I sat in the ER of Waterbury hospital from 4pm to 9:50pm waiting to be seen by a doctor for my daughter who was very sick , short of breathing wasnt eating within 3 days no fluids no Tylenol . They took approximately 30mins to give her …
Xray department in Middlebury is the worst. 50minute wait time had to leave to go to Dr appointment down the hall went back after Dr appointment another 50 minutes wait had to leave for another Dr appointment so couldn’t wait any …
the worst hospital in the world.I was waiting 6 hours for them to attend me and that never happened… I don’t understand why they send me this survey if they never attended me and I asked to be removed from the system because I was going home.
They didn’t do any blood work to see why I had a allergic reaction to something at work or see if anything absorbed in my skin they didn’t do anything to help me not going there again and they didn’t listen to anything I had to say or take …
They treated me like I mattered the doctors and nurses were attentive to my individual care and needs most importantly they got me healthier God bless the staff at Waterbury hospital
I was in the hospital for something related to addiction and they did not treat me any different than anyone else. I was treated with respect. They saved my life. I have had awful experiences with other hospitals. I live all the way in Norwich, was in the Danbury area at the time and still chose to take the ride to Waterbury.
Me and my daughter went here because we were very sick running high fever, dehydrated, unable to keep food down etc.. the dr diagnosed us with a stomach virus, meanwhile our symptoms worsened and we went to another hospital and was …
I was recently treated for an accident. Their trauma team was so attentive and everyone went with the flow. The nurses were really nice, especially one assigned to me. She really went about and beyond to make me as comfortable as possible.
I had one of the wurst traumas happen to me, the whole staff was completely wonderful giving me all the help support I needed making sure my healing process was a success. The or doctors did amazing with all my surgeries I needed
The ER was empty when we got there. It took 4 hours for my wife to get a CT scan. It only took 1 hour for the doctor to see her. So it was a 3 hour wait. Then the new doctor came in 3 hours later and told her to go home.
When you call 911 and go to the hospital with bruises on your body, saying you’ve been assaulted and not one dr or nurse even looks at your body, keeps you there for 14 hours and discharges you it’s definitely no place I recommend. I will however say the nurses were amazing.
I was sent to the ER by my doctor at 6:15 PM and checked in at 6:45. The sign in and triage process was done within 5 minutes and I was escorted to a room in the ER by one of the nurses who was leaving for the day on her way out 10 minutes …
If I could give less stars I would I went with my toddler for a visit due to being sent by the pediatrician for an eye injury. It was the worst mistake I could have made. My daughter couldn’t even open her eye and we sat in the waiting room …
The staff was kind and professional. I was in the trauma unit and they were efficient and skilled while also reassuring and caring. I appreciated the care I was given.
Emergency room visit. Xray fractured arm at shoulder. Sat. Morning. 5 00 am. Took til 8 am to complete visit. Room was not crowded!!!! Very poor service!!!!!!
Upon arrival I noticed the condition of the emergency room lobby. Dirty and unkempt I initially wanted to leave but thought I was overreacting. And it was so late already. So I stayed. I will forever regret staying. After almost two and a …
I can’t say enough about my experience. All the departments that I was in contact with were kind, caring and efficient. ( admitting, lab, radiology, recovery). Being a retired nurse from the hospital I know how stressful their jobs are but they showed only compassion and caring. Thanks to all.
Labor and delivery nurses were excellent. Loving, caring and attentive to our needs. Covid precautions were top notch. Food service was decent and I recommend the chicken ceasar salad with boiled eggs& bacon every day.
I had been stabbed in the neck by a neighbor. Surprisingly I was arrested, I spent the whole time in hand cuffs. Everyone was very short and almost rude. The intern or whoever she was who stitched my wound was not nice at all and did such a …
I wish I could give 0 stars. I came in for a cyst that was growing and beginning to hurt, they gave me numbing medication but still wasn’t numb, proceeded to cut said area (without it being numb) at least the size of a quarter. Although I …
Had to go there for a major surgical procedure. All the staff that I dealt with were very courteous, polite, and helpful. My wait time during pre-op was not that long. The staff that cared for me were very attentive. I’m thoroughly satisfied with my experience at Waterbury Hospital.
I was treated at Waterbury Hospital due to a low hemoglobin. I was given a blood transfusion and told I was being admitted. The hospital called my daughter at 1am and told her I was not being admitted because my hemoglobin had gone up to a …
I totally love this place. I’ve been several times and every time you’re traded like they’ve known you their whole life. Everybody is in a pleasant mood and does their job properly and quickly. This time I wound up being there with a mother …
I did it like it I wasn’t seen I went in at 1 o’clock in the afternoon waited in the waiting room until 12 o’clock at night and still wasn’t seen I watch patients come in after me and leave out before me over and over again they kept …
Everything went so smooth. Also everyone was so nice and respectful as both should be. I was in they took my information I have my test done and I left. I couldn’t be more pleased
I had covid when I gave birth. It seems like no one wanted to be near me. I had a C-section was in a lot of pain and they were not on time with my pain meds I had to call and even then they would come a hour after the call. They didn’t help …
I am allergic to chicken. I ordered a beef chimichanga at Senior Panchos in Thomaston but received a chicken one instead. I started having a reaction so I took 3 benadryl and headed to Waterbury Hospital. I spoke to the triage nurse and …
From check in to nurses and imaging and dr carlos i had , was excellent and very informative, also was fast on getting me in and care for my situation.
My sister and I were in the hospital for 8 hours after a motor vehicle accident. She didn’t get her cat scan until after midnight. Than we didn’t get the results till around 1am. She was finally discharged from the hospital after 1am. Too long to wait to be treated and be released. What a nightmare!!
Went in for extreme back pain. Waited 3 hours. Finally the doctor came by and said they would give me medication for pain. Two hours later nurse came with two different narcotics (one shot and one pill form) and prednisone. He asked me if I …
Hospital Staff are all professional and great however the ER is atrocious its understaffed, people in the hall ways out in the front just a mad house un organized unprofessional treating the patients in the waiting room so everyone heard what was going on with that particular person.
My husband and I had an excellent experience with the birthing department and the nicu at Waterbury hospital! The staff was nothing short of amazing. From labor and delivery to after care and meals all of it was a good experience. We had …
Nurse on ER is completely rude and unprofessional. These people have no empathy for their patients or their health. Came in at noon by doctor’s recommendations for open surgery bleeding and 5 hours later they haven’t even had the kindness …
