  4. $65 pure-profit “new connection fee” to change a name in the computer. Power has already been connected and running for years. Unbelievable. Even Alabama Power, the evil empire, is cheaper.

  5. I absolutely hate ops. I’ve never experience anything like them. They beat you out of every dime you have and coustmer service is so poor. They will turn you off for $5.00. Never in my life! People’s company my ass they act more like Loan sharks!

  6. I can’t understand the complaints. We’ve been with Opelika Power for seven years and have had only positive experiences. We have the entire bundle (TV, DVR, Wifi, internet, etc.) and everything works perfectly.

  7. They have a horrible system for billing and poor attitude with people….their customers! We got a delinquent notice for 10 dollars unpaid. My account is set up on automatic payment. The 10 dollars was because we did not bring our trash can down from the street. Makes no sense

Trying to get fiber is more of a hassle than dealing with Charter (due to always being referred to one woman in OPS office who is a real b|tch) so I continue to recommend cable internet for businesses clients. I can’t be the only one who has experienced similar issues, so maybe that’s why they are losing money….

  10. The website is terrible. I am unable to update payment info, when I contacted them to fix this the employee’s answer wast to just cancel my auto-pay accounts and delete the info wholesale. The same initial website problem is still happening so I can’t even go back in and re-add the payment information.
