Not much to say about this place. Its located at the end of the yellow and green max line. Or the beginning which ever way your going. Its also next to the freeway on and off ramp.
The red-headed stepchild of the Oregon University System and largest university on the state. Manages to have some really great and interesting things, despite its many flaws.
This is what happens when administrators with no backbone give way to grievance politics students who have no idea what they’re talking about. Disgraceful. Intersectional feminism is unscientific and authoritarian.
I feel very interesting about the campus, on one side it looks like a shopping mall outlet and from another side of the entrance it looks like an estate, oh such an interesting campus, but things look much better when I walk inside of it
I attended a lecture by Professor Cooper. He was magnificent. He could have been a professor at any big-name college. To have him in Portland is a credit to PSU.
Great school, however parking is very limited and expensive. Be prepared to either get there early or maybe consider trimet. Other than that nothing but good experiences.

Loved my experience at PSU. Their School of Business and the structure of how they put together an education is amazing! 20 years later I would still choose to go there.

But people should have a right to express their speech when renting a room and not being shut down. That was unacceptable and a formal statement was not given.

nice campus and sport… lot of weekend feature and a nice courtyard and library. I visit there while my kids getting their education there… I don’t know the it that much, but buildings are nice and lot of improvement projects keep the place up to date.
I have been attending PSU for ~6 years now. That’s right, I’m taking far too long to complete my degree but that’s beside the point. The school as a whole has its problems such as class sizes that are too large, but the mechanical engineering program has taught me a great deal and landed me an internship with a great company.
I graduated in 2012 and am well on my way to a successful career already. I largely attribute this to my time at Portland State. PSU offers absolutely everything that a student needs to thrive in university. Challenging professors, diverse …
It is ok. The campus is huge but has a lot of transportation. Food and coffee always available. Social life is decent. Lots of clubs. The way it is run though leaves some to be desired.
Portland State University is one of the most diverse university in Oregon that I know of. The location is perfect for someone who likes living in the city. Everything is walking distance (mall, grocery store, gym, etc). There is also a lot …
The Finance curriculum is pretty good at PSU, It covers very broadly all the spectrums of Finance, plus a strong understanding of Accounting as well. Totally recommend!
I just finished my first quarter at PSU and so far it has its ups and downs. I was stuck with a very unambitious professor and one that had never taught before. However, this did not tarnish my experience. This campus is filled with some of …
Our daughter gas attended PSU for 2 years. I enjoy the way the university is integrated into down town Portland. The school itself is widely diversified. Wonderful school of business and art po programs.

As Universities go, mediocre to no community campus life during shutdown. This is not critical of PSU’s academics, since I’m not a student just an adjoining neighbor.
Like a Kafka novel. I was dual-enrolled here and at PCC. They made a reporting error that threatened my financial aid. I needed one (1) signature on a form to restore my aid. The financial aid office told me they will process it “within a …
Definitely an above average university that is built in the heart of Portland. Simply walking around the campus is a pleasure. They offer great majors specially in engineering. Most, if not all, of the professor have great attitudes and care about their students education. So far I have been loving this university.
Great inner city college campus. Feels secluded, special, and open when you’re walking through the campus. Very easy access to great Portland amenities.
I went here for a campus visit. It was so cool. Very diverse student body, Public transit is pretty nice and not what you think of for public transit. It is so green, and the university is incorporated into downtown Portland. Portland …
Boston and Bay Area offer great schools but my most enjoyable academic experience was right here at PSU. A fine school in a marvelous city in a fabulous state. It doesn’t get better than this.
I am currently a freshman attending Portland State University and I can honestly say it’s not what I expected, but not necessarily in a bad way. Being in downtown Portland the campus is much different from the average 4-year universities’ …