Where do I begin.I came in to the emergency room do to a broken hip and chest pain. Right away I was taken in for testing and got settled in. The staff was amazing and very caring, not to mention they were super busy in this particular night …
this is the worst hospital i have ever been too. you might as well take the extra time to drive to a different hospital because there a so god dam slow.
I came to Waterbury Hospital in November at the request of my cardiologist initially for an angiogram, that ended up being major heart surgery and a stay of over a week (with a return visit a few weeks later for another overnight). Everyone …
I brought my 5 year old son to the ER with an almost 105 degree fever. We were left in the waiting room for 3 hours while a girl with a sprained ankle went before us. My son was pale, barely coherent, and eventually vomited while we were …
This was not a good experience. It was a nurse issue. I had soiled myself in the ambulance. I needed to be cleaned up. The nurse did nothing! I finally asked for help. She showed me the bathroom. No washcloth, no towel. My pants were a mess. I had to ask her please bring me hospital bottoms. And then she disappeared!!!
Ridiculous. I’m a stage four cancer patient who was obviously very sick and had been for days with a serious issue that required immediate attention. I was making constant trips to the restroom. I was very uncomfortable because some of the …
One star and that’s only because when someone actually made contact & spoke to me they were super kind!
I was transported to the ER after suffering neck, back & leg injuries in an …
A sincere thank you to the Emergency Room staff for their care of my family member! You all are amazing and on top of your game! An overwhelming scene to a peaceful organized scene. The team work and the organization of that Emergency Room was phenomenal! Your Emergency Room Team deserves a Gold Metal and beyond! Thank you all!
The doctors, nurses, PCA’s, Hospitality, Housekeeping, Maintenance who work in ICU at Waterbury Hospital are some of the best trained people I have ever come across. The care that I received, be it from the nurses, the pca’s or dietary was …
The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the nurse I had when the shift was changed was super nice very communicative. Unfortunately I was in the ER for several hours and I never received a answer as to why I wasn’t able to see from …
If I could give a 1/2 a star I would. Very few competent nurses. Most of the aides were good. The receptionist at the front during the daytime is just straight up rude. On a positive note the sitters were GREAT! No communication between the …
I gave birth this year 2022 & I understand due to COVID you can only have 1 person there but some of the nurses were not aware of the new rules. My partner & I were treated with attitude from the nurses except for an Indian, African …
Not as good as it used to be. Slow on everything, no communication among doctors, no randomly check-ups on the patients unless you click the red button. Some services I couldn’t get done on time because it was weekend. REALLY?????? …
I gave birth to my first child at Waterbury hospital. The entire team was fantastic. Cared so much about my needs and wants and also made sure my husband was comfortable. I can’t thank them enough for making my experience one to remember.
I have been red flagged as a user and get treated horribly.. I have a history of heart attack extremely high blood pressure but get told I’m detoxing. Wasn’t even close to detoxing. My foot is swollen double it’s size and was never even …
Dr.Scott Kurtzman went above and beyond for my daughter after being involved in a serious rollover car crash. Her nurse Rory was very attentive and kind. As well as the head nurse and others that tended to her. Even the woman from intake was incredibly kind! We always use Waterbury hospital and are grateful we have each time!
I’ve been to Waterbury Hospital several times and they been excellent. Every one from the Emergency are so friendly and helpful. ( Mrs. Vega, she is awesome) she kept coming to the room and asking me if I needed anything and very friendly. I recommend this hospital. Keep up the amazing job you do for your patience’s!
Intake RN caring, spoke to you like you existed. After that no one spoke to you as if you were an actual person. I was treated as if I was a number in a que.
I don’t understand why I was not given at least Saline solution when I was not able to eat or drink anything for 2 days. I think that’s rather uncommon that you let somebody dehydrate.
Courtney rose was so nasty to my niece for no reason had ppl calling her cursing her out and much more while out family was in that hospital sick trying to get better that’s the type of ppl Waterbury has working for them how shameful and disgusting she needs to be fired asap I’m calling cooperate
All the physicians and staff members were so helpful and wonderful. I appreciate the opportunity to receive the care and love from all Thank you very much.
I gave a five star due to staffs ability to function during a computer crash that put the entire system down. They stayed calm and professional and got the job done.
Emergency room and cardiac unit visits- great staff, excellent in every way- no complaints and I’ve been in several hospitals unfortunately over the years.
Always believe Waterbury has 2 good hospitals & glad they are in my community. The staff at Waterbury Hospital is kind, courteous, and communicate with the patients they serve. Thank you staff😁👍 …
A little sloppy. Left pieces of tape on my chest that I had to peel off when I got home. And after it was over I was put at a table in a corner and asked if I wanted coffee ,tea or water. And given the choice of a Nutragrain bar or crackers. That was it. I thought they could have done better than that.
My wife took me to the emergency room because I was having chest pain I waited in the er for 8 hours to get into a room to c a doctor I think that’s unacceptable come to find out I was having a heart attack other then the er the rest of the hospital took good care of me
I was very impress how my daughter was treated for blood draw the nurse have good hands for kids at least that’s what I experience with my daughter great work keep up the good work thank you
Taken by ambulance from Litchfield township layer on gurney close to 10:30 from five pm refused my eliquis and cardizem and cataract eye food, offered no water was there for X-ray or ct of neck and shoulder falling on concrete walk path in …
No stars emergency room and 4th floor nurses a joke ! My 98 yr old father was treated like “he’s going to die anyways” couldn’t wait to get out of there!
I think they need to be better organized. If patient is due to have meds at certain time and doesn’t get them until 2hrs after that time ifind this to be a problem. Also Noone has checked on you in 6 hrs is also a problem.
Very understaffed. Left after 2-1/2 hours without being seen. Was vacationing in the area so I wasn’t aware if there is a better option, I just went to the closest ER. Most other people also left without ever being seen.
I had a stroke and went to Waterbury hospital. The doctor told me to loose weight and maybe I’ll get better. Also, there way something on my bed , I asked numerous times to have it changed ! Crazy I would give this place less that 1 star
I felt that they only concluded with what I said. Wasn’t given any explanation or diagnostic on what really caused the lump and pain in veins. I meant to go to St. MARYS Where they’ve lately been more intuitive and concerned. A long waist of time I felt at Waterbury Hospital.
