Portland Gastroenterology Reviews ( 99 )

  1. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a doctor’s office. Had a colonoscopy and endoscopy. All the nurses and Dr Stefan were wonderful! Kind, thoughtful, professional! A+++ Thank you!!

  2. This practice is seriously lacking. I incurred thousands of dollars in unnecessary medical testing because their staff are not coordinated in their care and physicians are not paying attention.

  3. Go someplace else. This place is what’s wrong with America. They herd people through as fast as they can to get your insurance claim $$, they don’t listen, are rude, and way over-booked. Unprofessional. They ought to be ashamed.

  4. Can’t even get through to the practice to schedule my appointment. Each time I call, I’m on hold for 10 minutes or more then it just hangs up. Left multiple messages with no call back.

  5. Impossible to get in with them. Tried for a solid three months to get in to he seen by a doctor and was never able to due to having to jump through a bunch of hoops. Would rather deal with constant flair ups than try to get in with them.

  6. Customer service is terrible. One women was laughing on the phone and clearly having another conversation while I was trying to schedule an appointment. They also forget to order tests so you have to call everyone and end up doing their work for them. Would not recommend!

  7. They don’t actually want to help you. I was referred for heartburn and they did a colonoscopy. I still have never seen a doctor. Their phone system is a joke. Go somewhere else.

  8. Seek their treatment at your own health and financial peril. They’re either incompetent, or out to soak patients and insurances for money by ordering as much unnecessary testing as possible, or both. They are not patient-centered.

  9. This place was fantastic. Literature was promptly mailed out that clearly explained the procedure and how to prep for it. The staff was so nice and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone for their gastroenterology needs.

  10. It’s the most comfortable I’ve been going into the procedure. Thank you Dr Goldman and your hard working staff for the attention and making the procedure go off without a hitch. In addition thank you for all the clear and concise information provided me after the procedure.

  11. Got you all beat. TWO YEARS after my doctor sent me to them with a referral, they’ve just now sent me an appointment – for April. Can they POSSIBLY be waiting for a lawsuit? Got my colonoscopy done at Mercy.

  12. I have been going to them for the last 16 years because of a rare Pancreatic problem. At first they were able to help Me with My problem and made sure I was comfortable during and after the procedure. They did explain and answered any …

  16. You should let the responsible party know that it is a drop off and pick up. We live far enough where going home wasn’t an option. Not to mention the patient wanted me there with him.

  17. I had a great experience at Portland Gastroenterology Center. Bryan was the best, and made me feel very comfortable before the procedure. Everything ran very smoothly, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

  18. I have been a patient there for many years. A couple of months ago, something happened where I could no longer eat or drink. I was weak and dehydrated. ER doc said to call my GI doc. A week or so later Dr. M told me it was an ENT issue not …

  19. I just had the second colonoscopy of my life, this time at the Portland Gastroenterology Center. Dr. Joshua Goldman performed the procedure. We have the same last name but are not related! No one really wants to have a colonoscopy, but it …

  20. The worst practice I have ever dealt with. It shouldn’t take 72hrs to a week to hear back from the office. It shouldn’t take a manager 1 week and a day to call you back when you had an issue. The dr has no personality and she definitely …

  21. Great place the people are friendly and kept me comfortable I was surprised at how people put so much value in a star review rating. These are hard working people. I was totally informed and felt like I was in good hands. If a star ratings …

  29. Extremely rude front desk people, they are annoyed when you bring up anything regarding the bill, especially when they billed the insurance wrong on 3 separate occasions. Plenty of other offices to go to that will actually give you the time of day and not sound annoyed with you for any slight inconvenience.

  50. The women at the front desk are very unhelpful and rude. Doctors here are great. Good luck getting through on the phone, having any follow up calls from admin, etc. It’s the front desk that earns low ratings

  51. This office is so horribly disorganized and the staff could not care less. It takes months to get a call back to even get an appointment scheduled. They are the worst at communicating with their patients and it has been going on for years. The whole vibe of this place is disconcerting.

  52. Over the years (40 of them) I have had wonderful care from the medical staff. Up until a few years ago, the administrative staff was equally responsive and helpful. This is no longer the case. For the most part, they are rude and impatient. …
