St Clair Hospital (PA) Reviews ( 203 )

  1. Brought my client into the emergency department concerning an abdominal issue.
First nurse we had an encounter with was rude about the reason we came to the er …

  2. Very happy with my primary physician and their assistant PA but everything else is horrible, MRI department in peters township act like juveniles, and I’ll be putting in a formal complaint about the MRI technologist that day. He may know his job but he does not know how to deal with people!!!

  3. If there was an option for zero stars they most definitely deserve it. My mother was rushed there two weeks ago, severe lung infection. They put her in the ICU on isolation claiming she might have tuberculosis. They did tests that were …

  4. I used to highly recommend St. Clair to family and friends. But lately the hospital has been very disappointing. There is absolutely no more bedside manor. I do not appreciate hearing nurse’s talk so loud and freely about patients that the …

  5. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. They took me right in and there was no need to wait in a waiting room for hours. Friendly staff and very professional.

  6. Slow er service….. Come in for shortness of breath and wait over 45 min to get triaged then wait over an hour for a doctor to come in. They say they have a fast ER no way not at this hospital…

  7. Completely incompetent staff. Was continuously lied to while everyone we meet passed us on to another department and blamed each other. Was a true amateur hour.

  8. Sitting here waiting and waiting while people who have come after us have been taken back. I checked in with the registration person asking if there was anything else she needed from US and she was nasty. Long wait and rude registration staff

  9. THIS IS THE WORST HOSPITAL!!!! If you think otherwise your a idiot… the doctors are conceited and major jerks.. they treat everybody like drug addicts and refuse to treat your pain… in less its the WONDER DRUG…. MOTRIN….

  10. If you call they have no clue what your talking about. They can’t find your doctor or appointment by name. You go through tons of ppl and no one knows nothin . Thats Pennsylvania.

  11. 2.5 hours on a Saturday morning for a 15 minute consult. When we asked to see the MD it was if we were imposing. Either not staffed appropriately or MD doesn’t know how to run her ER.

  12. I’m going to make this short, my last visit was not very good. The service I normally receive wasn’t there this visit…it seems since becoming part of Marshfield clinic the quality of care has taken a hit.

  13. They are a very good hospital. and best of all they know when they are over there head.. and they will send you to someone that can help if they can’t, it saved my wifes life because they know she was to critical for them….

  14. Rude and unprofessional front desk staff at the main entrance where you go for doctors appointments. Unhelpful old ladies who will be rude to you and nasty just for asking a question.

  15. Wow this place needs some work. Zero accountability apparently, and far less training then ever expected. You would’ve thought these were trainee’s going through a practice run. Lost medical charts, wrong medication, terrible shift …

  16. I came rushing to ER to meet my mother. They could not locate her. ER parking was full. I had to park in the back lot and find way to ER. Then when they do take me to her she was lying in the hall. Is this a hope violation

  17. Last month I was a patient on the 6th Floor. The nursing staff was outstanding and everyone was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. My doctors were “the best!”

  18. Took daughter here. The staff are caring and genuinely seem to care about making sure you get the best medical care. I hope I never visit again, but for good reasons.

  19. Very disappointed. Heard great reviews.
    My overall experience was not.
Mission statement posted on wall in the Er-waiting room is not what you receive.Service and treatment was very poor.

  20. The nurse was very rude and not helpful at all. I was with two kids waiting for 2 hours and was treated with ignorance and arrogance. Never coming back to St Clair hospital back again.

  21. This hospital is horrible as far as parking and employees knowing where to send someone that is looking for others 2 year old granddaughter. Dr seems fine but the rest is all bad. I never want to have to come again

  22. Completely useless, my wife had her appendix out yesterday at 5pm and was supposed to be released this morning. It is now 5pm 24hrs later and the nurse says there is only 1 dr. that can release her and hes been scheduled for surgery all day and she has no idea when he will be done.

  23. 5 star for the working staff at the hospital. But 0 star for the customer assistance over the phone. Called multiple times over the last month. Can’t get a living soul to even try to pay my bill!

  24. Hospitals can always improve. Not all staff give 100 percent. And I’m sure there are areas that could be tweaked. But compared to Jefferson Hospital, I would pick St. Clair 100 times.

  25. This hospital has a lot to learn about patient care. They can’t even do lab services or register a patient without making it complicated and complaining about doing their job. If you have a choice choose another hospital. Abysmal service.

  26. Ok so my husband had to go here, right. Well he said everyone was very nice nurses and doctor however…. They let him walk out with his hand looking like this. Said they were going to clean it up then forgot. Sent him out with his hand looking like this….