I was there for 5 hours. They began by telling me that I did not have a concussion, only to tell me an hour later that they wanted to take another CT scan because they feared that I had a broken neck and a concussion. If I could give 0 stars I would.
From admission to discharge, the experience at Waterbury Hospital exceeded expectations.
Please extend my sincere thanks to the nursing staff in surgical ICU and the RNs …
Would give a 0 if possible. Went there for possible dehydration and to see abt getting an endoscopy for GI issues. Was told itd be abt a 4 hr wait. After 4hrs we asked again and was told itd be another 6 MINIMUM – just being in the waiting room mind you!! We left without even being seen after a woman gave birth in the effing bathroom!
I was completely dismissed by the Dr. and was sent home in more pain then I started with. The Dr. also forgot to sign my discharge papers and I had to wait another hour on top of the 8 hours wasted. I now have to find a Dr. or hospital that can actually help me.
Raymond the registered nurse who works on floor 8 told me that if I had an issue with anything I could leave a review. Well? I have several issues. Should I leave multiple reviews? I was given involuntary shots that contained haldol, …
It’s sad Waterbury hospital is not what it was before. It’s so crowded when you get there. The bed side manner is poor. I use to always say it was the best hospital but it’s gone down in quality care significantly. I know the nurses and …
My experience at Waterbury Hospital was not a good one, particularly with regard to the respiratory department. I arrived at the ED at about 1:00 or 1:30 in the afternoon. When I knew I was to be admitted, I made it known to both the ED doc …
I had A blood draw in preparation for annual physical at the Waterbury Hospital blood draw station. From check-in and registration to blood draw, everyone was kind and efficient. Their teamwork is a shining example of what makes me proud to work at Waterbury Hospital.
Went in because of dehydration. Coronavorus was suspected right away which I was positive for. Was hours before they performed the test and gave me fluids during which time I was in a hallway potentially infecting others. My blood …
Very friendly atmosphere from the desk person to the ultrasound technician. My whole experience went smoothly. Everyone I encountered was very nice and pleasant.
I can’t believe that, I gave birth my baby in this hospital, and every time we need to go there, there service is not the best, but at least is decent. But yesterday, I was in the ER with my 2yo baby, and I wait 4 hrs… no one called us. …
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Thanks to all the wonderful nurses and doctors on the labor and delivery ward. Special thanks to nurse Sandra she was amazing.
I had a pleasant experience giving birth here recently. However, when we first arrived it was awkward because a nurse was asked to walk us to triage and she clearly didn’t want to do it so another worker led us there. It was a holiday and I …
First time at Waterbury Hospital came into ER because I injured my flank nerve and I am experiencing severe pain. Hospital staff took care of my needs, its very clean which I was impressed by being that another hospital that I usually go to …
Was brought in by ambulance , my 94-year-old mother, ER was packed, waited in hallway for three hours, finally got a room another hour later nurse came in to start doing bloodwork. Left unattended for hours, arrived 3 PM discharged at 1:00 …
My experience was good. The nursing staff and PCA staff was wonderful. I have no complaints. They were compassionate and kind for what was and still is a painful and emotional time for me and my family. Everything was explained before they did any medications or procedures.
I was recently a patient at Waterbury Hospital. When I first arrived I was being taken care of on a very timely matter. As I was having a mri a trauma patient came in and when I came back was set in the hallway . So the doctor and nurse who …
I spent approximately 10 hours in the ER they had me sitting in the waiting room knowing I had Covid exposing all the other people to Covid I did keep my mask on but once in a while had my to pull it down to breathe I am missing my lower …
Extremely hot sitting in chair in registration waiting room. Felt sick due to dehydration and fasting for blood work. Sitting in a poorly air conditioned hospital made me feel worse. The lab staff teamed up to draw my bloodwork and label …
On a Friday night I arrived dehydrated from all day colon issues. In 8 1/2 hours, No saline drip. Hallways empty of activity and patients. Low staffing. No dietary instructions upon leaving. It seemed that Waterbury Hospital is cutting corners that are impacting the patients. All the staff was friendly and attentive.
One negative was when scheduling the visit, the guidance for registration was wrong, leading me to the wrong location twice, and I wasn’t the only one with that issue. The staff for everything else was great.
I went to hospital yesterday for stomach pains which turned out to be a Umbilical hernia…I was at hospital for 10 hours it was very busy people everywhere…Which I knew I’d have to wait…I had a cat scan and a ultrasound which was …
Awful and rude staff. No empathy for people in pain. Took six hours to be seen. If it were serious, I would have died in the waiting room. Man peed in bed pan in the hallway less than five feet from me.
They dismissed our concerns for a 5 year old child. We don’t use the hospital as a “primary care” like most people do. My child was extremely sick and we had to leave and go to another facility. Thank god we did.
I came in with chest pains. The nurses and Dr’s were quick to diagnose and treat. No time was wasted in caring for me even though the emergency room was very busy. …
Receptionist and every medical professionals were very courtous and attentive. I dont have a medical insuarance but wasnt treated as secondary citizen.
We have used Waterbury Hospital for years for my husband’s heart issues. We love the hospital, and the staff. For being such a big hospital they always remember us, and really like that about them. I have also been treated very well there. …
Was received in a very quick and professional manner. Everyone was very attentive. Always making me feel comfortable. While giving a thorough going over to make sure I was relieved of pain as quick as possible. Everyone was very helpful. I …
The doctor that seen me at Waterbury hospital was very disconcerned and non-evaluating professionalisms I left there untreated with the same problem that I came there with after 3 hours of waiting I was rushed out with no treatment plan and …
While the staff I directly dealt with were very pleasant the enormous wait time was ludicrous over 6 hours in the emergency room and it seemed like lots of things in the room were in disrepair, broken or unsightly, which generally contributed to the assumption that the hospital isn’t well managed
I went to the emergency room in extreme pain and after waiting for 45 mins I left. I ended the worst experience I’ve EVER had at a hospital. I will never advise or tell anyone to go to this hospital. Nor will I ever come back again. Horrible service. I only put one star cause I couldn’t leave it blank.
Went there for a broken thum waited for 2hours while hearing people saying they been wait for 5hours hospitals should have two waiting rooms one for the sick an one for the injured cuz from waiting there for a broken thum I got sick in the process after leaving with out getting checked my finger an thum is still mest up
