many ways to make her comfortable and to keep her family posted thank you!
Excellent service. The workers show a great deal of professionalism. The environment is neatly kept. There is parking space for us. I will recommend this place for your medical care.
Awful place! I had to wait over 8 hours just to get out the waiting area. Then the desk ladies upfront gave extremely rude attitude when asking why it’s a long wait and how much wait we have left. I’m never coming back to this place. Had …
They are very attentive but do not have good manners with it. In every emergency times, they are delayed somehow! I don’t think it’s good for patients. Please keep the focus on patients as well. Good luck!
Same day surgery, not a good experience in general . Nursing and medical staff provided excellent care but the rest of the staff did not show compassion or desire to mitigate your stress. We need more human care!!
Living in the Covid era really is terrible. The triage nurses only test for Covid and flu no matter what symptoms you present. If you question their protocol, they become rude. No urine samples, no labs for symptoms that aren’t Covid or flu …
My experience with Ascension-Seton has Always been excellent. The wait time in the lobby is usually under 10 mins and seeing the doctor once I’m in the exam room,5-10 mins. Doctors and nurses are professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Had a nasty bike accident and went to the ER. Everyone was fantastic but someone who deserves recognition is Paul, an EMT in the ER. He spent a good amount of time helping me, dressing my wounds and just keeping my spirits up. I left as smiling as I could thanks to him and all of the great staff there.
Iv had spinal surgery on my L4,L-5, and S-1. I have a herniated disk on my S1 where I’ve had surgery and there’s scar tissue.. I also fell. I was treated like my back pain was not important.. I’m still in severe pain. I’m also afraid I’m …
I had a procedure done at Ascension Seton Medical Center located on Red River St and the staff was very professional, kind and caring. Far exceeded my expectations. Place was clean and customer service the best. Thank you for making me feel comfortable the whole way through. Wonderful staff.

I just had a surgical procedure here and I just had to say how good my experience was. The nurses and doctors have been absolutely amazing! They checked in often to make sure I was feeling alright and made sure to get me anything I might need. I’d be in a lot more pain from surgery if it weren’t for their help. Thank yall!!

Cost-to-service ratio in ER is unconscionable, and they give you no explanation of, or forewarning about, charges to patient or insurance company. I’d had Kaiser HMO coverage for 30 years, but had to switch when moving to Austin. My Blue …

Their labor and delivery staff was phenomenal! Our nurse Emma was so kind and attentive. She went beyond our expectations and we had a great delivery.
Too bad you can’t request your ER doctor because if you could, I would highly recommend Dr. Daniel Jackson. I was in the ER on Thanksgiving Day of 2015 and again April 20, 2016. Both of these times I was fortunate to have Dr. Jackson as my …

This hospital has to be one of the most poorly managed in the country.
My 19 year old daughter has been receiving monthly blood transfusions since she …
I do not recommend going to the Seton ER. They are woefully understaffed. I arrived five hours ago and have yet to see a doctor. Do not come here if you can avoid it. Next time I will go to St David’s or anywhere but here.
Surgery teams lack of communication with family of patients with lots of health problems is nonexistent.

My experience with Dr. John Stokes was excellent. He was able to find my problem and remove it laparoscopically. I would use him again if needed.
Delivering my kid the midwife, doctors, and nurses where great, especially Vanessa she was an angel!!! In really good disposition, Always willing to help.
Everything was great, since the moment we arrived, until we left, food was …
I have never met better people in my life as the people on the oncology floor.
5 stars for service, 1 star for billing procedures.
I was not impressed with the billing dept’s method to request payment upon our …
Once again I’m receiving bills after 7 months of giving birth.
Super unethical & greedy.
I was able to negotiate after an emergency room visit with my child with: the …
Cafeteria people are always so friendly! I visit here for work a few times a week and can always find a helpful face inside if I get lost
Your Emergency Department needs a serious reality check. How can you preach about HIIPA standards when you have the audacity to run your mouth about your patients outside thier room. I’ve done clinicals in hospitals with this same kind of …
Never again with This hospital. Been there several times for my mom, and this last time myself. Wait a long time for mediocre, rude “treatment”

I had surgery and spent the night in the hospital.
My experience at Seton Medical Center was first rate. The Doctors and nurses were amazing.

