It’s obvious that this company is taking advantage of customers who have no other options. About to blast the issue to all the news networks. $1000 electric bills for one month is not okay. We aren’t even home 10 hours a day. When asked to …
Prices are out of control. My bill is up $140 over what it was for hundreds less kw usage. It has repeatedly jumped by at least a $100 dollars or more each month as price per kWh continues to rise out of control. Yet we have no choice but to pay these exorbitant prices. How this is even legal is beyond me.

For the third time in four weeks or so, I’ve lost power between the time of 5:30 PM and 7 PM. You can’t get any updates as to what happened or ETAs. I’m forced to use this joke of a company being in the Hidden Lakes area. But you can bet …

For the 3rd time in 4 weeks I am now sitting in a house with no electricity and no good reason for a power outage. Living in Keller requires using Tri-County as my electricity provider. I’ll use the word provide loosely because it seems …
We are glad to be with tri county. Our home office is in the house and when we moved one of the things we looked for was to be in a area that had tri county.
This company charges ridiculous deposit fees. The worst policies and procedures. Why are they still here? Why isn’t there competition? If there was, they would be fair.
If I didn’t have to have them, I wouldn’t. They do not pick up the phone and when they do they definitely act like they are doing you a favor. Bill way to high as well oh lord I would move just because of them.
So moved into our new home. Got to the adulting and setting up the utilities. Credit is good so everyone loves setting us up, “Oh we can waive that connection fee no problem.” Then set up Electric. “Ok, to set up service it will be …
If you’re a human being and happen to be 2 days late, don’t count on any compassion. They immediately send a nasty letter telling you they are going to terminate service in less than a week.
“Taking care of our member-owners” Right
Currently I come home from work and my power was disconnected. Have never received a bill or termination notice and just moved down the street after selling my home. Was told that they had been sending my bill for my new address to the old …
Company expects you to have a Facebook to receive any communications about outages/repairs etc. we have had outages weekly for the last month and today are informed by a neighbor about scheduled outages for the next 4 days this week from …
As a business owner serviced by TriCounty Electric, I have to say that this servicr and their vonstant outages is going to pug me out of business. Restaurant was without power two Thursdays in a row. This is in additikn to many other times.
I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences here. Always courteous, today spoke with Vicki, very polite, took my past due payment with no penalties over the phone to be immediately posted! Thank you
Literally the most incompetent group of individuals I have ever had the displeasure of speaking too. I’d like to understand the concept of accepting people with 12 months of consecutive electricity but having two missed payments over …
Smaller, but steady provider. Thank you for keeping the lights on during the storm. Also for not gouging on the bill that just arrived. Bigger is not always better!
This is the absolute worst electric company I have ever dealt with. They turned my electricity off without ANY notification after they failed to process the payment on the day they were supposed to, which over drafted my account. I called …
This is honestly the best electricity conpany I have ever worked with, my electric bill came lower than what I used to pay, and is always under $100 and they have excellent customer service, it’s unfortunate that they don’t provide service where I’m moving to now but it is a great company overall.
Worst service I have ever had in my life. Customer service is terrible and beyond rude mindless worthless robots in my opinion. And please don’t even try to respond back with something like we are so sorry for your bad experience. That would be a joke all in itself.
People giving tri county in Fort Worth Tx off of Keller hicks road less than 5 stars have never lived in a home with someone like txu. Trust me. We had a 1700 sq ft home and had Txu for years. A 500-600$ summer bill was the normal. Here I …
Only electrical service in our neighborhood. With that said, we are happy so far. Our energy efficient house + their service equals MUCH lower bills than our previous house and provider.
In less than 30 days, we’ve had 3 blackouts which have lasted between 2-3 hours. And I think that if the power line isn’t built to sustain the amount of power required, I think there’s to be embarrassed and ashamed. …
I have been a home owner for over 28 years. I can truly say this is the worst power company I have EVER had to deal with. On line payment login NEVER EVEN works right. If you have the choice go with someone else.
Horrible customer service! I called to have my service transferred and each time I called the “hold time” to speak with an operator was over 45 minutes long. But, because I needed to get this done prior to the move I sat and held, only to …
When I moved 2 months ago.
They never sent someone to shut off electric at old home.