Went to outpatient X-ray and Bloodwork office located in Middlebury. Staff was professional and courteous. Wait time not great, but not bad by any means.
Wait for hours and hours, see a PA in the HALLWAY, not even a real room! Get charged $1500.00 if they had zero stars that’s what they’d get. Do not recommend.
Waited in the ER waiting room for around 8-9 hrs with chest pain and blood clots as a concern. Drs and nurses were nice and did a good job but I will never go here again.
Amy, the RD I met with, really helped me to understand how I can live with and possibly reverse my Type 2 diabetes. First time since diagnosis that I felt empowered.
I wish not to give any star for this ___ hospital
It was my 1st experience and that was my worst experience.I never use to write any bad comments for any this but this they made me to write.I went yesterday …
Well me and my wife like Waterbury hospital there staff Care about your we’ll being, and the Doctors and very caring about their patients well-being…
I’ll give Waterbury Hospital a five thumbs up for Excellency…
This hospital is close to home therefore convenient. They fortunately took me in quickly for the problem I was having this night. Staff was attentive and friendly.
I waited a lot I get there at 2:00 ND got out at 1:35 around that time but it was worth it the I need to see what’s wrong why I was in soo much pain that’s waterbury hospital I now know is not life threatening. Thank u soon much
Nurse didn’t help or be more affectionate especially when I asked her if she can get my dad help since he was in pain. All she did was ask on a scale of 1-10 and my dad told her a 9. She just said I can’t do anything and walked away. Then …
The blood draw place in naugatuck very slow, she loves to talk! Waited an hour with 3 people before me, walked out, went to the Middlebury location, in and out in 10 minutes
Had a new baby most the nurses where fine but the head nurse is rude and defensive along with that even the nurses say that she likes to pick someone and keep harassing them till would not recommend made the stay an emotional nightmare
I don’t know what has happened but this hospital is not the same. Several hours without any Doctor, nurse labwork done. Asked 4 different people to help for bathroom while attached on iv fluid from paramedics. All I headed was staff complaining and patients saying they been there for 10 + hours without seeing a doctor.
My experience at Waterbury hospital on 9/13/2022 was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life ! I sat in excruciating pain for more than 4 hours and still being told there was a 6 hr wait . I’ve watched as other ppl who were in worst …
I was in pain and unable to use the rest room. After several hours of waiting for blood tests and an ultra sound. I was told that it’s mostlikely a stomach bug and sent home. That was Thursday. Its Saturday and I’m still in pain and still unable to use the rest room.
I’m going to the ER and my wait was not long at all, the nurses and doctor was great and the doctor actually spent time with me before my departure to explain everything in detail. Highly recommend
They don’t even deserve a star. I had to give one in order to share how dissatisfied I am with them. There isn’t a thing I can think of to be satisfied with and are lucky I didn’t sue or file a petition.
The X-ray tech was absolutely amazing with my five year old son. She made him feel very comfortable and even showed him his pictures which made his day!
I went in for a migraine but I explained many other symptoms that led to it. They did no test, no bloodwork, just gave me a medication cocktail and let me sleep it off. I went home with the SAME migraine. I was just too tired and stressed out to urge them. I just wanted to go home after being there from
330-almost 9p.
Yes its a very busy hospital but I was treated fairly and well here. I felt my health was a priority to my nurses and doctors. I was seen in ER and then admitted for the FLU. I would always choose this hospital over st marys. In waterbury
Honestly had the Worst experience of my life w this hospital. Even going back to get medical records + copies of disks. Every person I encountered during the journey..staff attitudes were horrible at Best. Should not even be 1 star. Never going back here.
Be prepared to wait for hours in the waiting room. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. I stayed here for 3 days due to pancreatitis. I spent an entire day puking my brains out in so much pain because it took the doctor 5-6 …
My nurses on 2nd floor room 2009, were fabulous! Big thanks to Cathy, Crystal, Yana(nice Russian woman) and the other nurses ( whose nanes escape me, sorry) who helped me feel comfortable and cared for. Very positive experience. 😍 …
The ER was jam-packed, and I was in alot of pain. The ED team compensated by performing all the test analyses from the waiting room (blood and CT Scan). Very efficient use of resources. The bad thing was not alot of good explanation from ED …
The docs were great! Especially Dr. Saba, Dr. Pan and the Russian speaking doc on Team One. Most PCA’s were attentive. There is, however, a communication issue between NPO orders, the patient and dietary. I was unaware I was NPO for an …
I was attended to immediately with kindness and professionalism!
I would never hesitate to choose Waterbury Hospital again and would certainly recommend if a need arises. …
Er.. yesterday. Waited for 8 hours + and was there for 12. No sense of urgency. Had me (pregnant) less then 2 ft from a woman with covid.. (i didnt have covid!) Tbh it was a little crazy this visit. Usually i prefer them very disappointed 😞 9am-9pm …
Nurses and physicians were kind and listened to concerns, but the reality is that the er is way understaffed and at the breaking point. Not nearly enough beds/rooms and staff to care, expect to wait 3 hours or more before getting treated. I guess this is emblematic of the American healthcare system in general.
First hospital stay ever. Very impressed with the attention received. I understand how hospitals are often the largest employer in some towns and cities. All good here. Thanks.
Arrived at ER at 6:30pm was told it was a six hour wait. The time is 2:10 am and now being told it’s another 2 hour wait. The health care system is broken and terrible and disgusting!!! We should be able to do way better than this!!! In the meantime you sit in the waiting room in terrible pain and they do nothing!!!!
This hospital was dirty and had patients screaming in the halls. I understand that there are no rooms available but at the very least when someone throws up in the hall it would be nice if you guys could not just say that’s I’m not his nurse and walk away.
Only reason I gave it one star is cause it’s the only way I could leave a review but they definitely deserve a negative 10 stars I was diagnosed with anemia prior to going to Waterbury hospital , I had an injury where I was bleeding …
I chose Waterbury Hospital because Hungerford Hospital didn’t give me the care I needed. I have cellulitis in my feet and legs. I was giving oral antibiotics by Charlotte Hungerford and the medication didn’t help. Waterbury Hospital put an …
My thing to healthcare is that you can run across a pandemic at any time and we are in the era of Covid and when people do not want to come in your room or bring you your food on time handing you cold food or no clean linen. I should not …
All staff showed genuine concern. Wait was longer than I would have liked though it was very clear all staff were doing everything they could to get Emergency Dept patients seen as quickly as possible. During an overnight admission after …