He has been there for a week and hasn’t had any bed changes yet!!!!
Sorry Nurse’s but help out!
The …

This is a revised post. I had one really bad experience with a person I believe is not representative of this establishment whatsoever after the excellent experience we’ve had with the entire staff in the Maternity Ward. Amazingly on the …

We had our first child, a baby girl, here on the 27th and I am appalled at the lies and jumbled confusion the labor and delivery nurses tried to feed us all the way up until we left. TOTAL LACK OF TRANSPARENCY! Who holds these people …
If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
I’ve been to several hospitals in the …
I’ve been using their service and treatment couple of times and always have amazing experience!
I saw my sister Trish yesterday in the ICU, Dr. John Hinez (pulmonologist) was there, I asked him how Trish was, he said she was really sick. I told him that we just lost our brother to Covid in May and I couldn’t believe we are here again. …
Great doctors, nurses and facilities. Nurses especially were very caring and friendly.
Just had our second child here since our OB is tied to this hospital. The facility is sufficient in labor and delivery. Three times in the unit with different scenarios every time, and all had no complications. …
all i’m gonna say is staff rude! I was here for 7 hours and only had someone come in 4 times my whole visit, nobody helped me much and i was here for a serious reason and should’ve been treated with care. They talk about patients and as i …
Had the worst experience giving birth here. Almost all the nurses were rude to me but there were maybe a couple nice nurses. The one nurse I had didn’t even know how to do an Iv. I was poked 5x and my hand swelled up with one of the …
I can’t say enough honestly about this hospital and their staff. I am here for my second shoulder replacement I had to have both of them done. The procedures are ran immaculately, the people are unbelievably out of this world. If you are …
I was told to come to Seton Medical Center after visiting an urgent care because they had found my jaw had been broken from a bad fall.
I was fine enough to speak and my jaw was not in pain. …
I had to check into the ER…I myself am an ER nurse, and to be at an ER on my day off was a freakin bummer. The nursing staff was busy, and still took quality care of me. They did not know I was an EDRN initially and I was still given …
Edited review to be 5-star after a week long stay at the hospital. Every single aspect from check-in to before the surgery to the recovery and the stay itself was wonderful. I requested the 7th floor after getting to know the nurses there – …
I came to this hospital very very sick.

I came into the Er on 08/13/2021 I was seen by Jamie Jones MD. My nurse was Summer. I love these two people. I was seen for heart palpitations, I’d already been to two hospitals prior to today for it. They gave me the attention I needed and …
I rarely write reviews.
So glad you asked! Don’t know what happened to this place. Had L hip joint replacement surgery 2 yrs ago. Scheduled R hip joint replacement for Mon 2/28. On Fri 2/26 get a call saying surgery off bc no asst surgeons scheduled for 2/28 …
I’ve used the emergency services here more times than I care to count.

I have been trying to get …
Extremely long waiting lines. Poor billing practices. Unnecessary CT scans (at least from my experience). Generally a place to avoid.

I just spent 9 days here after surgery and for treatment. The medical staff and nurses are excellent. If I could leave them a better rating, I would.
However the hospital is so old, needs updated, I would not recommend it. One of …
This was the best experience I have ever had in a hospital! All of the staff was amazing! From admission to surgery to discharge, the care was seamless. Pretty remarkable! Very loving caring and competent staff committed to making the …
I debated for awhile whether to give this place 2 or 3 stars. There were some good qualities but the bad outweighed the good so I went with two. …
Ascension Seton is high guality. The care I received is first rate from the doctors to the care staff providing daily care. I am truly thankful to Ascension Seton.
Maddie, Bradley, Dr Powers, Dr Epstein and Hailey were wonderful. Explanations were thorough, each gave time for questions and answers, Maddie called my husband by name each time she spoke to him. She was great at starting my IV and was …
Although I had to have surgery it was as good as it could be! The nurse who basically checked me into my bed in C3 put in an IV that basically left the tiniest mark you can make!!! Everyone was very helpful and attentive and made the …
I am Seton Ascension patient and although I have gone to different Seton hospitals according to my needs this particular one is one of my favorite. I am a disabled wheelchair bound senior and have multiple health problems. My main one being …
Not a frequent reviewer, but just want to counter all the 1-star reviews that aren’t representative of the staff here. I received excellent care for a surgery. Volunteers (Lauren) professionally prepped me step by step. Cynthia was a …
BEST hospital I have EVER stayed. They have Valet parking for patients who are having surgery. Very clean. ALL staff and doctors were amazing, very polite, serviceable, answered all your questions and just made it feel like home away from …

