Northeast Regional Medical Center Reviews ( 156 )

  1. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They got me right through as quickly as possible. The technician was very helpful since I was have a test that causes many to have panic attacks. I got through it fine but it’s reassuring to have caring people help you through it.

  2. Staff are decades behind in mental health training. Came in with a friend who was suicidal and self-harming, and the doctor ordered no tests, performed no exams, and discharged us after just 30 minutes.

  3. You will spend 45 minutes checking in for a 2 minute x ray. Other hospitals are not like this and I often drive to Macon because it’s faster than waiting for the check in process (I like in Kirksville). They also charge drastically more …

  4. Went to the er for serious abdominal pain and fever (after my GP advised me to). Got an iv and some pain meds which helped except that I waited so long my iv dried out and my pain meds stopped helping (which is crazy cause I have a very …

  5. Wow. We are so incredibly impressed and grateful for the Labor & Delivery team at NERMC. For lack of a better way to express myself, the L&D team was genuinely kind and caring for the entirety of our experience birthing our first child. …

  6. My son was in an accident and transported to NERMC. Dr. Caine and Dr. Burbee took AMAZING care of my son (as well as all of the nurses)! Once they found out he had an unstable fracture, they immediately made the call to ship him out to a …

  7. This hospital is truly disgraceful, their lack of tact and professionalism is aweful; the way they talked about my high risk pregnant wife is disipline worthy. As a facility that works with the general public they should be non judgemental …

  8. My daughter recently gave birth to her son here. The majority of the ob nurses were awesome, but I do not feel my daughter was given proper care. Decisions about her and her son’s care were made without informing her of the consequences. …

  9. Ive had 1 bad experience in the E.R. with my infant. But outside of that I’ve had 4 C-sections here and the nurses are outstanding and i don’t have a single complaint about the OB floor! I recommend NRMC for outpatient surgery and the OB …

  10. Worthless, the meds they gave me made me jittery and actually made my migraine worse, on top of all that they were three times as expensive as any other ER I had ever been to. I had heard horror stories about this place and they weren’t …

  11. To many negative experiences to write down. Only ever had one positive experience and that was on the fifth floor. ICU/CCU and E.R. are nightmare worthy. I’d go to Columbia before I went here if I had the choice….

  12. My daughter had surgery with Dr. Marberry at NRMC. The Outpatient Surgery Staff is wonderful. My daughter was comfortable in surgery as well, thanks to the OR Staff. She said that the Anesthesia doctors and nurses talked her through …

  13. Best OB Nurses ever! You can tell everyone genuinely loves their jobs and care about you and your newborn’s needs. I wouldn’t give birth anywhere else! Plus…. they have the best ice in the entire world! 😉

  14. Very happy with the care my grandmother received. Thankful for all the caring nurses that were there for my grandmother. Also the therapy crew. Doctors Grider, Caine and Deleeuw are wonderful doctors. Wish all of her care could have been at …

  15. The billing department is terrible. I will never go back just because of it. No one ever answers the phone and when you leave a message they don’t call back. I wish I could give no stars!

  16. I would not go here again. Worst experiences I have ever had at a hospital. Would not trust them to save me if I was dying. Not caring..Not trained…Not professional.

  17. Their staff isn’t trained or qualified to take care of people with mental health issues. I had several nurses be incredibly rude to me because I was in for a suicide attempt. I spent about 20 hours in the emergency room before I was …

  18. Staff is great. However, they are VERY high price. They will run up a bill and take you to court the moment you miss a payment. I questioned the bill. They charged me an extended ER visit. Yes, I was in the ER for hours, however, it had to …

  19. I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack. The nurses and doctors there were very efficient and quickly responded to my problem. After running some tests they found out it wasn’t my heart, but instead a hiatal hernia which was …

  20. The most pathetic excuse for a hospital I’ve ever seen. The only small part that is decent are a couple very conpasionate nurses in out patient surgery. Besides that this place is a joke. Very rarely will they DO ANYYHING to help. I have too many terrible experiences to type out.

  21. This hospital is absolutely terrible as everyone else has stated. The staff will literally argue with you over petty things, and show no professionalism in the work place. I will never be back.

  30. Very friendly and professional staff..I was well informed of my procedure and they answered all of my questions and concerns…Very satisfied

  31. Do not take Xray or MRI scan from this hospital if you have the options. These people over charge you. Since it is a little town, patients depend on them. Xray costs $1000+, MRI multiple of that. Insurance only pay half of it, since it is so high prized. Be careful!! Google needs a zero star.

