My primary doctor referred me for a change in vision. My right cataract had progressed rapidly. Both ophthalmologists I saw were great. BUT, their surgery center is out of network for my Medicare Advantage plan, so I’d need to pay $2500 plus more for surgery on each eye. So my time and theirs wasted.
Very bad place! They don’t follow insurance protocol. Which causes your insurance to refuse to pay for services! Go else where!!! There are 5 star eye care providers in Bend!
I had an odd effect in my left eye – kind of like after you look at a bright light and then look away, only all the time. The staff were kind and thoughtful, and Dr. Berreen knew what was going on. Told me just to watch and wait and it should go away. It did, and he had a plan anyway if it got worse.
The eye exam process seemed very rushed. Very poor internal communication. Did not promptly send my exam results to OHSU so I could schedule a critical time related appointment for detached Retina surgery. OSHU had to call to request the exam results.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were attentive and helpful despite being short-handed. I did have to wait almost an hour and a half to see the doctor, but they explained that several were out with the flu. I would recommend them to others!
Lacks integrity, compassion, honesty, and quality social interactive ability; questionable competence of support staff. Doctor seems very competent but lacks suitable ‘bedside manner and there is an apparent problem with turn-over of …
The doctor there actually laughed at all of us that came in because we didn’t know we had ocular migraines. Also, the glaucoma specialist said I had glaucoma…I got a 2nd opinion and found I am a candidate for glaucoma, but I do not have …
The team at Orion Eye Center are professional and caring. My experience with three different doctors (especially Dr. Kristine) was exceptional. This is my first google review, so I wanted to get it right and I’ve been putting it off. I …
Front desk is extremely unprofessional at both locations. My elderly parent has an eye disease so I come here very often and rarely have a pleasant experience with the staff.
I’ve had several visits to Redmond clinic. The wait has been almost an hour despite a morning appointment. No one apologizes. The appointments are rushed and VERY impersonal. …
I am giving them a 2 because the front desk was pleasant. I have been treated for glaucoma for 5 years. Tests in June caused my opthamologist/ surgeon to suggest stopping drops and getting a pressure check in a month. We have been in the …
The only reason I gave them a one star is because it wouldn’t let me give the 0… this place is just in it for money. I had a 7:15am appt. I sat for almost a hour and in that time 20 other people came in. Only 6 doctors??? Why so many …
A great experience all around. I need periodic retina exams following an injury in childhood. This was by far the most professional and informative one I’ve had. Their technology and reports were more advanced than any I’ve seen, and the staff were efficient and very pleasant. Am definitely going back for future exams.
The receptionist is rude she expects us to bring things when nobody told this to bring them on the phone it’s just horrible service here in Redmond Oregon. Maybe they should pay the receptionist more to be nice.
I made an appointment because I had something weird going on with my eye. Had me in later that day. Every person that I had interaction with was amazing. I told them I do not do well with people touching my eyes. They were awesome. Highly recommend them after my experience.
A little disappointed today. I got there at 12:15pm which was way early for my 1:10pm appointment. Was told they would try to work me in sooner beings I was so early. Well I didn’t get called back until 1:20pm.
Third visit in a row my 95 year old Mother-in-law had to wait up to 45 minutes in a waiting room jam packed full of people. Feels extremely production line, no attention to patient needs or concerns, just trying to get as many as they can …
Hugely appreciative of the expertise of Dr. Karen Grove who works closely with OHSU on my very complicated case. She is incredible diligent, skilled, collaborative and professional. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with her …

Had a great visit with Dr. Suzanna Billinghurst. Her reassuring and kind manners put me at ease. Thank you!
Very nice people and excellent service
Staff was great and very informative. My situation was an emergency and everyone was happy to be there and help. Very professional and caring.

Slow! Disappointed with the care and customer service. And if you need a prior authorization, forget about it! It will take weeks or even longer!!!