Lincoln Hall on the PSU campus is a great, intimate venue for chamber music concerts, plays, and other small-scale productions. Quite decent accoustics, excellent sight lines from all seats, and very comfortable seating as well. Go!
I graduated from here. It’s a decent school but I had few suspect instructors. The campus is awesome with being in a city atmosphere. Portland city government needs to figure out helpful options to cut down the number of tents popping up on the streets and sidewalks. Government sponsored jobs for homeless?
I use to love Portland State University but Michael Roche completely changed that for me. He was completely unprofessional and downright nasty when I was trying to ask for help as a veteran looking to go back to school. It’s hard to look past an experience like that.
I went to the campus that is located in Beaverton and they are a building off site of the campus but have a Transit center right directly across from the campus making it very convenient for anyone that would like to take that versus …
It was such a beautiful day I had gone to Sheridan’s Market. Which, I have to say, is one of the best places I’ve found in Portland since moving here 8 years ago. I decided to go and sit under the trees in the Park blocks. I read the first …
As someone who graduated in 2016, I can tell that the tuition increased immensely from my first year in 2011. Fees increased quarter after quarter, year after year. And lots of odd fee categories were added, ex building fee. …
It was interesting to open a market for fresh fruits and vegetables in college.
It looked small on the outside, but there are far more than 100 schools.
There were not many students on vacation.
I bought Viking-shaped pitches as a souvenir.
University Hotel/ Viking House, very nice, very clean, very friendly folks , pool, excersize room, you won’t be disappointed, series 100-200-300 rooms…City of Roses…
Went here to see a friend who did a grad study. I was impressed with how green and well designed the campus was. Its a peaceful enclave located very near from downtown.
Where as Oregon State University makes Corvallis what it is, Portland makes Portland State University what it is. Excellent having talented professors and research because of the city.
I wouldn’t recommend the applied health degree. Be prepared to learn about how wage and resource disparity adversely affects your health and have to continue living in it. This degree alone will not elevate you economically. I feel I was misled about the opportunities available to a graduate with this degree.

Diverse student body and pretty campus
Do not care about their students’ safety!!!
Wow. You really did it. Thank you
This is where I go to school. Some teacher are not good teachers.