  32. Northeast Regional Medical Hospital was a positive experience. The staff were very professional, kind and caring. The food was good and I had a big variety. My Doctor was excellent with questions right to the point. She diagnosed my health problem quickly and took care of me with exceptional knowledge.

  33. Well the register person tried to tell me that if anything went wrong that they would put me I your hospital. Over my dead body will I ever stay in your no caring and non medical treatment hospital. I would rather take my chances in the streets.

  34. Shoutout to Heather K in Radiology! I was there this morning and was very pleased with the service I received from everyone but she went above and beyond! She was great about making sure I was comfortable and helping as needed. Thank you Heather, you made a less than fun experience better!

  40. I was very pleased with the experience overall. I felt the staff was very considerate and dedicated to making sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. No one wants to be in the hospital, but they did everything possible to put me at ease and assure me they would be there if I had an issue. Thank you Norrheast Regional

  41. The orthopedic clinic run by Dr. Marberry and PA Dalton Baker has been fantastic to work with throughout my shoulder surgery process. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs orthopedic care.

  42. Extremely long wait and terrible doctor-patient interaction. Every time I come here I have the same experience. I very rarely get any relief after any visit from here and am usually left with the same undiagnosed issues.

  43. Every hospital has pros and cons, the caring staff of NRMC is a huge pro, shout out and special thanks to Dr. JCaine, SJonesRN, KDillardRN, TWesternRN and BStephens in security- as well as everyone else that I saw but cannot remember!! 😉 …

  47. The staff acted professionally while caring for our needs, contacted the University Hospital’s surgeon who had recently performed surgery, and transferred him for further evaluation. It was appropriate in light of the knowledge about effects of surgery on his condition.

  48. I have NEVER had a breast exam here that didn’t require follow up tests which thankfully everything came back with no findings. Sent me to Columbia this time but didn’t send records so still waiting for almost an hour now for them to do so. …

  50. It was clear that the nursing shortage has left an impact as nurses were stretched thin, but I still received my outpatient surgery without medical issues. Staff, nurses, and doctors were all polite, caring, and professional.

  51. Extreme professionalism and safe enviroment. My wife was treated with respect and was well informed by the highly trained Doctor and Nurses with step by step procedures of the Colonoscopy. Any questions or fears She had were answered in a compassionate and knowledgeable manor.

  53. Emergency room visit for a fall I took. Very short waiting time to be seen. Had an X-ray and saw the ER doctor. Nurse was very nice and ER doctor was very informative. The complete process was approximately 2 hours. Shortest amount of time I have ever spent in an emergency room . Very pleased.

  54. Had a scheduled x-ray went in and had to wait an hour upstairs just to check in then had to go wait downstairs for 30 more minutes before ever getting in with the x-ray technician. . . I can’t wait to go back for my MRI in a few weeks😬🙄 …

  55. They are very prompt with there procedures and at explaining the symptoms of your conditions, the doctor and staff are very curious of your physical condition and make sure that they follow through with sending you to the falling test to be proformed to make sure of there findings

  56. The nurses and some doctors treat you nice but some of the doctors don’t have a good bedside manner I believe that the hospital needs to work with these doctors on their bedside manner

  57. The techs I had were great and friendly. I waited over 90 minutes total to get the work done. Furthermore, when the billing amount told to me beforehand was not accurate as they didn’t account for my deductible in my insurance so now …

  62. Literally the stupidest hospital around here. They take to long to see a patient and need to have an order in which they see there patients. By far the worst hospital to go to around here. Your better off doing it yourself. Doctors and nurses are rude and trashy.

  63. I went into the hospital for an ultrasound of my gall bladder. Check-in took a while, as they were very busy in admissions. I went to radiology about 45 minutes after my scheduled time but was done with my test in about an hour.

  64. Should have took a hour at most. But took three hours. NEEDED labs didn’t find out until hour and half into Rest was insurance not the hospitals fault. Very pleasant everyone.

  65. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. The wait time to register seemed a little excessive, as is usual, and so many papers to sign or initial every single time. Otherwise, a good experience.

  66. I had exceptional care from the 4th floor team. Deb, Courtney, Cindy, Lucas and Dr. Claire. You guys and everyone I came into contact with treated me like I was family and you are now Mt extended family.

  67. nurses in ER are very nice and accomodating, nurses in 4th floor are same thing too..took care of me and my needs during my stay thank you..and thumbs up to Dr.Jess Caine is really nice and great surgeon i like her so much

  68. Visited the ER this week, was not impressed. They missed a diagnosis I was able to confirm with a doctor a few days later. And I had several different people treat me, most without an introduction. I was sent home in pain with a phone number to call the next day.