On hold for 17 minutes to see when power would be restored to only be answered by a recorded message with no information other than they are aware of outage but no estimate of restore time available.. ridiculous….
I am giving a 5 star review and saying thank you to Tri County for keeping our electricity running during this cold weather! I have neighbors on a different electric company and they have been dealing with that Company’s rolling outages for a day and a half now. Hopefully, our power will continue to stay on so we can stay warm.
Absolutely horrible experience. I never leave reviews but it doesn’t feel right to just stand by and watch people be treated unfairly by a monopoly. They charged us an $825 deposit even though we have never had any issues whatsoever with …
I called the keller Branch regarding our service. I spoke in polite manner. The representative on the phone was fine, but another lady in the back was yelling and taunting what I said. Maybe she thought I couldn’t hear it? Very unprofessional. don’t get the job if you don’t know how to do it!!
This is the worst electric company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is extremely poor! I’m sure it’s because they have a monopoly going on and therefore have no competition. I live in an area where I have no choice in electric …
This place is terrible. So with the pandemic that’s going on, unfortunately me and my family was put out of our home and had to live with a relative so the normal thing to do is to help out with bills while living with someone, so when I …
Barely signed up. Not impressed with deposit and money down required. Paid $345 to start service! That’s ridiculous. Not to mention, other electric companies offer same rates or even better plus sign up bonuses!!! Too bad this company has a monopoly in the area…. maybe I will start an organization to protest.
$345.50 just to get my electricity turned on at my new apartmemt is a complete ripoff. If I would have know that this was my only choice for an electricity provider I would have never moved to this area. Someone needs to sue this corrupt monopoly.
Even though I didn’t live in my apartment for the last 4 weeks of my time with them and had already moved all of my stuff out and turned the thermostat off completely… my last bill was still $40 AFTER they subtracted the $25 membership …
Yes my bill has been ridiculously high lately. I’m not sure what’s going on. And unfortunately my area is forced to use them as well. This is not not right.
This company is the worst. By far the worst electric company. i tried to give them a chance since my neighborhood forces me to have them which is a joke. I have gone without power on my area light for over month. first they said they would …
Not only do these jews add $50 per month in bogus fees, now these theives decided to charge their victims (customers) fuel surcharges. That way the tcec employees don’t have to pay for gasoline or groceries.
This place is a absolutely a joke they should be sued for monopolizing the area they have horrible customer service there tech are laughable and they will charge with absolutely ridiculous things
This company is the worst! I wish they did not monopolize our area. I have been a loyal customer for over four years and never missed a payment. But alas, we are all human and miss payments and they cut off my electricity. They charged …
One of the worst companies ever. Wish there was a 1/10 star, that is what I would have selected cause a 1-star is too great for this company. They will screw you over multiple times. They say one thing, and put in different notes so the …
I was against being forced to use a co-op because of where I lived. Their prices were higher than the open market. However, power has stayed up better than other friends around the metropolitan area. During the severe weather of February of 2021, electricity never wavered! Please keep up the great work!
If I could this place a give a zero, I would!! I called in, asked for my power shut off 24 June, received a call stating my power was turned off 19 Aug. I have zero respect for companies that do business like this. I paid my bill, done with this place forever!!
Theyre extremely pricy and unprofessional they shutoff my electric at 1 am when theyre closed when ive made my payments. Makimg me lose my food my phone diedvby the morning without being able to charge it tgats just not right they should give a phone call or somthing
TRUST THE REVIEWS. I seriously have no idea how these people are in business still. We’ve had over 7 power outages in the past MONTH. That means basically a week of each month we LOSE POWER. So frustrating when you work from home and cannot …
The fees for this company are outrageous and I was told they can and will continue to fluctuate based on whatever the company feels. Ridiculous. Why is half my bill total fees?!?
Customer for two years. Account is current, all payments made. Tri-County wants $450 deposit when we move to new house in area. No competition in area i s no bueno..
I’m not a customer and probably will never be. The rates they are charging are ridiculous. I’m thankful that Texas allows you to shop for your own electric provider.
This place is horrible and has zero customer service nor people that care. I called to terminate my service 3 weeks in advance. Long story short I just found out this home which I no longer own is being ran on power in my name/account and being billed to me!
We’ve lost power countless times over the last year for 3 or more hours at a time. Within the last few weeks we’ve had many power surges and lost power 3 times!!! …
The worst. Terrible customer service and continual outages. My power is out right now again as I right this. I don’t have another option but so bad I’d almost consider moving….
We are forced to use this horrible place because of the apartments we live in. Customer service is non-existent. They never respond to complaints. During the February winter storm of 2021, we were without power for 2 days but our bill was 5 …
My review is only for the sales pitch they have their employees using while going door to door trying to get solar customers. I’ve never used their electric services so I can’t comment on that. …
I have no issue with any staff member there. I find them all to be extremely friendly and helpful. What I do take issue with is the monopoly mentality of the co-op due to lack of competition. Higher rates, less options for services, etc.
Two employees came to work on the meter. Their technique was to hit the meter as hard as they can with their hands undo some wires and then leave with the meter barley connected to the house and all the wiring hanging and not re installed.
We get paid twice a month and the way tri electric county bills us we will always be late and they arent willing to move the bill date or waive the fee so we will be paying every single month an additional $10 dollars for nothing because of their unwillingness to work with the customers.
Proces are a joke and when you have no choice on what electric company to use and stuck using this one I should not be paying 300 a month for a small apartment kwh prices are to high as well get more damn options then just the one your using and better cs
great service. never a problem and my bills are lower than others i know with a comparable house and different service provider. Rarely have outages and when we do they are restored quickly!
What customer service? Called to have new service setup and sent form back. Called and emailed several times to ensure service was setup for new location but no response. Oh, yeah call the main office and they can’t do anything without …
Good operations but customer service and processes are bad. Online is not secure and I’ve paid a membership fee multiple times and they just tell you it’s their process.
The cost have gone too far. There is simply no way Tri County should be billing there customers these sky high bills. I have lived here 9 years and have seen my bill TRIPLE.
Agree with other reviews who mentioning outrages electricity charges. This is supposed to be a Co-op but it is more like extortion. Price/KWH has gone from above unreasonable above market prices last year of .09/kwh to over .15/KWH. Avoid …
Tri-County Electric Cooperative Inc. rates provides reliable service however their rates have increased by 56% over the past 12 months (from August 2021 to August 2022) for my property in Keller. This compares to my other property in …
Customer service is terrible! They make the simplest things difficult! If you are just changing the name on the account to your company name of a house you already own and have already had their service on said house for years they want to charge you a hookup and disconnect fee! They don’t value their customers and are very rude!
I wish I could give zero stars. The most unreliable service and inconsistent pricing I’ve ever experienced. They have doubled their rate several times over the last two years that I’ve been forced to use their service. In 2020 their rate …
Friendly and professional staff, they have helped me a lot and have been very helpful and passionate threw all of our rough patches, couldn’t be happier with their staff and services.
Sincerely. RSB
The only reason we use this company is because there is no alternative in the area. My electricity bill is $1626.23 for this month and I haven’t even had my ac running because the outdoor weather was cool enough to get away with doing so. Someone needs to report this company asap
Cant give a Negative Star rating or I would.
My bill went up over $300 from last month, nothing changed as far as usage. Don’t want to hear it’s about being charged for higher natural gas, etc. It’s about you all lining your pockets with the Democrats…..