My 13 year old came into the ER via ambulance with a broken leg from a football scrimmage. We proceeded to sit in the hallway for almost 3 hours!!! They offered no pain meds nor did they attempt to make his case an emergency. His tibia and …
Where to begin it took 9 hrs to actually get a room. They did not meet the needs for myself. Yes they did take care of my UTI but I had many other things going on and they looked right past it.
Admitted for 5 days with pneumonia. Everyone treated me well. Very professional on Administering my meds, vitals, etc. Asking if I need anything friendly respectful staff. Thank you
I am just sole caregiver of my children I’ve had sole custody of my children for over 9 years now. I took my son to the hospital because he was having an episode. I was hoping to get someone to talk to him. Waterbury hospital did not speak …
The staff of the main ER , the manager, William and others who showed concern taking of our health. Words are inadequate to Express our gratitude towards them. May the Almighty God reward them richly in the pursuit of their dreams in the health care field.
Absolutely horrible they really need to improve mental health services for youth I will say I was impressed with their trauma response & emergency trauma surgery though. As a retired EMT seeing what services were from yrs ago to now I’m …
My time was extremely painful and abusive there. They took me in, I was in GREAT PAIN, GREAT DISTRESS AND I needed someone to talk to as I was in tears of the wonderful pain I was enjoying immensely! The took my clothes off and stuck me in …
Some of the staff was very nice, but it took a week to do all the tests on my mother. And then she tested positive for covid 2 days after being released and infected the rest of the family.
Had high blood pressure, migraine and blurry vision, they did an EKG blood work and told me to go wait in hallway. People complained of being there for 4 to 6 hours without being seen, so I left, they told me I could walk out and leave no …
Absolutely horrendous. I would literally go anywhere else before I went back here again. The only positive was my attending nurse was so kind. They definitely do not deserve her at this disaster.
Nurse on ER is so rude to people and non proportional at all. A gentleman ask for timing on how much longer the wait will be and lady told there is people waiting for more than 10 hours and they are not complaining. He was not complaining he was asking a question.
Waterbury Hospital blood drawing lab at Alliance Health facility is a quality operation. The staff are kind to we patients who need our blood drawn. More importantly, the two phlebotomists who drew blood from my wife and me did an expert …