Beautiful campus in the center of downtown Portland.
Best school in Portland… My school ❤️
Only thing downtown that not all busted up
Wish it was cheaper. They keep raising tuition. Might need to revolt soon.
Absolutely horrible support for the disabled.
Probably the most disappointing part of Portland.
Best school for Electrical Engineering!
Lots of interesting people, classes and teachers!
Terrible left leaning institution indoctrinating our people. 0/10
Loved visiting my niece
of the city. It is quickly becoming the capital of sustainability research.
Future PSU Viking after being a future PPC Panther
Great place to go to school and live!!
School is great. They have teachers.
EE program for masters was one of the finest.
Its a great school, I love being here.
great school im going there this year
Friendly and attentive staff. Great service
the campus and the professors are awesome, but the school is expensive.
What used to be a beautiful area has gone down hill fast
Great Universality. Great park settling. Good reeducation.
Great school. The gave me a degree👍 …
Just picked up our granddaughter for doctor appointment
Great food trucks around!!!!!
If you value academic rigor and free thought, do not come here.
Business school is the most popular school in PSU
Great place near ohsu. Fantastic people.
It is a great school with many student benefits.
Fun diy sk8 spot. Go get ya some.
Portland State University is a great university in the Portland area which is enviormentally sustainable!
Very scary people walking around. Not a safe area at all
Been here 4 days and absolutely love it
Great adm tour. Chuck rocks !!
Amazing staff, students and medical team.
The cost far outweighs the benefits. Student loans are crippling.
Live music is the best medicine
Nice location respectively submitted!! PSU IS ALIVE AND WELL.
Not much to do or look at during the summer at 11pm
Easy to get to. Easy to enroll. Great experience.
Pacefull, ancient, cool place
Beautiful full of powerful Wizards and humans who care.
Oh and puppies
Dumb admin group and dump campus paper!! Last semester i am staying in this dung heep.
It was weird. Building were scattered around the city, no real campus.
I wouldn’t recommend unless you are a social justice activist
Great place to experience college education and the city of Portland.
This University is performing disciplinary action towards someone who’s intentionally fake and absurd papers were published as fact.
Taking care of generation after generation and doing a great job.
Beautiful campus! Awesome farmers market on the weekends!
It’s cool and all, but degrees are expensive. The geography department is pretty rad.
Filled with rich kids, but way better lectures than in community college, if you can afford it.
Great place to go to school = Cheap MBA Program with good professors.
Beautiful area but the homeless create a down side to the city
I like how diverse PSU is, great free programs to help students, Thank you
A beautiful facility, take a day look around.
Its ghost town right now with coved. Plus its in between terms. But am sure things will come back around soon.
This is more about the Farmer’s Market in the area which is a great experience… the location of the university is beautiful
I have never felt so unsafe, it’s like the school doesn’t do anything
Oregon’s largest and finest university. Always doing fun stuff and always something to learn in the heart of downtown PDX.
Lots of people, weather was great. Found what we were looking for.
Very peaceful, clean, and nice to visit.
They do a great job of reaching out and connecting with high school kids to get them passionate about learning.
Amazing institution of higher learning! Great student body, interactive faculty and staff, and a GREAAAAT recreation center.
Way cool ! , maybe not , time may be growing short for me here . .
you would-be intellectuals don’t even know how the Roman empire came to its end, do you? 🤔🤔🤔 …
Great school. You get out what you put into it, and if you work hard, this school can be very rewarding.
Had an internship here. Awesome Drop Tower Facility! Really cool people running the lab too
Charged tuition for a class that was never taken. Tried to get it canceled but the bureaucracy made it so I gave up.
Impossible to apply to if you need any financial aid whatsoever. Don’t waste your time
I got my Bachelor’s here, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
This is a great school if you take advantage of what they offer. Tuition is adequate for the education that you get.
I lived here as a junior and loved it. Close to safeway, and the library. There’s also a coffee shop right next door!
Cool spot and all but I’ve also never seen so many rats at night before.
Good teachers, I liked the atmosphere, parking was a pain in the butt, but overall a good college experience.
Messy campus. Lots of street people in the common areas. Didn’t feel overly safe during the day.
They won an award for diversity! That’s what I liked about it…great business School, specially the Accounting Dept.
Great School, Great Teachers, Great Location. They won’t coddle you, much like real life, it is what you put into it.
Used to be a university of free thought but now is a social justice factory – Peter boghossian
Pedestrian education. Too many absurd faux social science/grievance studies majors to take seriously – and I am an alum.
Wonderful walk in the Park Blocks…fun to have a university in the city!
Beautiful campus. Large layout, lots of new buildings interspersed with old
The engineering department at PSU is known to be one of the best in the nation. Dr. Hall is the one to get in contact with for anything computer engineering
This area has the best #PhatCart and #DuckHouse and more. If there was a place to visit now it is this area. Easier covid parking, access to freeway
Not much to say about this place. Its located at the end of the yellow and green max line. Or the beginning which ever way your going. Its also next to the freeway on and off ramp.
Gotta still love parties on college campuses. I miss Ann arbor, but parts of portland/PSU help fill void for sure. Go Blue!
PSU charged me tuition for the classes I did not take. The engineering courses I took there just weren’t good at all.
The red-headed stepchild of the Oregon University System and largest university on the state. Manages to have some really great and interesting things, despite its many flaws.
Taking my son too start collage. So proud of him. Love the campus….
Central mall, a park with trees and seats plus excited students. Can’t go to wrong.
Great city and college environment. Friendly people, nice areas to hangout or study, options and opportunities everywhere. Good food nearby!
The most sublime place I can think of in the downtown area. it blends into and lends the environment it’s part of a moment for pause.
This is what happens when administrators with no backbone give way to grievance politics students who have no idea what they’re talking about. Disgraceful. Intersectional feminism is unscientific and authoritarian.
I feel very interesting about the campus, on one side it looks like a shopping mall outlet and from another side of the entrance it looks like an estate, oh such an interesting campus, but things look much better when I walk inside of it
I very much loved my 3 years at PSU. I graduate with a B.S. in Economics and I wish I could afford to attend graduate school here. Go VIKS!
Super campus on the south end of downtown. Right off the streetcar line is nice. There are some great places to eat sprinkled throughout campus.
PSU not only offers excellent academic quality, but great variety of programs. PSU is diverse and fun.
Why does this University push ideologies that physically spoil the very city it’s in? A teacher like John McWhorter would last a few days there.
Great school! I loved my three years at PSU as an international undergrad. Now, back in Norway, I’m dreaming about the good days in Portland.