  27. I have been there twice this month complaining of the same problem and they just send me home as if nothing is wrong. I am a diabetic and have not been able to keep any food down for almost 2 months and its just been getting worse. When I …

  29. It was a little rocky at first but finally a hospital that take their time to figure out what’s wrong with you not just shove medicine down your throat. The even asked about the little things that wasn’t even bothering me, like they …

  30. Staff were extremely disorganized and rude. Made to go to multiple different units to attempt to get an admittance before finally ending up back where I started. Staff needs better training. Plenty of other local hospitals that know what they are doing.

  31. Doctors said my mother would get discharged at 2:00 no problem. The nurses walk around the hospital laughing and almost 2 hours later… Suprise! No discharge! This is the second time with an unpleasant experience

  32. St Clair has been harassing me with bills over and over. I paid two of the bills equaling 100s of dollars and I get another one. When I call they refuse to help me and say they will notate my account to pay later.. I have medical insurance …

  33. When I first went to there emergency room, I thought it was GREAT, but a month has gone by now sending me stuff about the bill???? It’s a workmans comp case, send bill questions to my place of work, NOT me , I even said to the receptionist …

  34. My husband was admitted tithe ER he had to stay overnight in case he needed surgery the next morning. We have been married for 10years. Stayed the night. At was about 3am.The nurse came in and said she had to kick me out because her supervisor had said so. Very nasty staff.

  35. Experienced another great out patient visit today. The way the staff in all areas
focus on the patients is amazing. At age 75 I do have some wisdom and
awareness of people happy with there work enviroment. Prayers and Peace
    to all.

  36. Went to the emergency department with severe pain. Left after 4 hours of waiting to go to AHN. I was seen immediately. I would NEVER return to this filthy emergency department.

  37. Like any hospital, your experience can be good or bad. My chief complaint is that when accompanying someone to the hospital at 3 A.M., or waiting for several hours, if you need coffee or a bite to eat after hours of waiting, the only …

  38. The front desk woman at The ER was not only rude but basically made up a rule claiming I couldn’t fill out my pink patient check in paper next to a 80 year old woman because “Patient Confidentiality Law”…. RIGHT.. So I go to the waiting …

  39. Not equipt to take care of preemies. My sister and law and one twin is there but sent the other twin to another hospital. Absolutely ridiculous. Wouldn’t let her hold twin b because baby was on oxygen. Wish she would of gave birth at Ruby in WV they would of got better care and been together. Rather than split them up.

  40. In addition to what’s probably close to malpractice, with the way that they treated my wife, refusing to believe that she had an issue that she actually did have. Refusing to act on that issue, and their negligence leading to an eventual …

  41. My grandfather in law is a patient there. The nursing staff is not only lazy, but detrimental to patients lives. My mother in law has had a horrible experience with him being there. They leave him in dirty undergarments, bc he is bed …

  45. Upon taking a family member twice to the ER, we ask both times if they do Covid testing due to symptoms and we were told the ER does not do Covid testing by the Attending physician , well after a charge of 2 ER visits (400.00ea) and after getting tested , the patient tested positive and was very ill, thank you ER Doctor!

  46. I must say the best hospital by far. Everyone waas just so nice didn’t treat me the way Canonsbrug did they was just rudest and treat everyone as junkies. I will only go to st Clair, so much respect for them, never made me feel less of a …

  47. Even on a very busy night in the ER the staff was very helpful and very nice. The wait was pretty long but it was completely understandable. The nurse even went as far as to find me a charger for my phone so I could call for a ride home at 2am. Above and beyond.

  48. I called looking for the name of a gastroenterologist to use as I am newer in the area. I was tersely told to call the physician referral service. I called them and the message says they are open M-F 8:30 to 4. It was FRiday at 12:45 and no …

  49. I wouldn’t go back there if my head was split open. The emergency nurses are fantastic, but the doctors and nurses on the floor have attitudes and treat you like you’re a nuisance to them. And if you care about your HIPAA rights, you can forget it! They treat you like a number, not a patient. Awful experience.

  50. Unfortunately, at age 61, I had to have surgery for the very first time. My doctors had to remove a nodule from my left lung and perform a surgical biopsy of a paraspinal mass. Good news is that there were no signs of malignancy for which …

  53. I was admitted with Covid and pneumonia and these nurses and doctors and c n a treated me like royalty with kindness and care and empathy
Now recovering at home and this is the most caring hospital and that’s why both …

  54. The hospital is either under-staffed or extremely inefficient. The valet parking was nice but gave a false sense of urgency- once you’re hustled in the door, your trapped for hours! Almost as bad as Family Court- only staff is friendly here.

  55. I would bring my wife here to have another child. What higher recommendation can I give? Everyone goes above and beyond. Even our panic driven ER visit with baby was calmly and professionally treated. …

  78. Today, my mom was a breast cancer patient. I don’t know much about the hospital in general, but her nurse Heather had the best bedside manner of any nurse that I have ever seen. She was so kind and helpful. Her voice was soothing and positive. It helped to turn a really hard situation into a much easier one for all of us.