Nurse Theresa who helped my daughter was absolutely amazing. She was kind, compassionate and empathetic towards her. I cannot thank her enough and the staff for their help
I entered the ER because I wasn’t passing a kidney stone; *won* a trip to the OR and 3 day, 2 night stay. Every professional was friendly, listened, and showed concerned with my complaints. Physicians and nurses explained everything that …
I came in with chest pain, and spoke to. Very kind Triage nurse and had an EKG right away. Unfortunately I then sat in the waiting room for 4-5 hrs without one person saying a word to me. I decided to leave on my own accord.

I used the Middlebury Ct. location to have blood drawn for routine tests. The location is convenient and parking ample. Beautiful building with an elevator to the third floor. Pleasant efficient staff, and I was in and out in a very short amount of time.

I was there for a really long time. I heard people saying that they had been there since 6am. Two staff members were nice but the rest were lack luster at best. I was in a lot of extreme pain. I had a friend pick me up and went to Midstate …
Stayed there a couple days after surgery. The doctors the residents and the nurses were all kind and caring. Thank you for taken great care of me in the surgical floor.
I arrived late morning on Monday. There was only one other person waiting for bloodwork, which was a relief because I left another facility earlier that the waiting room was filled and more were standing in the hallway waiting. The staff here was down to earth and personable. I recommend this location for anyone who needs labwork.
Could not have had a better experience. From the time I entered the door. Super helpful workers. The staff and doctor at the wound care center were amazing. Everyone at the Lab made me feel comfortable