A debt trap full of core, cluster and inquiry classes you shouldn’t need, all held at the same time. Various majors have instructors just ditching or classes just dropped for no reason so it seems like you’ll never get out. And the majority …
I went to PSU a few years ago (like 30yrs. ago 🙂) great school. …
Great school. Very open minded atmosphere, that promotes learning, and encourages thoughtful discussion, no matter the views of the individual
I will soon be graduating summa cum laude, this is not a brag, it is a testament to the low standards at PSU. There’s zero funding to the arts program (which is a sad joke in itself). Most credits that should be transferable aren’t. The …
PSU is a mixed bag. Really good teachers, but also really bad teachers. The university studies program is a joke. If you get a bachelors degree in anything besides art history or liberal studies, you will have to take these inquiry …
nice campus and sport… lot of weekend feature and a nice courtyard and library. I visit there while my kids getting their education there… I don’t know the it that much, but buildings are nice and lot of improvement projects keep the place up to date.
General courses are a snooze. However they have a great business program that gives students lots of opportunities for career paths. …
Beware of all the fees if you plan on attending this College, they can kill you.
They have some of the highest fees in the state. …
This campus is filled with some of …
People there are very friendly and open to international students
Our daughter gas attended PSU for 2 years. I enjoy the way the university is integrated into down town Portland. The school itself is widely diversified. Wonderful school of business and art po programs.
I attend PSU to pursue a accounting certificate so I can sit in the CPA test. I already have a bachelor degree from another university. The professors here are generally nice. The classes are educative and informative which I enjoy. But the …
Once I applied fro PSU, and submitted my transcripts as a transfer student, I literally received my accepted admission email (not only are the school colors green, they have gone green) 4 days later, and on a Sunday at that. Some people …
Portland State was and is a stellar place for Education. Highly reccommend having highschoolers go through PCC if they are interested in Education. That way they can get an Early Childhood Degree at one of a few colleges that are Nationally …
Anything to do with administration (payments, billing, registration, application) is consistently a nightmare. Their website systems are hard to navigate, find information, register, really anything. Charges and fee’s get included when …
I have had nothing but headaches from this school. While tuition is average for university the extra fees are outrageous, parking is absurd and classes are taught for student schedules only. I understand that I am an older student at 28 …
I first engaged with PSU as an MBA student in 2004. After looking at all graduate programs in the Portland region, PSU stood out due to its academic rigor and its connection to the community. I was hoping for significant Professor …
When I went back to Portland State University in the middle of the last decade. I was lucky enough to have new dorms and big athletic budgets. Today, it’s a crying shame what had happened to the faculty and staff of Portland State …
My Alma Mater and a great place to go to school. You definitely have to work hard and there is a lot of self motivation if you can’t find the right teachers but I was lucky enough to have some great professors here and really enjoyed my …
I have been a student here for a very long time (too long). Almost every professor I had was excellent and passionate about their job. And the one that wasn’t was still a very kind person. I really cannot complain about the people here at …
As Universities go, mediocre to no community campus life during shutdown.
This was a wonderful place to continue my education. I consistently had professors that were able to engage with their students and generally went above and beyond to help them. They are consistently upgrading the buildings improving the …
I really want to say some good things about PSU. However, the only thing I do like is the food at the dinning hall.
Besides that, everything else is terrible. I have been waiting for my diploma …
I had to quit because of their public speaking requirement. I’m a disabled veteran. I am diagnosed with social phobia, among others. The DRC was pointless since I didn’t have an IEP in high school. The advisors for the major were …
PSU is the site of the Saturday Farmers Market, the best I’ve ever been to anywhere ever. Gorgeous produce, tasty hot foods, amazing flowers, cool varieties of meats, homemade cheeses and other items – gourmet popcorn, flavored honeys…. …
Lazy, horrible customer service at every level. Counselors regularly give out wrong information. One counselors told me I needed 4 credits to graduate when I needed 8 and had to delay my graduation. Instructors are just plain lazy. One …
Graduated from here.
If you’re looking to be competitive, def would not recommend the psych BS/BA …
I use to love Portland State University but Michael Roche completely changed that for me. He was completely unprofessional and downright nasty when I was trying to ask for help as a veteran looking to go back to school. It’s hard to look past an experience like that.
Beautiful. Well maintained. Why can’t the rest of Portland follow suit.
I read the first …
I went bowling at PSU. Everything was neat, bright & clean. I’ll go there again someday.
