Counseling & mental health, Potomac Psychological Center, LLC
Potomac Psychological Center (PPC) opened its doors to the public in 2003 to meet the needs of the growing area. The current ownership has been … See more
While the practitioners have been great in my experience, the administration is severely lacking. They are not capable of billing with insurance efficiently, make errors on bills, do not answer the phone calls or return them, bill literally years after service, and generally make doing anything with them extremely difficult.
The therapist we see there is great. They don’t do reminder calls, and you do have to make sure you know their procedures, as the therapists and drs there are very busy, but I would reccomend.
I Was with them for the past 7 years….seems like a change in Managment or something occurred because the same care, empathy and support they used to have has been replaced with rudeness, no organization and general lack of care for human emotions. Stay away.
Extremely poor customer service. They have flat out lied to me on the phone regarding a prescription refill. I have been overcharged several times. The doctors and therapists are incompetent. I have had numerous scripts written that were …
Horrrrrible experience! My daughter went in to see Shelby Brownlee ( therapist ) only to be treated unprofessionally and rudely. Called my daughter a “smart ass”, and was condescending. Clearly, hates her job and doesn’t want to help …
Raysa, the front desk, is awesome – she is attentive, pays attention to detail, and proactive in helping patients. She has been very helpful all the time. She is quick on understanding the issue and it doesn’t take her long to resolve issues I have been facing. I really appreciate her help.
The practice’s billing department is a NIGHTMARE! Avoid at all costs! They overcharge and overkill for services that didn’t occur and will send you a bill months later!
(Updated review to reflect the massive improvement in office staff returning my calls etc and generally being all around kind and understanding people) …
I am another person that has had a horrible experience with Potomac Psychological center. I was seen by Shelby Brownlee. The front desk and billing department are BY FAR the worst I have ever encountered. There are so many other places to …
A friend of mine contacted this place for services, and was denied based on an answer to one of their screening questions. A generic cookie-cutter response was all she received, denying her services, without even a follow-up question to …
Wow I am not alone. The entire staff is incompetent, 100% true. This place is a money pit. In their eyes they can take advantage of you because of your mental illness. Not me, I just dumped them. If you need help, expect a call in 2 days. Watch out for the older lady on the phone. Who is running this place?
Twice I have tried to pursue psychiatric services with Potomac Psychological Center and both times I was turned away without so much as a generic, empty two-sentence email. Never have they explained to me why exactly they cannot treat me. I …
Very poor customer service. My son missed a scheduled appointment with counselor Shelby Browlee on December 2, 2014. I admit that we forgot about the appointment. We rescheduled, and when we showed up for the next appointment I was …
I like the doctor my son sees, but the front desk is Horrible. Twice I have not been able to make an appointment while in the office because their system is down. When I try to call and make an appointment, either no one answers and it goes …
Everyone, from the receptionists to the psychiatrists, are so friendly and caring. I feel comfortable talking about my feelings, with no fears of being judged. My therapist is amazing. She truly cares about my well-being and wants to see me get well. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.
I’ve been going here for about a year. I have never had any issues with billing or appointments, even when my insurance has changed. I love the psychologist I see, Dr. Ruth. Front desk staff is great. I also see a psychiatrist for medication. No complaints. My husband goes here too.
I like my counselor; however, the office staff leaves much to be desired. They are disorganized, not very pleasant, and treat customers as though they are a number. Every single time I go in, I fill out the sign in sheet, which includes the …
I can’t speak of the entire practice but I can speak on my experience with Dr. Ansari. At the end of my first (virtual) visit with him, after reviewing a lifelong battle with mental health and various traumas, he asked me if I had ever …
Pretty good, certainly better at returning calls and making sure you can see your therapist regularly than any other psychologist we have ever attempted to go to. …
Both of my daughters and I go to see separate therapists, dealing with the death of their mom. Everyone from the office manager, receptionist to all our therapists, I see stacey, and my girls drs and very thoughtful, they listen and are …
This doctor’s office is absolutely terrible! They never answer their phone or answer emails in a timely manner, stuff is plain rude and sassy, as if I wasn’t paying for their services. They refused to take my insurance and made me paid OOP, …

Love Dr. Glick
Entire staff is completely incompetent.
Dr. Glick is awesome!
They almost NEVER answer the phone. You must leave a message and wait for a return call, sometime hours later. Frustrating.
Wonderful. My physician cares and listens. After many years and many doctors, this changed my life.
Very supportive of my child and easy to contact in the portal when needed.
They messed up our billing and refused to rectify the issues. Highly unethical