The ultrasound tech was excellent. Very friendly and professional. The registration process did not have an easy flow. Having to register in one place and checking in somewhere else is very confusing to patients. I work at Waterbury Hosp and they should strive to make it as easy as possible for the patients
The care was perfect. I was seen right away. I was evaluated and given explanation for my ailment. Medication was prescribed for me and a pack of papers on Precedures to follow. The Dr. was very compassionate and well informed of the info …
I always liked Waterbury hospital. The ED doctors had a good response time as well as nursing. Not thrilled with her care on the 4th floor , some of the nurses and aids were great especially Hannah, a few not so much. I asked to be called by a doctor on Sunday , never heard from one. In two days I met with a hospitalist once,

In the ER, even though we spent the entire night in the hallway, we were made to feel comfortable and consistently checked on….Brenda and Kat were our assigned nurses and we were astonished at the level of professionalism, knowledge and …
The receptionist was excellent. Some of the nurses were very accommodating and others were not proficient. One had a terrible attitude. The group didn’t seem that cohesive. Some of my injuries went completely untreated. They found my ankle to be broken but aside from that, I would have been better off staying home.
I was in the waiting room for more than 6 hours before seeing a doctor for the first time. I was not the only person who waited that long. Even after seeing the doctor he ordered blood work and after 35 minutes and no came to draw blood. I …

I was in the cardiac unit for the cardiac ICU in January and regular cardiac unit in November. Both times find nursing staff congenial and attentive. If maybe one staff member didn’t make the cut, the other 99% more than compensate. I felt comfortable and well taken care of.
What can i say! No one wants to be in the hospital with your child. But Jordan (PA) Paige (RN) Michael (surgeon) made it so easy and took great care of my daughter Bella. I was so worried but they were attentive and so careful in explaining every detail before , during and after remaining close to answer my questions. Thanks guya

The check in registration staff was awesome this time. I’ve had prior horror stories. Once at cardiology i also received excellent care. From registration staff. My technician was Jennifer and she was professional, knowledgeable and caring. I don’t think I’d make it thru difficult test without her.
I was placed in a room which was filled with supplies without a call light. I was there for @ 2hours without anyone doing anything for me. Eventually I was moved into another room which was more like a hospital room. Someone assessed me and …

