Slow and overpriced
Quick to respond very satisfied
5/5 would receive internet service from again.
Everything i needed and expected from an internet service provider.
Art was very helpful in solving my cellphone issues.
Only real choice for internet in town and they know it. Get ITC if at all possible, cannot stress enough.
Great place for cable n internet service
We had wonderful service with Swiftel. After months of horrible service with Mediacom, we turned to Swiftel and couldn’t have been happier.
Internet service is consistent and doesn’t cut out like Mediacom does. Glad I switched.
Absolutely no one wants or needs a landline phone. Bunch of crooks for requiring it to get WiFi.
Internet service is very unreliable. Cuts on and off a lot. We need to do better than this.
The internet is so slow I can’t even run a speed test on it. They also make you bundle a home phone with your internet and make you pay a premium for it. Something we’ve never once used but they won’t remove…
Customer service has always been very responsive and helpful towards me. Internet has always been reliable, and the support team has always been able to help me when I’ve needed it, awesome service all around!
Billing and payments system desperately needs a rehaul. Recurring payments don’t work. The login page is a registration page? Customer service is there but expect 3 followup calls for any kind of change to take affect.
Took time to go for an interview and was told I would hear back with regards of employment with this company and never heard back. What a crock of a company don’t waste peoples time if you have already made up your mind about an interviewee before they even leave the interview.
Internet is ok, not quite the speeds I pay for. Internet is down and they are talking to me like a child when I call it in. They hung up on me three different times “staying on the line to make sure the call transfers”. I tell them about it next time I called and the guy at help desk laughs at me and tells me it’s my fault
The swiftel installers did a great job helping me with the cabling and connections in our home.
Holly got us the plan we needed, and it was a good experience all around. Jack …
Unfortunately I’m changing my review due to the constant dns server disconnects, and CS just giving you the go around. I thougt this was just maintence but i have friends with service litterally next door. This is no longer a problem with …
Customer Service is indifferent. Internet lags. Even when a building didn’t allow their company to have service in it, I got involved and helped resolve it. No thanks, no gratefulness.
The worst service, my favorite part of Swiftel is trying to get ahold of them, often when I go in to the office for help people are not there and when you call no-one answers after a series of number punching. Regularly directed to BMU and …
I got Swiftel for two reason: 1, they had a much more convenient office that was easier to find than Mediacom, and I greatly appreciated that; 2, Mediacom had such horrible reviews from my other friends I wasn’t going to risk it. That being …
Fast and stable internet connection; however, their customer service is so poor that an ape could do a better job. The people on the other end of the phone have no idea how to handle a customer service job, they are rude, have no idea how …
I was charged 518.00 dollars for two months of internet. I am college student at SDSU and my scholarship doesn’t come in the middle of month so they turned my account off. They then proceeded to tell me I needed to pay 225.00 for …
A monopoly ISP here in Brookings, SD so it charges double what other cities charge ($70 instead of $30 per month) under the disguise they give you a landline telephone that is unnecessary but you are required to get it in order to get …
When I moved in, I remember asking what THEY would recommend, considering that I didn’t know what I wanted as far as internet speed. I had told then we would be having up to 4 or 5 people using the internet in some way at a time, but …
We live in multi-unit complex and another one of the renters in the complex did not pay their electric bill so the internet for the entire building got shut off. We called and the people we spoke with over the 1 hour plus conversation …
Holly was helpful in suggesting the packages with various Mb speeds to fit our needs. Once my account was activated, I was able to setup auto pay online and didn’t have to worry about it for the rest of the year. …
Swiftel does things as difficult as they can legally get away with. Here are some issues I have with them. …
I have issue mainly with their billing service. The online system does not work if you forget your password once, and they only send paper bills. So if you are out of town and miss your bill, they are very swift in disconnecting your …
Absolutely horrible service! Constantly cuts out and is very inconsistent. Brookings specializes in monopolies and leaving the consumer with limited and poor choices. If you have the choice, I would NOT recommend Swiftel Communications. Ever. To anyone.
I’ve been a Swiftel customer for years. Tonight I called 24 hour support about possible outages in my area. After being cut off completely 3 times and on the 4th call the service was very broken, I was told, somebody would call me …
I would love to be able to support smaller communications providers but unfortunately Swiftel leaves much to be desired, and they will nickel and dime you at every opportunity. Here’s how/why: …
I love Holly the sales rep out front. So friendly, knowledgeable, understanding and helpful! The store is clean and organized.
Forces everyone to pay for a landline with internet connection. Different forms of additional charges. Terrible billing system. Overcharges and messed up automatic payment system. Issues are not resolved quickly. I wish there was Verizon FIOS or Google Fiber in town.
Set up my services for our new home in Brookings, SD. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Good pricing and excellent customer care.
Swiftel is by far the worst and most expensive internet (ONLY) provider for the Brookings area. Constant internet connectivity issues, more expensive then they should be, and old unreliable utilities. While competitors, like Midco, are …