Higher rates, fewer options and worse service than Oncor

If i had my pick of electric company this won’t be it..
5 stars as long as we have electricity during this arctic storm.
The absolute WORST!! If You have any other option I would take it.
Ted is a very nice guy. He was right on time, very professional, and did a great job!! We highly recommend Tri-County Pumping.
Have to pay almost $400 just to get electricity. Company does not accommodate changing names on accounts even if the building is the same.

Truly a relic in modern times I can’t wait until their poor customer service catches up to them. Guys in the field seem nice enough.
love their rates & not worrying about how to get the cheapest rate! Great customer service as well 🙂
we lost power at least one day a week for the past three to four weeks. Simply UNACCEPTABLE!
Lose power at least four times a year. I’ve lost power twice this week. If you can avoid these clowns then avoid them.
Disconnected power because they removed my debit card from autodraft. Then never notified me about the card being removed.

This company charges to much for the kWH we need a better electricity company in the Keller and roanoke tx area.
Scammers… worst company.. they work with apartments to where you have to use them.. and over charge you
The fees for this company are outrageous and I was told they can and will continue to fluctuate based on whatever the company feels.
Let’s be real: No one likes Electric Companies, especially when you’re not given a choice. …
These guys were the rudest and most disrespectful guys i have ever dealt with by far !
The worst. Terrible customer service and continual outages. My power is out right now again as I right this. I don’t have another option but so bad I’d almost consider moving….
We are forced to use this horrible place because of the apartments we live in. Customer service is non-existent. They never respond to complaints. During the February winter storm of 2021, we were without power for 2 days but our bill was 5 …
Cheap electric but it all comes off of service level and the amount of staff and their ability to be useful.
Had for 20 years no complaints rarely an outage great service
Co-op owned, member’s benefit from any overage after debts are paid. No middle man.
What customer service? Called to have new service setup and sent form back. Called and emailed several times to ensure service was setup for new location but no response. Oh, yeah call the main office and they can’t do anything without …
So expensive, last summer we were paying $95-$120 a month now it’s $400 plus… beyond Ridiculous
Avoid …
My bill this month went up more than twice for a total of $587.00. My blood pressure dropped when I saw this. …