I had a great experience at Waterbury Hospital Emergency Room. I was 4 hours in and out – which may have more to do with my particular issue – but the staff was efficient, friendly and caring. The doctor was thorough and informative. Compared to my last 2 ER visits at another hospital – it was 100% better all around.

the worst hospital in the world.I was waiting 6 hours for them to attend me and that never happened… I don’t understand why they send me this survey if they never attended me and I asked to be removed from the system because I was going home.
They were very nice and explained my procedure. A fantastic group of nurses and doctors who took great care of me
Came into the Er and what was wrong was much more serious that I tought. They got me right in for surgery and did a great job all around.

I was in the hospital for something related to addiction and they did not treat me any different than anyone else. I was treated with respect. They saved my life.

Radiologist was very caring and concerned about delay in service due to an emergency patient was slotted in Front of me. It was smooth appointment

The staff was very accommodating as soon as I walked in feeling awful. The doctor even met me in the triage room to start evaluation of my conditions.
Staff politness was a 5 star wait time was a 3 star. Facilities average. Some equipment need upgrades
Great care and very professional staff.
The bathroom floors were very dirty and unsanitary, not good for germ contamination and bacteria buildup.
I had back surgery last summer and had a good experience with the attentiveness from all the staff

ED was WAY under staffed. We were there for over 12 hours. Finally, after being admitted, took an additional 2 hours before we got upstairs to a room.
My near ending experience was handled with kid gloves. Professional, polite and caring. Please! Never again. Thanks to Waterbury Hospital.
Everything went fine, nurses and doctors were very professional and caring. From the time I was checked in to my discharge was quick and efficient.
We took my mother to the ER a few days ago from today.
I didn’t feel like they could give her quite the attention she needed, though …
From admission to discharge, the experience at Waterbury Hospital exceeded expectations.
Please extend my sincere thanks to the nursing staff in surgical ICU and the RNs …
Everyone that I came in contact was efficient, professional, knowledgeable and friendly! …
The PA and nurses were wonderful with my autistic son. Took very good care of him and very compassionate.
Tina, phlebotomy, was efficient and drew my specimen Expertly! NO PAIN involved . Than you. Sylvia 2/2/2023
Wall to wall people and visitors.
Bathroom was disgusting.
Not the Waterbury Hospital it was years ago.
Do better.
The service was very caring & lovable. The entire medical team, maintenance, everyone was lovely. Thank you for a great experience!
Everyone was absolutely wonderful.
Very long waiting but due to very large population of very sick people!!!
Every person was very kind and attentive!
The staff in the outpatient testing clinic are very professional and pleasant. My visit was quick and efficient
The nurses and AIDS were very professional, pleasant and helpful. They were attentive to my needs and were very accommodated
Except for the 5 hour wait in the waiting room, the staff was absolutely wonderful to me! My first time at Waterbury hospital, excellent care!

Slight delay ER was very busy. Staff was respectful and following CDC guidelines. They got us a quarantine room and everyhing went smoothly.
Some of the staff was very nice, but it took a week to do all the tests on my mother. And then she tested positive for covid 2 days after being released and infected the rest of the family.
Had high blood pressure, migraine and blurry vision, they did an EKG blood work and told me to go wait in hallway. People complained of being there for 4 to 6 hours without being seen, so I left, they told me I could walk out and leave no …
I chose W.H. because of previous visit &
Their Cardic Team.
I was treated with respect. …

Nurse Theresa who helped my daughter was absolutely amazing. She was kind, compassionate and empathetic towards her. I cannot thank her enough and the staff for their help

I never had surgery before. Entire staff was so compassionate comforting professional and caring. Loved all my nurses that went above and beyond.
I came in with chest pain, and spoke to. Very kind Triage nurse and had an EKG right away. Unfortunately I then sat in the waiting room for 4-5 hrs without one person saying a word to me. I decided to leave on my own accord.
My experience at waterbury hospital was a swift visit, check in as pretty quick and to register was was also quick , they seem concern about my visit and didn’t last more than an hour. My questions were answered and I was overall pleased …

I used the Middlebury Ct. location to have blood drawn for routine tests. The location is convenient and parking ample. Beautiful building with an elevator to the third floor. Pleasant efficient staff, and I was in and out in a very short amount of time.

I had a great experience at Waterbury Hospital Emergency Room. I was 4 hours in and out – which may have more to do with my particular issue – but the staff was efficient, friendly and caring.