Had …
Hanna the RN was my first nurse and was so sweet ready to take any action when needed, she did amazing! The rest of my team was nice also 😊 …
They are very attentive but do not have good manners with it.
Anyone considering being admitted to Dell Seton Med Center UT please read this first. A couple weeks ago I had surgery and was in the hospital for a week. I will start by saying I have had several surgeries in various hospitals and have an …
The ER triage nurse Saul was extremely rude and dismissive. Berating my mother for coming back to the ER after being seen the day prior. Basically shooing her away. He hadn’t even taken her vitals and was telling the receptionist that he …
This hospital is cool it’s been around a while. This is where my first daughter was born and she came a couple months early so we spent a lot of time in the NICU. Because we live in Lago, we were blessed to stay in the Ronald McDonald …
Ascension seton preadmission testing department does not know how to correctly verify insurance prior to a scheduled surgery. My inpatient surgery was scheduled weeks in advance. I am not from the area and my family spent thousands to …
Had a nasty bike accident and went to the ER.
Faced with the fact that it is impossible to pay for their services with a credit card. Letters are sent about the debt, but the invoice is not included in the letter. Do not indicate the sixteen-digit code for payment in the letter. The …
Pretty terrible experience overall. I have cancer and have been treated in a half a dozen hospitals over the last year and a half. This hospital has to be the worst experience. I came in to the ER needing a CT scan and an MRI. I finally got …
I have never been so frustrated with a hospital’s patient portal & customer service. No one is able to help when I call the numbers that are provided are the error messages, nor can they provide anyone else to help. Baylor Scott & White is …
I just had a surgical procedure here and I just had to say how good my experience was. The nurses and doctors have been absolutely amazing! They checked in often to make sure I was feeling alright and made sure to get me anything I might need. I’d be in a lot more pain from surgery if it weren’t for their help. Thank yall!!
My 24 yo daughter came here for a large mass that was found in her abdomen. Dr. Medbery and her cardio thoracic team were professional, skilled, and focused on her complete care. The were equally focused on her recovery after the removal …
The service I received at Ascension Seton Medical Center at 1201 W 38th St in Austin, TX was the worst experience ever. I have been going to this hospital since I was born in 1971 and this is NOT the Seton our family has grown to love. I …
My family member has been going through very tough times with health and his last resort was to go to the ER. He waited for seven hours to be seen. He was finally seen and the doctors said that they could do absolutely nothing for him and …
#1- Why do I have to walk alone in the dark to a parking garage when I visit a sick love one? I understand the old garage is under construction but I don’t feel safe at night. …
Went to the ER with a massive kidney stone & kidney infection. Was left without any pain medicine for over 3 hours. Mind you, I mean 3 hours AFTER being seen by the Dr, receiving a CT scan & the Dr coming back in to share the results with …
Was brought into the ER pretty quickly when I had some bad chest pains that mimicked a heart attack. I knew that if I were to go to urgent care or call my primary, they would immediately say to go to the ER so I brought myself in out of an …
I have been to a few hospitals and undergone quite a few procedures, most have been good. However, I just had my bilateral hernia repaired yesterday at this hospital and it was easily the best experience I have had to date. I expressed my …
This place is horrible! First, they quoted me a price, and they later billed a different price. Second, I have an outpatient surgery, and the nurse was more eager to get me out of the hospital than care that I could not even get out from my …
This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I had hip surgery, the nurses at night were so mean. i did not get anything to eat for 2 days. I was cold , hungery and in pain. I had to go to the bathroom at 3 am. I called for help …
We had our first baby at Seton, but weren’t sure what to expect. It ended up being an amazing experience – every person we worked with was helpful and friendly. Everyone from nurses, house-keeping, food services, and especially the …
My mother comes here to visit Dr.Dallas very often. exceptional service. Friendly faces. Doctor’s and nurses who truly care. Lab techs who take there time. And who will not blow your arm with rushing.
